- Why I did not use Renntech to lower my AMG GLC 63. I was a little disappointed with Renntech response.

I've had three of my cars worked on by Renntech and their stuff is flawless; glad this worked for you.
Love the blue Breitling by the way; I wear a Navitimer World on that same color.
Thanks for ur comments
"Mr. India," I love it!!!😅 My wife and I had a chance to visit and thoroughly enjoyed. In any case, thanks for this video. I wondered about the reliability and safety of these off brand modules. I'm looking into the Lorinser suspension lowering module which lowers the vehicle, but also automatically raises the stance once the vehicle's speed exceeds 50kmh. It looks like I'll have to pay around $1,500 US, but given the not so predictable road conditions here in the northeastern United States, I'm willing to pay more for this dynamic feature I'll be certain to share the results. Thanks again for the video and link (I went with the Navitimer😅).🙏🏾
For the time I had it was not an issue. The module is not doing anything other than set new parameters on the car. The module itself is not used after the setting is made.
How is the ride quality after lowering? Stay the same or get more stiff?
it’s more planted and precise. a little more bounce but hardly noticeable
Looks nice, want it too )) Is it necessary to do a wheel alignment after lowering? And how to back to factory?
i did not do wheel alignment and you use the model to put back to factory anytime
After you lowered it, do you leave the module plugged or do you unplug it?
Unplugged it and when ever I wanted to change height I would plug in
@@MrIndiaFromUK thank you for your reply

Thought about getting one of these cheaper alternatives but ultimately went with Renntech since I did not want any mishaps to happen to my 2020 E63S. Glad this one works well for your GLC63 but the Renntech module is also great for anyone who's wondering!
Hi I agree you have well known brand with Renntech.
That looks ABSOLUTELY MENTAL! How does it drive? Had any issues?
It drives much better like a go cart
I get it. It's your money/taste and so, why not. But why lower it? You have such a great engineered car already? It's an SAV or SUV, not your other Merc. Plus you have a Ferrari. I mean, you have some really nice handling lowered cars already.
Appreciate your point. I also lowered the Ferrari. Its just personal taste, not faulting the Mercedes engineering and design. However by lowering the car the center of gravity lowers. It is on air shock and after lowering the car drives so much more planted on the road. It is an amazing difference.
I think Renntech is worth the price being an American based company, and incredible product support. Renntech is the one automotive brand i have always had 100% trust in. thanks for your video. But my take on this is, you found a Russian programmer to do it cheap and are complaining about the price of Renntech but I'm certain if you had ANY issues with this Russian module, your first call would've been to renntech to solve it.
I think both Renntech and this module are only interfacing with the car’s software. The products are allowing you to interface with the cars existing functionality. Neither product is adding anything to the car. Its not like an ECU tune for example.
Get 20 inch wheels lowers more
Thanks I was thinking about that
brilliant video Mickey. As I have now sold my type R and gone to Mercedes with the new e-class with is fitted with air suspension. I will be looking into this, thanks for posting Mickey. top work sir
Thanks
Do they make one for Toyota Corolla? 😂
I would love an update from anyone who has used it.. also a link to a video of Renntech on their product would be great as the website does not talk about user interface
The reality is both modules are only interfacing with the cars software. They are nor adding anything
Thank you so much for this Vid .. I too have the same car .. and have been looking to lower it with Renntech... but now, after watching yr vid.. and providing the link to where you got yrs from.. I'll defo take a look in a moment . Thanks again and you've saved me quite a bit of money!!! :)
Watabe, Did you end up getting it? How did it work out? I have the 2021 63.
Nice👍 info. I have the Renntech Hand Held Tuner not the lowering module for the GLE43 Coupe and love it. Renntech was fantastic to me. Performance is great along with top speed limiter removed from 135 with higher rated tires. $2500 not cheap but very happy with it. If I keep my 911S I will use them again.
Thats great to hear
What's the difference between the hand held tuner and the lowering module. Trying to lower my 2022 GLC 43
Was this the 40mm drop or 50mm drop? They have two now
It’s adjustable to what ever you want
Do you know if this works the same for the 2022 glc43 ? And was there anything else you have to do other then the module ?
Don’t know about the 22 model. The module only does suspension
@@MrIndiaFromUK that was a 32mm lower you did ?
How’s the tire wear ?? Did you have to get a alignment afterwards ?
It was fine
Thanks for the video, just purchased a gls 63 and was actually watching renntech videos when I came across yours. The prior comment about the ride was my question. I assume its just letting air out of the bags to lower it correct? I would think it may soften and create a more bouncy ride if that is the case. You mentioned links in your opening comments, are those links the ride height leveling links? I did that on an esclade rear suspension that had air ride on the rear when I lowered it. Just lowered the position of the link tricking the car into thinking its stock height. Doing this option wouldn't affect the amount of air in the bags thus likely providing a more stock ride correct? Not sure if you know, just looking for info on that and wasnt able to find much before I purchase this tool you have. Thanks again
Hi Kurt
I have used links on a Range Rover to set height and it fools the sensors to think the new normal ride height is lower. This can cause havoc with the suspension computers. Both links and the module will use less air because of the lower height but the module sets the height by the computer rather than the sensor on the suspension. When you use the links the computer is still looking for readings from the sensors . If you don’t get the links all correct and equal then the computer can get confused. Particularly a problem when the computer senses an imbalance at higher speeds. The module is the better way to go.
@@MrIndiaFromUK Ahh OK thanks for the info, I have used links before on rears and had no issues with leveling when loaded etc to correct height again but 4 corners air ride not familiar, appreciate the video and feedback, I will get the programmer then. Thanks!
Thanks for the video. I’m interested to know how this impacts the ride, and importantly how it might affect the cars dealership warranty?
I just got my GLC63s and would love to lower it in the same way if all is safe.
Appreciate the video
The ride becomes more crisp. There is a little more bounce but not noticeable
Thanks !
Is there any update on this ? is it still working well are there any issues after 1.6 yrs?
I have sold it , i have the G63 now .
@@MrIndiaFromUK awesome...
how much does it lower the car in low settings on the module ?
Not sure
dope, nicely done
Hello, do you think it works on Glc coupe 250?
As long as you have air suspension then yes
@@MrIndiaFromUK thank you, i asked and my car also has air suspension. Thanks again for the great video.
Will this ruin the air bags?
Not that I know. I have lowered air suspension cars using the ride hieght on Range Rover and Merc GL and never had issue. Of course if the airbags are old to start with you may find them fail due to wear not lowering. I am not an expert . Maybe rentech could better answer the question
I plan to use the same module on mine.
It works well
Hi, I know you have sold the GLC63s but can you let me know how long you had the module for, and how often you used it and if you had any issues with it at all? Thanks in advance.
I had the module for only 6 months as long as I kept the car. I used it twice. Once to lower and when I sold the car I put it back to factory settings
@@MrIndiaFromUK great thanks 👍
Hey Mickey, just a quick thanks for making this video and for your comments to my questions. I bought the module from same supplier (not sure I would have if not for your video would prob gone renntech) and works perfectly - super happy, 5 min to set up and saved heaps of $. 😆
@@suziec7542 Hi , it was amazing value , and no different because Renntec were doing exactly the same. Congratulations.
@@MrIndiaFromUK exactly 😆
I have a 2021 GLC63, any warranty issues to worry about using this?
Not really, when I took the car back into the dealership I was able to put it back to factory setting in 5 mins

How has your tire wear been so far? I’ve always found that lowering without correcting the camber afterwards leads to much faster wear on the inside of the tires.
Love it! Nice 👌🏻
Thanks
Renntech is so expensive
Overprice*
Agreed
Did it make the crabbing worse? And did you get wheels realigned
The car never crabbed in the first place. I do not do realignment because I could vary the height depending on what I was doing. If I had a heaving load I could lift the car back up . I have only done realignment when I have actually changed out the coil overs. In this case these is no change
Wondering if you can use this lowering module after together with a engine tune?
I believe you can and the company who sold this module also have tubes as well
how's is it working so far ?
It’s been great
@@MrIndiaFromUK just ordered it ! thanks for the video
@@dev770903 How did it work for you? What year do you have?
