There are always 2 people experiencing a relationship. What I learned is to never allow myself to beholden to a person who does not love you, does not respect or care for you. I've learned not to allow myself to be treated as a "roommate" towards my partners family, or be cheated on multiple times including with yourself. At the tender age of 22 I learned the value of independence.
It was a please meeting Caleb. I would also add that leaving a long term job can be very similar. In the end everyone is always coming and going and one piece of advice I would add is to always remember the good times.

Three breakups. The last one, years ago, will be my last. Just not going there again. I broke up the first two and was broken up in the last one. But there was writing in the table that I read through that I wasn’t hit from left field. But still…. In any case, I made a pledge to remain single going forward. Yes, someone came along, but I didn’t allow myself to hold on to it.
