RIP Don. I saw them a few years back when they were touring with Simon And Garfunkel (what a great concert). They were still in top form and in their 70's at the time. Had the crowd rocking old school.

Omg. Beautiful and excruciating at the same time. I never saw them perform, so I’ve never heard that slow version. I was starting to tear up by the end.

These two were in sync with each other like few artist have been. When they start and when they stop, they are always perfectly together. Listen to almost any duet from anyone else, and one overdone will stop or start before the other. Just got a split second. It was uncanny how perfect they were

Their daddy, driven to let his sons have a better, successful life, taught them music and the Lord did the rest.

Harmonies don't get any better when it's performed by two people from the same family. Look how closely they watch each other -- making sure they are in sync in every way. So beautiful!

You took the words right out of my mouth. I melt every time I listen to this song or to any Everly Brothers song. You are so correct when you mentioned the purity of this rendition. I was fortunate to see them in the early 2000's when they toured with Simon and Garfunkel, such beauty and grace these brothers were able to create with their voices and their songs and let's not forget Don's guitar licks. RIP Don and I'm sure Phil was there to greet you on your next journey.

I've watched this video a hundred times in the past and just now noticed how intensely the brothers are looking at each other throughout the song. I think they're absolutely enjoying the blend of their voices and just how gorgeous this song is 🎶🎵

It's partly what you said, to be sure .. But I 've heard in interviews where they've said how they need to watch each other's mouths closely to make sure they are both starting and ending their notes in perfect synchronicity .. They were perfectionists with those wonderful harmonies .. So it's a bit of both reasons, I reckon .. Cheers, Wayne

That was the greatest version of this song, followed very closely by Phil Everly singing it on his own! I was around in the 1950s and thank the lord I am still around in my 80s to listen to this wonderful song! Thank you.....

They were the inspiration for Simon and Garfunkel harmony. At 11 years old Simon & Garfunkel would practice to their songs. They loved these guys.
