The editors make running alone in the winter with three-day old dirty snow look so fun and upbeat. There is no less pleasant experience as a runner than running in the wintertime. Also, that was the most cocky masseuse ever, lmao.
I LOVE this! Training is EXTREMELY hard work with little material gains (fame, money, prestige, etc.) for MOST people who dedicate themselves to it. However, it is an AMAZING phenomenon and feeling when your times decrease. You can run competitively well into your senior years if you're willing and able to keep training!😊
Slow running....easy jogging, for extended time period (not mileage focused) increases capillary beds to muscles...according to articles I read. BUT you need intense interval training. Late 70's I jogged w a girl as my only training.....ten miles took about 90 mins. I had no plan and no coach...just started after year n half off. But I raced weekends...quite fresh. 1st ever 25km 1:19:20. First Marathon 2:25. (Just waited for last 6 miles) Following week 29:45 10k road/cross country..(over Duncan Macdonald)..then US Nat XCo in Seattle with Seattle Marathon next day (2nd 2:20 lost by 13 sec) So my point is the increase TIME of running not mileage, I believe was key. I just wished I had thought of it. Also being able to run repeat miles in low 4:20s shows you need speed not just long running to hit good times
Did u do repeat miles in 4.20s, or just saying a good runner needs the ability to be able to do them? Could u give us an example of your progression to sub 30mins 10km and a brief traing plan of yours? Thanks. Ive been stuck in the 30s for 4 years!
I think the problem is when he doing those intervals why he can't hit those split's is because his mileage during the week is to high, not enough recovery time, and not enough focus on speed work.
I'm wondering if I have to type anything no it doesn't look like it I just haven't uh read anything about the punctuation for this this app watching this cam elevens episode one of driven was one of the most enlightening things that has happened to me as a track and field coach as a distance running coach ok let me try this now highly recommended please enjoy this man and watching him train in the middle in through snow through the winter get a quick look at his internal mechanisms at work this young man was in the young as much as young anymore is absolutely amazing so I'm using the dictation app for the first time and I need to figure out all the punctuation yet thanks for putting up with me
@@christophermyers9427 glad he’s had a good breakthrough, but that still doesn’t change what I think of his training IF he’s still doing the same which I’d assume he probably switched his approach considering this was filmed like 5-6 years ago
I like how this video shows the reality of running. Not every day is great, and they captured a pro's bad day hahaha
Anyone else here after he broke his own Canadian marathon record in a time of 2:05:36?? 🔥
2021 and still one of the best videos ever produced by FloTrack 👍
He just runs so softly and easily. Makes that high mileage look like a breeze

I liked it! I dig the gloves.... Seems like a nice Driven runner...its all good! I wish em all well!
Dude your milk is frozen and you put it back in the fridge? leave it on the counter and let it thaw out lol
6:47 crazy thats his easy pace and he's still able to maintain a conversation
That was really awsome. Loved his story life of running. It is amazing to hear about people with the same life style than us.
The music in the beginning is amazing
This video is gospel
5:15 see this is were if his coach was gjert, he would have run again on proposal day.
The dude on the bike needs to get in shape!
Well it's not like he's gonna keep up with a 13:15 5k runner doing a workout on his feet.
he was referring to the excessive breathing while biking at the pace that Cam was running
@@SprinkleOhSprinkle lmao 💀
Just rename the video to "cam levins worst day" 😂😂😂
After track workout, "something doesn't feel right." Has blood gushing out of his Feet and toes 😅 what a legend
I wish flotrack did more stuff like this.
Facts 🙏
This was pretty cool. Weekly mileage, wow!

he is a legend
You just run 2:05.35 all hard work pays off
This spikes Look amazing, where did you bought them??
2:05:36🎉🎉
buddy really ran ten miles and a track workout right after lmao
I know for a fact that he ran after he proposed 😂
this guys actually insane(in a good way)
36 miles per day or just his highest mileage day?
Just his highest milage day. He doesn't average that. He does average a ridiculous amount still, but not this high
I think the problem is when he doing those intervals why he can't hit those split's is because his mileage during the week is to high, not enough recovery time, and not enough focus on speed work.
Tru
anybody know the music in the beginning?
Cedar City is the best
that weather sucks
Based on the comments, I was expecting something way more weird.
No pain no gain he's feet r too frozen so he's fine.ohhh crazy stuff
bro ur running a marathon every day.... what

Lol the guy on the bike is breathing harder than Cam the 2.35 k repeat man
yeah a bit of a odd joint.. still very valid and informative...
And good he got holy smokes
Still not sure why he never ran a 3000m seriously.
why does his mouth always look full lmao
That awkward moment when your 5k pace is literally 1 minute per mile slower lol
🇨🇦🇨🇦👍🏽👍🏽
He does wayyy to much mileage and not enough recovery, recovery is key! That’s why he probably struggles a lot
did you watch the marathon the other day?
Cam Levins, 2:07 marathon & 4th in the world.

@@jacksonpavlovich6288 Yeah I was just joking around. He said he is still doing 170-180 miles a week tho. Quite interesting training approach
This comment aged poorly
He runs to much on the toes comes down on the toes
Canadian RECORD again!!!
