i think he figured he couldnt swim because his friend said "not the water!!" when in reality if he just straight lined it from where he started running through the water, he would have been 100% fine. he went behind the rock because he misunderstood his dumb friend.
That hunter in Uldaman was so dumb...when they were explaining the strat, only 1 person was talking. He wasn't paying attention, went afk, and then tried blaming his teammates for "talking at once"

Yeah the Hunter just made me mad. He was straight up afk prior to them explaining the last boss. Then his brain is still disengaged post pull (whole group running upstairs and he just runs into an empty room with the boss). He'd have gotten people killed in MC...it's for the best.

just recently had that, said 10:00 minutes till shutdown, literally 10 seconds later 00:05 seconds until shutdown and we got kicked in a dungeon. nobody died but we wasted a run

It's easy to say this in hindsight. Dude was probably still in panic mode trying to get back in see if he was still alive had 5 seconds to figure out what his situation was.
It was less that 3 seconds. He removed it after fatfingered it and forgot to put a bind after that. It was a situation you can't understand when you can't reach max lvl 60 in hardcore probably.

But yeah the common tactic is hearthing because raid boss debuffs are removed from you if you leave the raid instance ever since the corrupted blood thing way back in the day.
This was perhaps the most frustrating Hardcore death video to watch. The warlock who just gave up instead of running, the rogue who kept damaging the skeleton while he was running away, the hunter blaming his teammates for going AFK and not listening to the boss strategy, lag killing the warrior at the end, and worst of all, the mage MULTIBOXING on a hardcore character and dying on both! Overconfidence kills everyone...

Getting to 60 takes like 5-6 days of playtime if you're zoomin. Getting prepped for BWL at level 60 is another 4-5 days minimum. My estimate is 250 hours minimum to get back to that point.
A double character death combo is taking it to the next level (even if one wasn't hc, I know). Also sad that that last guy was so close to clicking a petri, but took too much time orienting himself.
The saddest thing about the rogue's death in naxx is that despite the dc he was still given the chance to live And knowing he would have made it if he just remmebered his petri keybind sucks
7:42 that one was so unfortunate. if he had not backpeddled out and just dedicated that one extra second or two to pumping out another attack or two the boss would have died and he would have survived. if you look carefully at the threat meter you can see exactly how long it takes from the moment he pulls threat to the second he is actually clapped by the boss's next attack, it was too late to save his life well before he even started to backpeddle out, so the only option was to pump (or petri) and unfortunately he decided to not do that.
Asmongold in the background - check. Phasing hell - check. Stitches - check. Gets away - check. The reacting to moment when Asmongold sees that one will be gold. As will the fury for the AoE farming Mage. And major Fs in the chat for the Rogue d/c on Sapphiron...

I mean, you can transfer your chars onto Softcore realms after youve died. Sure, wouldnt care for a lvl 18 char, but if I invested the typical 200 hours, you still can transfer your char to your chosing, but I totally can understand if you dont wanna do it or invest the fee. It didnt happen to me yet, but if it did, Id probably stopped playing too.
I've played hardcore for more than two months and only experienced a single DC during SoD launch that fortunately did not result in my death. However, I've had a ton of fun playing hardcore until now and will continue to do so. Dying due to reasons outside of my control doesn't somehow nullify all the fun I've had playing this game. Therefore I'm having hard time understanding this argument. If you don't enjoy the journey of leveling to 60 then maybe it's not the game for you, regardless of hardcore.

Many people do the run-out strat, because not everyone is aware of how this fight goes, even tho it's not that hard. They're also afraid they can't run away because of closed doors.

200+ at that point. a good (any) hunter just leveling will be about 100 hours
