    Niko!! You are way ahead of that airplane, great to watch. I just passed my IR checkride yesterday! I've gone from watching your videos wishing I was flying again to being able to bust clouds, you and a few others relit the fire for me, thanks. I love the Perspective +, my check ride was in a 20 with perspective, still pretty awesome. Take care, Paul.

    Killer IFR brother!!! Forgot to tell you I made a 93 on my IFR written when I was at home. Didn't have enough time to get the check ride in before having to return overseas for work. 182 needed her annual and just couldn't get a DPE scheduled. I'll get it done in July though after Oshkosh. Great episode!!

    Niko’s making the complex look routine. Preparation and proficient. Like the panel footage and radio work. IFR myself and I have used your technique of visual approach, canceling IFR then requesting flight following to maintain squawk code and ATC service. Very useful. Hope to see you at sun n fun. Fly safe.

    I didn't realize I had missed part one! That was really cool of Cirrus to give you that 360 camera! What an awesome gift! This was a great video and maybe my favorite thus far. I really liked the shots of your avionics and your explanations. It sure has come a long way in my lifetime for sure. The automatic approach was amazing! Seeing your hand off the control and seeing the plane automatically following the glide slope was incredible to watch! That night landing was cool. Thank you for sharing your aviation adventures!

    Dunno if you've been asked this before, I know the cost to entry for owning a plane can be fairly expensive. How did the new Cirrus cost, after all the avionics and upgrades were installed? I imagine a fair bit of that isn't standard.

    • @NikosWings
      @NikosWings  5 років тому

      All of it is standard and published on their web site. The cost to buy an airplane is the same as buying a house. You need a mortgage on it or you pay cash (if you have that kind of money). Buying an airplane is not all that hard nowadays, maintaining it and flying it is a different ball game

    • @NikosWings

      Great question, in my experience you just can’t put a time schedule together. My goal is to go and keep going until I’m back home. It may take 2 weeks or 3 or a month. I will plan some business visits while at it and work in the evenings to catch up while producing videos daily.

    Great X-Country in the new plane. I really like the Garmin panel and the new camera! Question; I thought that the plane is a turbo. Why not fly higher?

    • @NikosWings
      @NikosWings  5 років тому

      Great question, higher is not always to your favor when it comes to the wind. In that case higher was better airspeed but same ground speed due to higher headwind. Plus using oxygen at higher altitudes is not the optimal scenario if it gives zero advantage.

    • @NikosWings
      @NikosWings  5 років тому +2

      Yes I did, but never thought it could be a reality for me due to financial reasons. However, due to the delivery of the new Cirrus you get 30-days to buy a position for the Jet for 50% off. So I was able to buy position 637 which will deliver in late 2023. I hope that by then I will have the financial means and bank backing to qualify for the $2M aircraft. If I can manage it you will see me in the Jet in 4 years. It will be a dream come true!
      Now back to the turbo, it is great for being able to fly much higher and faster, especially due to stormy weather in Florida in the summer.
      When you choose an aircraft you do it based on the mission. And this airplane is just perfect for my mission. After this series of 3 episodes I will release an episode when I came back from NW Arkansas 1,000NM direct to Boca non-stop at 24,000 at 260 knots ground speed. That’s the mission I had in mind... stay tuned my friend!

    Another great video, and enjoying the new SR. You've really stepped up your editing game lately! Do you have someone edit your videos or do you do it yourself? • @NikosWings

      I do all the editing from start to launch by myself. It takes roughly 30 mins to 1 hour for each minute of produced video. A 20-minute episode may take between 10-20 hours of production time. But I love it. It’s not harder than flying but it’s definitely involved depending on the quality you look for. I try to push a good product full of content that expresses the feel and full experience of the flight. I hope it works. I’ll take you up on the NYC trip!

    Brother I sure do hope Cirrus is helping you out. Because I wasn`t even interested in the Cirrus until I found your video`s. Question I`m 6'4" probably bigger then your buddy suit jacket is 62 long. I lift things up and put them down LOL. How would the room be for someone my size. Oh I see you answered about Cirrus. But I hope they are helping out more then a camera. Because I`m sure you have or will sell some of these planes for them.

      It’s a comfortable airplane for big guys, probably the best fitted for someone like you but you have to fly it to see for yourself. You should also try a Cessna 182 or 206 that although slower they are good for big guys. Cirrus has been very good to me...

      @@NikosWings TY for your`re reply, I`m loving your channel. What is it that you do that you get to fly all over the country. I`m guessing Business consultant Economic development. Did you give any thought to the Piper Matrix-Mirage or the M 350. They seem to have the same twin turbo engine only with 350hp not the 315hp. With about the same fuel capacity and more interior room. And about the same price point from what I`m finding out.

      I’m sorry I thought I had it perfectly balanced. Can you be more specific as to which part so I can see where I made a mistake during production? If you have a specific minute/second would be great.

      @@NikosWings Same for me on the 360. I wasn't able to move it around. I use Chrome to view videos on UA-cam. I've never had an issue viewing P1D's 360 videos. It did spin around once when you made the 360 gesture.

      Basically the same just faster, climbs double than the old airplane, higher and much smoother and easier on the engine management.
