Niko!! You are way ahead of that airplane, great to watch. I just passed my IR checkride yesterday! I've gone from watching your videos wishing I was flying again to being able to bust clouds, you and a few others relit the fire for me, thanks. I love the Perspective +, my check ride was in a 20 with perspective, still pretty awesome. Take care, Paul.
Killer IFR brother!!! Forgot to tell you I made a 93 on my IFR written when I was at home. Didn't have enough time to get the check ride in before having to return overseas for work. 182 needed her annual and just couldn't get a DPE scheduled. I'll get it done in July though after Oshkosh. Great episode!!
Niko I have been watching your videos for a few weeks now. Yesterday I started my adventure in becoming a pilot with my first lesson in a Diamond DA-40. I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally being able to live my dream. You are a true inspiration thank you for sharing your adventures with us.

IFR myself and I have used your technique of visual approach, canceling IFR then requesting flight following to maintain squawk code and ATC service. Very useful. Hope to see you at sun n fun. Fly safe.
Great flight. I loved the music you chose and the editing. With all of the angles you choose I felt like I was in the cockpit with you for the trip. Thank you Niko I really liked this one!
I didn't realize I had missed part one! That was really cool of Cirrus to give you that 360 camera! What an awesome gift! This was a great video and maybe my favorite thus far. I really liked the shots of your avionics and your explanations. It sure has come a long way in my lifetime for sure. The automatic approach was amazing! Seeing your hand off the control and seeing the plane automatically following the glide slope was incredible to watch! That night landing was cool. Thank you for sharing your aviation adventures!

Dunno if you've been asked this before, I know the cost to entry for owning a plane can be fairly expensive. How did the new Cirrus cost, after all the avionics and upgrades were installed? I imagine a fair bit of that isn't standard.
All of it is standard and published on their web site. The cost to buy an airplane is the same as buying a house. You need a mortgage on it or you pay cash (if you have that kind of money). Buying an airplane is not all that hard nowadays, maintaining it and flying it is a different ball game
Nice plane and night landing. Loved the Osprey, they are just something else. Not the first plane to do it, but maybe the best at it and maybe the only production one. I honestly can't remember the other plane that did it well or if it went into a small production run, but I don't think it did. That plane of yours has a good clime rate.

Niko, looks like the weather is going to be a huge factor in your journey. What plans have you made in case of long-term ground stops as you fly cross country? Also, how long is your block of time for achieving your goal of crisscrossing the states that you will visit?
Great question, in my experience you just can’t put a time schedule together. My goal is to go and keep going until I’m back home. It may take 2 weeks or 3 or a month. I will plan some business visits while at it and work in the evenings to catch up while producing videos daily.

Great X-Country in the new plane. I really like the Garmin panel and the new camera! Question; I thought that the plane is a turbo. Why not fly higher?
Great question, higher is not always to your favor when it comes to the wind. In that case higher was better airspeed but same ground speed due to higher headwind. Plus using oxygen at higher altitudes is not the optimal scenario if it gives zero advantage.

Hey when ATC offered you the option to go direct to MOKXE or URSAW, did you pick MOKXE so you could avoid the procedure turn? Just curious of the reason you picked one over the other.
That’s why, although they would probably vector me I didn’t want to have to do a proc turn, plus I was coming from the direction of MOKXE anyway so it was easier to do that.
Another great video, and enjoying the new SR. You've really stepped up your editing game lately! Do you have someone edit your videos or do you do it yourself? The 360 camera did not work for me
What do you use to view and can you explain? Do you mean that you were not able to move it around or pan around?
@@NikosWings Same for me on the 360. I wasn't able to move it around. I use Chrome to view videos on UA-cam. I've never had an issue viewing P1D's 360 videos. It did spin around once when you made the 360 gesture.
Ok I see, I did not produce it as a 360 degree video but I will
@@NikosWings Awesome! Even without it, great video as always!
Ellinares !!
You know it
Do you notice any differences in flight characteristics between the this plane and your old one?
Basically the same just faster, climbs double than the old airplane, higher and much smoother and easier on the engine management.
@@NikosWings Its an absolutely gorgeous airplane!
Im going to be a pilot I decided that when I was 4 years old
Go for it
Go GREEN!!
