for metal royal atlantic can defend himself vs ''for this purpose amp designed'' like jp model is...in the rest.,,,crunch,hard rock tones,bluesy tones..clean dry or reverb powered Royal atlantic is better amp and probably one of the best pure raw,purest and warmer sound mesa boogie amp ever produced...

Here’s my thoughts: MKII C+ for Rhythm and the Atlantic for the lead, at least with within the context of this mix, both are winners

They both sound excellent but I'm still convinced you can make a Hello Kitty guitar through a megaphone sound good!
They definitely occupy different frequency bandwidths with the JP having a bigger scrote for that big-balls dragging girth - while the Atlantic has more of that falsetto, been kicked in the scrote higher mids and more presence. Excellent video as always Mr Lyncrucci! Your fingers are still smoking after that shred fest brother! You entered "Beast Mode" and just totally kicked some serious arse! Keep doing the good stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!🤘😁🤘

the RA is really dark despite your settings, for metal rythem the JP sounds a lot better,but for lead and solo the RA wins.

I like the JP2C a lot and I think I would prefer it, but the Royal Atlantic is not bad and I think it sounds good too. The mids on the JP2C are really scooped and the Royal Atlantic is the opposite. That is the biggest difference I hear. I wonder if the JP2C would sound more similar to the Royal Atlantic if you boosted the mids instead of scooping them so much on the graphic EQ. I think the JP2C is really versatile and it could sound close to the Royal Atlantic, but it would be more difficult to get the Royal Atlantic to sound like the JP2C.
But for the clean channel, I think the JP2C is overall much better.
