I really like the end-wall tent and I also like how he has his privacy room stacked under the awning. I am working on doing something like that on the driver side so we can easily access the shower that comes with the 12SK or Flav. Thanks for all the great videos, Pat
As long as the model has low temp protection, it is tempting. The amount of batteries on the market that become destroyed charging under freezing scares me.
@@DIYOutdoorLife Me too. Upgrading the MPPT controller to one that shuts down charging at low temps looks to be the cheaper option vs heated batteries.
@@davidelliott400 you also have to disconnect the charging from the tow vehicle. Other than that, just make sure you never plug it into shore power when the temperatures are going to drop.
@@DIYOutdoorLife Good points to consider downstream. My recent outing I was on the local electric pedestal, and I didn't need to turn on the battery switch. My portable power stations do a good job to supplement as needed.
Every time I’m asked why not lithium I repeat Bryan’s tutorial on AGMs. I’ve gotten 5 yrs out of wet cell 6 volt x 2 in series without any appreciable losses. Keep them charged.
Thank you, you hit a bull's-eye. if you keep them charged, and oversize them a bit, there is performance and value that's hard to match. It still seems to be the best kept secret.
I would love to know what the setup time for all this is. One thing I love about my small Class C - I pull into a camp site, level it, set up my Clam gazebo, and I am ready for Step 2.

His awning set up is second to none. His awnings have awnings! 😆
Mike seems super cool; my kind of camper!
This thing belongs in a Bushwhacker museum!
Ive camped with Mike a handful of times. Super cool dude!

We are so looking forward to meeting Micheal and seeing his awesome camper!
It's worth the trip to Texas just to hang out with him!
Haha!!! Good to see ya all!!!
Great time had by all!
Good update. Good points on the longevity of well-maintained AGM batteries. Price decreases on Lithium batteries are tempting. Safe travels.

I'm sure if he made 10 of these he could sell them overnight!
