You're a wimp😊. Well done on your first Yorkshire barbel. If all your hook-lengths are like the one you showed I'm not surprised you were having problems hooking fish. The line needs to come out of the other side of the hook eye. It really does make a difference.
@@albionangling Just remember same side as the point. Barbel rarely fall of hooks that's why I had another look at it. If you ever find yourself short of groundbait but have hemp or crushed hemp just mix it with some molehill soil.
