Congrats on the full time announcement. You are one of the best trail shoe reviewers. Would love to see you as a regular guest on the Conversational Pace channel too, would be fun to hear the three of you talk trail shoes! Great first review of this shoe, which is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated trail shoes of 2025. Looking forward to a long-term review should you release another in the next few months. Eager to hear if you are still experiencing the rubbing against the big toe!?
Really excited about the Vectiv Pro 3. Earlier this year, I thought the Agravic Speed Ultra was the be-all and end-all because I'm a Lightstrike Pro foam fanboy for road running. I like it a lot but didn't quite blow me away. Then, the Tecton X 3 came along and I thought, "Okay, this is IT!" and became my new trail number one. But I had this nagging feeling that I need to give Vectiv Pro 2 a shot so I got a pair on sale recently and, wow, it really is something special. Fortunately, I don't have any rubbing issues with the protruding plate at the forefoot, which worried me before taking the plunge. Very excited to hear that VP3 takes it to yet another level. I still love the Tecton X 3 and Speed Ultra and use them regularly (along with other excellent trail shoes like Norda 001 and Nnormal Kjerag), but the VP2 is the one that gets me pumped up and feels and rides so well for me. The Dream foam just seems so perfectly formulated for the trails.
I would so much want to love Pro 1 and Pro 2, but both iterations give me bloody blisters on the inner side of the forefoot due to the carbon wings😢 just ordered Tecton X 3 and can’t wait to test them out
Dang it. I was so hopeful the rubbing would have been fixed. Crazy it hasn't on iteration three...gonna have to take off my list then too cause that was no fun in the pro 2.
Never tried V1 but after running in V2 for a while and not being able to do more then 6-8 miles at a time due to such bad rubbing on that forefoot I’m way too nervous to drop 300 dollars and have the same issue with these. Really unfortunate because I’m in love with the rest of the shoe

This the Puma Deviate Trail Elite & Solomon UltraGlide S/Labs are the shoes I'm looking forward to trying.
Honestly cant believe a committee of high paid individuals decided that those wings were STILL a good idea.
Evening all. A good description. Like to Taylor. A nice week for everyone.
Congrats on moving to full time!

So they haven't sorted out the huge issue of those forefoot carbon wings rubbing?? That was the biggest complaint of the previous version
It looks like the plate doesn’t come up as much on the side as the previous version
@prwnrdy Yeah I saw that, but Taylor then goes on to admit he had issues with it? Hopefully, he'll do a 50-mile review or something
@@paulmulksI’ve got more than 50 miles in it. There is a little bit of rubbing on longer efforts still
@TaylorBodin-h8f Cheers Taylor 👌🏻 I'll be giving it a miss then unfortunately

1. Put some tape into the forefood area
2. Thicker socks actually help
When dose this release all I can find is 2 and it's still 250$
How many miles will be the life of these shoes?
the black soul is way better than the Yellow sole.
Looks too high and unstable to be useful on non-groomed trails.
It's not quite as stable as its predecessor but it is surprisingly stable
