The top 99 figures have less accessories overall than the regular releases so the lack of accessories is to be expected

Every character in this franchise looks basically the same to me. They’re all wearing almost the same things but different colors sometimes.

Figure feels really nice compared to a lot of the recent figuarts from other lines; joints feel super solid, nothing loose and even the plastic feels a bit better than usual.
I'm pretty sure One Piece is bigger than Naruto or Bleach so I can't understand why their figures have been kind of disappointing. Bandai must have a lot of Naruto fans in their company.
I like soft goods when it comes to capes or robes/coats like this one but the idea of having a different torso made of plastic sounds really good, too. I usually prefer plastic over soft goods since you can get better sculpted details and I think Bandai can do a great job when they want to.
The S.H.Figuarts of Mashle are a great example of what Bandai can do with robbed characters when they aren't being cheap and lazy.
These figures have great range and are super solid, one of the most underrated lines from Bandai.
Soft goods really depends on the design imo. Like capes and simple looser coats/cloaks should all be soft goods going forward since they make those perfectly fine now. Tighter/more complex designs (for example those that have lots of accessories on them) should either be left to plastic or a 50/50 split if the transition can be pulled off
One Piece is actually a good example of all the variance. The show has tons of the capes/coats/wear that can be translated to soft goods. Bad standouts are Kaido/Law/Kidd who's cloak designs could easily have been soft goods, but were not (either due to cost cutting, or they were done in development before they started swapping over). Then we have good examples like Ace with his Alabasta poncho and Shanks. In the middle we have designs like Zoro/Yamato who should have had the lower halves of their outfits done in soft goods since the actual designs allowed for it.
Tough designs are like the upcoming Sabo and potential Marine characters in the future who have detailed/decorated coats (that serve most the time as anime cloaks/capes). They lose the some of the details, tight fit, and accessories making them solely soft goods (cuffs, ornamental tassets/rank badges etc.), but full on plastic/segments can do that, in exchange losing posability and points in the looks department due to segmentation (like Sabo's coat). It just feels like for tighter/more detailed designs we're forced to pick between two options that cannot fully be screen accurate in some regard and eat the tradeoffs
I would highly recommend reviewing the SHF Kaiju No 8 figure, easily the best butterfly joints I have ever seen on an action figure.
If Bandai continues their street fighter sh figuarts then they need the Naruto team focused on Juri to make sure those toes are sculpted just right. good review and nice to see Madara's sister Itoochie Uchi reviewd hopefully you can review her boyfriend Ouch when he comes out.
Close. It’s Narutos boyfriend’s brother but he’s basically his mom so you’re not too far off. Naruto line is just such peak bro.
The robe has like paper tube vibe going on too would have been nice if it like narrowed down at the mid torso and waist and flair out more at the end. You know? So it look like lts really more dynamic than looking like a tube sock with tiny sleeves smacked on it lol.
Would be nice to show the torso articulation from the side to really see the range of it
In this case, I think, plastic wouldn't be very nice (the last iteration of him proves as much).
The cloak can definitely look a bit baggy but in specific poses, especially when using the wire for some dynamism, it can look pretty good. I wish the sleeves had wires though.
I do think that the Minato figure would benefit from a cloth jacket because it doesn't cover him fully. As is, the sculpt of that figure's cloak makes sense only for action poses.
The exposed toes with the black nail polish skeeves me out for some reason...

@@karlluigi1987 Idk if they have too many more details or not (this figure does look better in person, at least to me) but I can can definitely agree with the notion that prices are moving up more than they should.
I do think that most Naruto designs are relatively basic (probably one of the reasons that the figures are so good) but they hardly seem to adjust the price based on the design. I belive the DbZ Cell first form figure was cheaper than a lot of these.

Definitely one of my most anticipated figures from this line. Also funny how Tony starts with the jokes but is so impressed by the end he actually starts talking about the figure more seriously.
i always cover the figure seriously. i just make fun of the source material because the fanboys in my comment section were annoying when i started reviewing naruto stuff. figure quality has nothing to do with source material for me.
