Had purchased the Rod(s) from Dollar General & this is what he noticed about their Rods:
Go figure. I have three sets of the exact same rods from Dollar General and none of them have the insert to place in the tube to make the decorative end-piece fit tight. All three packages are missing that O-ring that fits inside the larger rod in order to be able to use the extender. UPDATE: The O-Ring insert is hidden inside the small rubber end piece you take off one of the rods. It is not in the bag with the screws and brackets.

LadeiJah you’re instructions and prayer was just what I needed. I had it half way figured out the decorative end on the wrong pole kept me puzzled…until your advice . 8:15 am 9/25/2018 I struggled for ten minutes to do this. Usually after 10-15 minutes I know to go to UA-cam and find a how to video. Your video was a blessing to me the first and only one I needed to watch. To get my rod up with my beautiful drapes!!!! I’m happy now
