Excellent review. X3 is better driving, info system and reliability, but as you mentioned in other comments on the limited option choices. XC60 is the clear winner exterior and interior design. I own the fully optioned X3, but if the upgraded optionfeatures are not available the XC60 is the better choice.
For me this latest X3 looks prettier than all predecessors~ its a continuation of X1 design with facade and many other cues it resembles. On the other hand, the XC60 still looks classier than BMW in my personal view..but it does have some drawbacks externally simply bcoz it kinda tried too hard to follows similar language of his taiko, ur XC90 bro which is for me a trendsetter in its class since launched years ago~ So my final pick is clearly the new X3~ Great move BMW!!! 😎💪🏻
BMW always in the shop and $$$$$$ to fix I love them I must say but I’m now a Volvo fan now I love it. I love them both but BMW never change much and I’ve had one so much money in service
this is we call comparison, compare side to side n detailed explain , i heard some those sohai said “volvo i close door sound like saga” , hello? Ur ears got the Db sound detector built-in is it?
Why do cars need to have an "aggressive" design? What does that even mean? Reviewers are always commenting on how aggressive a car looks, or doesn't look. Do they want a design look that intimidates other drivers?
They're right next to each other. I didnt arrange for the T8 to be there. There's only one trim of X3 in Malaysia, and even though we have the T5, no one's buying it because the T8 prices are too near.
We cant even pay for options here in Malaysia. There's no chance to option your car apart from colour and leather, which has probably 2 leather and 4 colours to 'choose' from. This is largely due to our tax structure that depends on car makers speccing up a car with the factory first, and then negotiate with the government on EEV tax rebates that takes into account how many they can sell in order to have a better negotiating power (if the engines are 2.0 and below). Any meaningful sales has to be achieved with local assembly because of taxes. Fully imported cars have a very hard time surviving. But we have almost tax free incentives for locally assembled hybrids or phevs. Hence Malaysia ranks number 2 in X5 xDrive40e in the world, just behind USA. Our 530e is priced at RM343,800 while the fully imported 540i is RM600k (divide by 5 for GBP) the Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription is about the price of Range Rover Sport in other global markets, but in Malaysia the XC90 T8 Plus is only RM420k while the fully imported Range Rover Sport is close to RM860k. Double. So it's a very distorted market in terms of price perception. And we also have tax free for pickup trucks, hence a 3.2 Ford Ranger costs the same as a 1.5 Civic ... weird yes ...
This was the most helpful, detailed video for comparing the Volvo XC60 to its class competitors. Thanks from the USA!
Volvo XC 60 is the one I would own

Nice review! Please talk a little about reliability issues from owners if possible.

6:55 I thought you could recline the rear seats a bit on the X3? however XC60 cannot right?

The Volvo is just such a beautifully designed piece in comparison to the BMW.

This channel has access to nice cars
Volvo quality and class all day
Great review
Good technical explain video
I have a x3 and what he is saying about the doors I don’t find to be true
Volvo look better but bmw is more reliable.
Bobby, come on...you should have compared a x3 m40i vs a based low option x3.
In Malaysia this is the only variant. And it's 10% away in price to the XC60 T8
@@BobbyAngmalaysiaWoW, Volvo is so much cheaper in Malaysia. Poor BMW :(
The X Tree??!!
I guess that's @kon waja beside the x3
Bmw x3 hands down
You do know that there are different trims for both vehicles, as you are comparing a top trim inscription xc60 against a base trim x3 🧐😐

Fair enough, I’m from the uk not aware that BMW only provide se trim in Malaysia, which is a bit poor of them making you pay for extra options.
@@commonfact9680 the additional features might make the price even higher

seems like a reupload haha
For those who stumble it .... haha
It costs less to maintain X3, yes?
Not just less, but free, but volvo has a VSA that is only rm9200 that you can opt in during purchase, effectively making it 'free' too
Yup and anor 2K plus for some other things. All I came up 11K plus under a maintenance agreement.
@@BobbyAngmalaysia that 9200 would be for how many years? 5?
@@BobbyAngmalaysia yup, and currently volvo is offering free service package for nov n dec purchase!
None of them i will go for xc40 hahah
Bobby u look better wearing short pants during car review😍
