I love how commenters on here act like they know more than Biffle, who makes his living utilizing this style of fishing. Guys like him and Denny Brauer are flipping and pitching experts, so if they have had better success catching fish on 25lb fluro, then I'm not going to question that. Sure, a lot of other pros use braid. A lot of fishing techniques can be used differently by different anglers and get good results. If you don't know who Tommy Biffle is then I would question how much you actually know about bass fishing (at least here in the US). Just my 2 cents...
Hey , you are really good at explaining yourself my friend. I enjoyed listening to you and you made it all seem so easy. Now if I can only practice what you preach I'll have a better chance of bagging something the next time out. Thanks for the vid. By the way what can you tell me about jigging?
so many here question the pros... LOL.. remember, they do this for a living... until you have spent some time in the boat with a few of the pros (I have), you wont understand... not only can they pitch 40-60 feet, they can put it in a Dixie cup... its truly amazing to watch... the ability of these guys (Tommy Biffle is absolutely on of the best) at finding fish and pitching accurately will blow your mind...
Lol. But come on it's not like buying the most expensive rod will guarantee you to catch fish. This guy and the video come to show you don't need to spend 400 bucks on a combo.
MR BIFFLE, WHERE CAN I PURCHASE GENE LAREW FISHING HATS caught biggest bass on smoke silver 4.25 bug.just need couple hats. if you know where i can get a couple please let me know. also have 2 biffle quantum tour 7.6 rods.thanks again.
Tommy Biffle has shown me more than any other fisherman ever has. Don't get me wrong there are some great fisherman. Denny is good at finding fish with a jig. I would like to spend time with both Tommy and Denny I believe that would be a blast.
Does this work in post spawn conditions? I am in Georgia and they are pretty much done with the spawn having trouble locating Bass know they are in Grass but outside of top water, how can i get to them.
This guy has forgotten more than you braid lovers will ever know. There are definite reasons for using mono, fluoro and braided lines. Braided line is what most people use because its the popular thing to do. Its a fall back for people that dont know the difference between the lines and when to use them. I hate braided line. You guys cant carry this guys tackle box let alone question him on line choice.
Why do people negatively critique a guy who gets paid to do what he does? If the man prefers flouro over braid and is dragging the fish out of the cover it's obviously not that big of a deal.
6'9" - 7'6" Heavy or Medium-Heavy depending on the rod manufacturer and the size of the person throwing it. If you are 6'6" tall, then an 8' rod may feel just right too. Just buy whatever feels the best. They'll all catch fish.
Floro is very abrasion resistant and invisible in the water. I don’t like braid in less I’m in some really nasty dirty water. I’ve gotten into the habit of checking my line for nicks every 10 or 15 casts and and have been real impressed with the floro
a lot bass hiding in the brush are line shy and braid in open edge water will scare the hell out of them where as fluoro is almost invisible underwater
He isn't really flipping the heart of the cover so it isn't really necessary. If he was going deep in the middle of the trees and brush then it would probably work better.
listen when a legend, veteran pro tells you what to use don't question him just agree and shut up and do it cause that man has caught more bass with his technique than over half of all the people in this comment section combined
That bass went flying when Tommy set the hook. That fish will never be the same again.
Excellent lesson for a first time viewer. Mr. Biffle explains the flip and pitch to where u can actually go out and perform it. Thanks

GottaCatcha Fish ,,,,,,,,,Biffle and Brauer are not flipping and pitching experts. They are the flipping and pitching "GODS"
Amen
Your tow cents is worth $1.25 👍
GottaCatcha Fish I can't agree more , Biffle done forgot more about flipping than all of us know it alls put together.
Tommy is one of the best on the tour, he's fished everywhere
I'm pretty sure Tommy Biffle knows what he's doing.
I'm happy with Mr. Biffle explaining his mechanics!
That bass took a ride of his life with that hook set lmaoo
These guys that pitch this cover are amazing.
I like this guy
Great instruction for My first time trying this. Thank you!

lol in 2012 a "burner" reel was a 7.1:1. Times have changed.
Great video! It was a great help thanks for posting
👍👏.. The Biffle Bug works great too👍👍
I stopped at, "to start, you need a good rod and reel. This is Quantum".....
dabeev ha ha..
On my kids I come back to the video just to read your comment
Lol. But come on it's not like buying the most expensive rod will guarantee you to catch fish. This guy and the video come to show you don't need to spend 400 bucks on a combo.

Big Biffle!! The ICON!!
Tommy Biffle has shown me more than any other fisherman ever has. Don't get me wrong there are some great fisherman. Denny is good at finding fish with a jig. I would like to spend time with both Tommy and Denny I believe that would be a blast.
That bass had wings!!! Haha
Does this work in post spawn conditions? I am in Georgia and they are pretty much done with the spawn having trouble locating Bass know they are in Grass but outside of top water, how can i get to them.
7 ft medium heavy will do the job
I said that once, LOL then I had a 10 lb'r steam roll me in wood and break me off! I use all heavy action now

Yep !
Partially correct
A LITTLE BITTY FISH WILL FLY OVER THE BOAT 0:39
I find jamming a toothpick in the bullet weight to work great and then use a safety pin to get it out when I'm done fishing
Nice Fishing Pole!
@BAM01ism the thing is I use 14 pound test line to flip and it does not brake
Why do people negatively critique a guy who gets paid to do what he does? If the man prefers flouro over braid and is dragging the fish out of the cover it's obviously not that big of a deal.
I learned to flip from the master and father of flipping Dee Thomas.
Should I get a 7 ft 6 heavy or an 8 foot heavy?
6'9" - 7'6" Heavy or Medium-Heavy depending on the rod manufacturer and the size of the person throwing it. If you are 6'6" tall, then an 8' rod may feel just right too. Just buy whatever feels the best. They'll all catch fish.
A Good VIDEO 👍👍👍👍
lmfao! a little fish will fly over the boat 😂😂😂
More abrasion resistant, and you can get more on your spool, and its high visibility
nice video
This must have come out before he released his biffle bug. Otherwise he wouldn't have shut up about it.
Chris Jones And neither would you, if it was how you made your living

"fluoro" as in added fluoride
Dee Thomas the father of flipping has a great flipping rod check them out at Tackel wharehouse !
why not you use braided line
Fly over the boat! LOL
reading the comments makes me convinced that ppl didn't know how to fish for bass 8 years ago..
whats with the last 90 some secs of this video....what happened...lol
LMAO 0:39
hey check out a video i just posted on how to catch bass on small ponds
not if your making short casts
you said 25 lb flourocarbon. Why not use braid?????
a lot bass hiding in the brush are line shy and braid in open edge water will scare the hell out of them where as fluoro is almost invisible underwater
cenexes 12 i only use braid and i have no problem catching big bass with all style of fishing!
He isn't really flipping the heart of the cover so it isn't really necessary. If he was going deep in the middle of the trees and brush then it would probably work better.
Heavy heavy and 25 lb flouro what the hell
asa neal to get fish quicker
Pitching 40-60 ft?!? Is that even possible lol
+David Jeon It's not very hard actually. Doing it accurately and quietly is a different story...
David Jeon I flip 60 ft with a chronarch and metanium mgl. But I don’t do it much because it’s more ideal to just roll cast it.
65 pound braid would be better than flouro
listen when a legend, veteran pro tells you what to use don't question him just agree and shut up and do it cause that man has caught more bass with his technique than over half of all the people in this comment section combined
Turn down the preamp volume next time and you won't fry your sound.
Terrible. I use two puns mono and it works great for me
U can not pitch 60 feet
60 feet is only 20 yards, you can easily pitch that far
You. Got flipping and pitching mixed up
+Preston Estrada lol no
Not true. It was a great explanation of the difference between the two.
no he didn't lmfao -- reading these comments makes me think ppl didn't know how to fish for bass 8 years ago
try braid..hookups will be much better!
