It is so wonderful to hear that you have expressed the sentiment that new writers are needed for the future of DW. In a couple of my previous comments, I noted that RTD has run out of innovative ideas and his recent attempts have been either duds or feel very forced. While there were highlights for Disney+ S1, overall, it was not a big hit. To draw in a new audience, you need to have a strong introduction and a thread of continuity and RTD did not deliver.
Do another 2or 3 seasons with Netflix, because they don’t like to keep good long shows then back to the bbc, go with the change thats if Disney pull the plug
@@GothAtheist All the rest of NuWho is on Max. I think it would all move over there. Bad Wolf has done a bunch of work with HBO on shows like His Dark Materials and Industry, so they already have a relationship, and it would seem an obvious fit. HBO don't have nearly as extensive an international presence as Disney though - for countries that don't have Max, it would probably revert to whoever was broadcasting the show before Disney got involved.
I feel like Disney will keep making it, since I’m from the US and the new specials and season have a lot of rewatch value in my opinion. I’ve already watched everything released so much I can’t wait for more! I have every streaming service that has Doctor who on it, Disney needs more! My friends love the new series too
On a more serious note, they might show a more historically correct version of the Nativity with Mary and Joseph being of African ancestry, which is something I could see Ncuti really being in favour of doing. After all, he included his own ancestral background in the carvings on his Doctor's sonic screwdriver.
To be honest, I think a recommission is quite likely. As time has gone on (not sure re the viewing figures) season 1 has grown into quite a solid first bash at it. Depending on how season 2 goes, and how the christmas special does then I genuinely think they will
It would be cool to see Jo Martin back as i honestly think her Doctor was more interesting than 13. I just hope they integrate her better into this new era than Sutekh.
Could Jo Martin also be in Between the Land and the Sea. I'm not sure of filming schedules/locations. Could there be a cross over episode between the I don't keep up with these things. I feel a fit in between number 2 and 3 doctors would be a mistake but A timeless child story / Doctors family story arc would be good to clear up somethings. Depending on when Series 2/15 completes airing and contractual details are sorted presumably The Christmas 2025 special will also have to be sorted for filming to begin. I feel also in future it would be good for Big finish / Bad wolf writing / story lines to be more closely connected. Could give inspiration for any possible future series.
Bring back the original little girl Tecteune took. The Doctor could save themselves from years of abuse at Tecteune's hands. That might be a very good thing. The Doctor could willingly give the secret of regeneration to Tecteune without all that killing and regenerating.
The nativity thing could be controversial, as you say. If it is disrespectful in anyway, it could be seen as trying to have your cake and eat it too. Not to mention that Boom got a bit of stick for it's Anglicanism critique. Although I think it could also be read as an oblique defense of Anglicanism and a subtle critique of a different religion.
Anglican criticism was already visible in Matt Smith's era, if people weren't offended then why now? But don't worry about Jesus, I think it will be a one second joke, like "Oh your son is cute, what's his name?" “We called him Jesus, we hoped he would be a great man” “Oh, ok, bye!” and bam he goes through another door and arrives at another time event. It would be weird if the birth of Jesus was important in the episode I think
Actually think if disney didnt recommit-ion doctor who then that would be a bad thing if it allows a more suitable international distributor to come in. It fits in with someone like amazon prime much better, netflix would be the best fit if it wasn’t for the binge watch strategy they use.
There is no reason why they would release the colourised version of The War Games WITH A NEW REGENERATION SCENE this close to Christmas unless they were linked in some way. I bet a cheese and ham toastie on Two regenerating into Fugitive.
They released a colourised version of The Daleks last year; besides they probably want to show a regeneration from 2 to 3, as we don’t see this occurring and this is the only precedent that no regeneration was shown for Classic Who, also to update it to the New Who regen look, to keep it uniform.
Glad to hear Jo Martin could be coming back! She IS the Doctor! And concerning the possible star of Bethlehem, if that happens I hope they treat it with respect. Providing a sci fi "explanation" would be disrespectful.
Nah Fugitive shouldn't return cause she is specific to the plotline of 13s era and should just be left with that era. Also why are people keeping saying RTD is continuing the TC when literally the only mention is one line in CORR and thats it.
@friendlyotaku9525 The timeless child was never mentioned at all in the series and if you just mean him being adopted(which doesn't really count as TC) the Doctor only says it once with one quick line in Space Babies and that's it.
@@vortexalliance9938 "which doesn't really count as TC" Excuse me?! Yes it does, that's literally the whole point of that story. And the Doctor mentions it several times in Space Babies, he also mentions the genocide on Gallifrey by the Master as a result of his discovery of the Timeless Child, which is mentioned in both Space Babies and The Devil's Chord.
Ngl, we need more stuff like the 3rd Doctor, John Pertwee. Matt Smith was the last Pertwee-Style Doctor, he was brilliant, but we don't have enough. And another 7th Doctor, Sylvester McCoy, style Doctor. We need things that stop continuously looking backwards, and start looking forward again, doing new things that haven't happened before, instead of constantly trying to bring back stuff from the past, and those two Doctors exemplify that, they never really looked back, only forward, and their styles were more worldly and well traveled, instead of being whiney or vain or blah. Matt Smith's 11th Doctor was great for the same reason, he mostly moved forward, he mostly experienced new things, new places, with only slight nods to the past, rather than the current trend of being consumed by it. Say what you will about Jodie Whittaker's 13th Doctor, but she did the same, all new things, new places, new ideas. Ncuti seems to just drudge up the past a lot. And we need less Russel and more Moffat, Moffat should be overseeing the new writers, so that they can nail down how the show should work.
Yes, hoping the new writers bring fresh yet true to Dr Who shows. The past several seasons, Chib and RTD, had great actors but the scripts and story arches left me overall so disappointed.
So why are you leaving these comments instead of doing it? You definitely spend more time writing these comments on every doctor who video you see than you would spend actually watching the show.

@ We still live in a democracy and as far as I am aware, free speech is still afforded to me. So I voice my opinions on what I am passionate about. I won’t be be silenced by wokery ..
@scratchcardswithscotty free speech doesn't give you the right to be a jerk, it's fine if you don't enjoy something but don't criticise others who do enjoy it.
@ScratchcardsWithScotty and we have just as much freedom to berate you for it. It's freedom of speech, not freedom of consequences. Honestly though I just genuinely feel sad for you leaving these comments most likely for over a year on videos for a show you clearly don't like anymore when you could just watch something you do enjoy or learn a hobby or even watch old doctor who. I just find it genuinely sad people think they have to hate on things that other people enjoy instead of finding something they enjoy. You're only making yourself miserable by doing this.

Even If Disney stops in doctor who for series 3 that doesn't mean there's not gonna be a series 3 because we don't need Disney to enjoy doctor who
I think the resources of an Apple or Amazon would be better for the franchise.
Do another 2or 3 seasons with Netflix, because they don’t like to keep good long shows then back to the bbc, go with the change thats if Disney pull the plug
You don't, sure. How's it gonna get to me and my homies in the US without Disney, huh?

If Fugitive is back I will be SO HAPPY !
I love that character, she is so mysterious.
Jo Martin is doing big finish audios
Those posts of her probably refering to that
Bring back Susan while Carole Ann Ford is still with us

That's not more historically correct, that's revisionism. Blackwashing is no better than whitewashing.
If the carvings is of him pleasuring Blokes I’m sure he’d do it
That Silhouette looks definitely belongs to No other but """CAPTAIN JACK""" 😮😮😮😮
More Jo Martin is always welcome, I absolutely loved her Doctor!!
The Holby City Doctor 😢
To be honest, I think a recommission is quite likely. As time has gone on (not sure re the viewing figures) season 1 has grown into quite a solid first bash at it. Depending on how season 2 goes, and how the christmas special does then I genuinely think they will
They should do a multi Doc story in s2 as it’s the 20th anniversary of New Who next year.
It would be cool to see Jo Martin back as i honestly think her Doctor was more interesting than 13. I just hope they integrate her better into this new era than Sutekh.
The 15th doctor meeting the fugitive doctor will be good
Not related to the video but would a Christmas Special count as series 2, like we know series 2 is filmed, does that include Christmas 2025?
I think you’re spot on with getting at least some kind of Nativity allegory if not the actual thing in Joy To The World(s?)

Doctor Who: Once and Future.....?

fugitive doctor Will be in one episode, the Main focus?,or only a cameo!?,i want to see that in "season 2"!
rylan clark is the new master... let that spoiler sink in!
And the Doctor IS Jesus in this episode.
What about Terrifying Ravenous Radish?
I want to watch that!

TRR->The Rani Returns.....😂
I’d love this
You beat me to it! 🙂
@Melkur1981:
Yes it would be fantastic
if this happens , but ( yeah I know) not sure
about copyright ?
Pip & Jane Baker own it !

They've mentioned Matt Smith a LOT Milly especially so If anyone is returning my bets on him especially with the newspaper on the cover

Itll be 14 most likely.
Doctor Who will continue. Hopefully without the Disney factory involvement.

TRR Jolkien?
It turns out that when your only ideas are "hire gay men I'm attracted to" and "but also men are women", your show tanks hard
What? Get out. Sexist homophobic loser.
Tumbling Rabied Rabbit??
TRR The Rani Returns?
Love watching The Confused Adipose, Very Interesting Guy, As For Doctor Who, I'd rather watch paint dry
Interesting news but touching grass is more fun! 😂
Just touching? 🤔

So go do it!
Rylan!? Eh?
Touching grass holds more appeal !!
Trust me, there aint much grass out. It's cold and damp out. Wouldn't recommend it.

Years ago everyone use to complain about JNT being awful I think RTD is far worse. The more I hear the more I just feel sick.
