Like you, I fell in love with the Nissan Altima from renting Enterprise so much that I purchased a fully loaded Altima SL 😊 A two day road trip to Florida never felt so good 😂
I need something like that in my life lol.
Hello uber man . i have the same car alot of my customers tell me i didn't order uber xl . i tell them its only ubet x . i love my car . i have 20 inch rims crome .
I did same thing with my 2015. Rented it and couldn't find better lol so I bought one.
My husband and I just bought a Nissan Altima 2018 because he started working for Uber here in Nashville it’s a beautiful car and the gas mileage is amazing! Ours is a brilliant silver it’s a gorgeous car ! We have always had Nissan they are the best !!!
My Nissan Altima is my road trip baby...it's gorgeous, great on gas and superiorly fast. Everyone make sure you get the CVT fluids changed frequently for better functionality 😁
I've got the Nissan Sentra SR. pretty sweet and is fully loaded.
I have a 2016 Nissan Sentra SLfully loaded. It has an eco button. My best mpg with eco button was 48.2. And I hadn't thought about it but the seats are very thick and cushiony and very comfortable.
Great car im driving a 2015 with Uber. CVT transmissions are delicate to maintain . Treat them right or they will go out on you !!! Dont dog it.Dont put the red stuff in there it will destroy the trans, only the green CVT fluid ONLY. I love my 2015 Altima. 76k miles and running great.
Thanks for the info.
I own a 2016 Altima and I love it. I drove it from Miami to Chicago with no problems 3000 miles and let me tell you that I love it even more. Mine is the base S model 4 cylinder it gives about 500 miles per tank. Now it has 24000 miles.
I bought a 2016 Altima in December. It too is a base. Mine came in black but the interior is a beige black mix. I made them switch out the 16" wheels for 17" rims/tires. The ride improved as a result. I noticed your tail lamps are set to the turn signals instead of the brake lights. Interesting.
sunny eclectech did they give you a hard time about switching tires? I never heard of dealerships doing that but I plan on getting a 2016 altima in a few months
Hey randy thats crazy your doing a review on the car i just totaled .i had the sr model with all the bells and whistles. Used it for uber and got several comments on the comfort. If you saw the pix i posted my altima was totaled but all the safety features kept me safe.. thanks for the review. If you ever get the chance drive the sr version
This is the same car that did over $10K in damage to my Mustang GT LOL.
do you reccomend a hybrid car for uber and other drive sharing apps? honda accord, toyota camary, and ford fushioun caught my attention.
Good review & perfect Altima.
I forgot to mention the opening and closing shots and the action shots of the car cornering really looked professional and added to the review. I worry that the CV trans will explode, (or the belt will wear out quickly)don't know why I think that, it must be based on some early attempts that I have heard about. What do you know about this transaxles durability?
Thank you. I put in some work on that one lol. I believe if you maintain the CVT properly it should give you a good reliable life.
This is true over 300 complaints about ppl CVT in Nissans giving out on them before it has 40,000/mi on it.
Found out the hard way when my 2015 Sentra Transmission blew on me
I UA-cam this issue & saw nothing but complaints of ppl having Transmission issues it's sad.
I kept up on my maintenance no warning no lights saying anything was wrong. Looks nice on the outside but rotten on the inside. Nissan CVT's are garbage
STAY AWAY FROM NISSAN
You answered the question on my mind, After seeing you get out of the car, I was wondering how tall uber man was lol yo i can see you making an offer when it's time to turn in back in 😎
LOL I wouldn't really want a rental lol. These things are abused.
It's better than my Chevy Venture Van 2003 for sure , I drove one we rented for a weekend trip.
I agree. I have a Nissan Altima and passengers are always amazed at the amount of space they have in the back.
I also wanted to get some input from you regarding the Uber Acceptance Ratings and Cancellation. I have been submitting numerous complaints regarding this. I have accepted rides by swiping the screen and the words "Accepting Ride" appears but the ride is not sent through. What does happen is my acceptance rating goes down and the system shows that I have cancelled rides. When I try to point it out to various Uber agents that respond to my complaints that are going back and forth I feel as though they blow it off and try to make it seem as though I am doing something wrong. I get threats of having my account deactivated for not accepting most of the request when I know it is a technical glitch. I could not the only 1 this is happenin to. Right now, there is a promo going on but the acceptance rate has to be at 90% but if this keeps up I will not be able to benefit from it because of these glitches that Uber is failing to fix. Sometimes while I am driving the Uber app resets as though I never swiped to "Start Trip"
Please help! Thank you!
S not SE. No such model (not anymore at least) nice review though. I have one and enjoy taking it on long drives. Amazing fuel economy.
I Love my Altima 2016 too so you and I have something else in common .... and I get a lot of compliments on the car and you are right and my music sounds good. It is very woman friendly as well .... and you look good in it.
:) Thank you.
They are good cars indeed, strong cold air, hot and toasty heat in addition to other features.
looks like it handles awesome on the freeway
It's a pretty decent little car. And with 30K rental miles on it that's like 60K regular miles. People trash rentals.
I have a 2011, it's a great car.
I bought the 2010 Altima at David Stanley Ford :( . Love the car though.
Been looking at the Mercedes, I think their looking good right now.
I've got a 2016 sentra, use it for uber and spend around $5 on gas for $100 to take home... gotta love nissan guys
It's a great car no doubt!
Yeah i have the 2014 nissan sentra sr and i get the same. I can usually make 20 bucks run for 2 days and earn $400 in 2 days with it by doing food delivery and rideshare.
Damn. I need to move to a bigger city. I put in 13 hours and only got ONE ping. Then they cancelled while i was in route!
I have had days like that in my small(50,000 population) college town and I have had ping ping ping all day, so I feel your pain. Larger city = more pings and a chance for longer trips but on the flip side, it also means more competition and lower bucks per mile.Good luck and be safe
"driving this little car" .... hahaha I drive a Chevy Spark o___0 .... nice car Randy ! greetings!
Thanks. No offence intended. I used to drive a Spark too. It's a quick little car!
Very much like my '15 Accord Sport and less expensive. It does have 7 hp less than my Accord. Still very nice for the money.
Do you still have the Accord? I have a 2018 Altima SR and I sometimes wished I had gotten the Accord Sport for the longevity and reliability.
@@texan903 No, I traded it for a '18 Civic coupe turbo.
i have the 2014 i love it!!!!
They are very comfortable cars.
I financed mine through uber they got me on interest over 7.5 but brand new
That's not bad at all!!
My second eldest sister still got her 2017 Nissan Altima SV since new
they have that altima with no miles for 16.4 at my dealer. fully loaded 2.5sl is 23k there! 8.5-10.4k off sticker. if everything goes ok I'm getting mine on Thursday
occckid123 did u get it?
@@mituljariwala9821 that's funny I haven't checked here in so long. I did get it LOL!
CVT?!¿? I have honda mobilio rs (DD4) 2016 cvt..
CVT is to silent sound make cars is dangerous to somebody not notice in the backside..
comfortable, silent, smooth, 5 star-rating, passenger sleep well..
CVT is amazing!! 👍
How does the interior & ride compare to the sonata u had??
The Sonata had more features, no CVT, and about the same MPGs. I wold say the Altima rides better and is more comfortable than the Sonata. BUT: I hate CVTs LOL. The Sonata was also not $22,400. A 2017 Sonata SE is $19200. The other BIG thing to consider is warranty. The Altima has a 5yr/60K whereas the Sonata has a 10yr/100K. I'd go Sonata over Altima.
I was just curious how they compare. I have the 11 sonata GLS. I GOT it in march 2013 with 27,000 miles. It was in immaculate condition. I realize now I overpaid (15,000) but it was in like new showroom condition. I'm still happy with it (140,000 highway Miles. I commute a lot)
I still love Hyundai / Kia. Those things are reliable!!
I just dropped $170 on serpentine belt replace ment. I can't get stranded.
Damn that is an expensive belt!!!!
I am a HUGE fan of Nissan. So much so.. I'm on my THIRD " Z ". Quality Product.
I too love the Z's
thanks from Egypt
peace& love, how is the camel ride compare to this altima? Maybe more fuel economy because you will only fill it with grass? 😂
I want this car so bad. What’s the song in the intro?
Trans cvt has tendency to fail if you don't change fluid at around 70k
That's what I use for rideshare in NYC. :)
Is it good on gas bro?
Uber Man I have not heard anything on the video that the CEO made in a Uber driver car.... concerning the low rates and his reply. I wanted to hear your opinions on the how Mr. Kalanick should have been an example or at least gave consideration of a decent reply to the driver's question or can you give that sort of opinion without getting in hot water yourself ... any kinda opinion as to what you saw with the video.
I did a video about it on here.
okay am going look for it
Uber Man, did you used to sell cars?
Back in the day I owned a car lot, yes.
Scott H, so that’s why...
Haha idubbbz content cop intro song
You kind of see where I'm going with this Uber man, I met with VP of Hines corporation which own over 268 skyscraper's world wide and he says I'm exactly correct, taxi zones and taxi stagings will convert to direct hire -direct boarding vehicle for hire zones with zero wait and zero app fees ,eliminating allll app company's out of those markets,so the following with eventually go direct board direct hire ,all hotels, all downtown s all airports all convention centers all.medical centers and all stadiums ,because let's face it - No one is going to app and wait for more money when the car they were apping was already waiting there to begin with,I hope this clears it up ,so basically what I am saying is ,60% of ubers rev come from major people platforms- platforms were 3rd company will go obsolete very soon.your thoughts?the govs will set the rate at the vehicle for hire zones ,15% less than app rates - No surge ever at the zones.
Is there going to me more uber livestreams soon?
You bet!
Yes!
I have the 2.5 SL version
My mom has a Altima pretty sweet and in the backseat I could freaking sleep in that thing
There is no SE trim, this is an S trim, S -> SR -> SV -> SL
I have this car
Illinois plates, schweet!
Isn't this the same car that hit your Mustang? lol
It sure is. Same year too lol.
You're probably the last person to rent that can before auction...unless it's super clean or you picked it up at the airport it was probably already on the line for auction.
You're right. They tend to auction them off around 25K - 30K. It is almost immaculate. Almost.
Daniel Lacker Enterprise keeps their cars for about 35K. Enterprise tends to keep a older fleet.
Disney Fan I worked at Hertz and they keep a newer fleet....That's why they are the most expensive. We had a car with 40,000 miles that was a fleet car, still looked brand new. We had the mechanics check to make sure that the odometer worked correctly, we were shocked. Some cars come back with 500 miles and are trashed
Daniel Lacker Hertz actually has the oldest fleet nowadays. They keep them for about 40,000 or 24 months. Which ever comes 1st. Their revenue went down by 3% last year due to a decrease in customer service and Fleet Quality. National and Avis/Budget have the newest fleets nowadays.
2.5L is not a small 4 cylinder. A small 4 cylinder is a 1.5L Honda civic or something. 2.5 is actually very large for a 4 cylinder. It's rated 27 city / 39 highway. Not the best fuel economy for ubering!
The lady who hit the 2015 mustang had a white Nissan Altima.
Good eye. She sure did. Hers was also a 2016 Altima lol.
Elijah Florez, so it means altima is faster than the 2015 mustang?
Elijah Florez she couldn't handle the damn brakes
why didnt you pocket the car rent money since you have other cars and drive ur car
It doesn't work that way. They won't give me the rental car money if I don't use the rental car. I'm down to one car now and my fiance uses it for work. I need this car.
Uber Man i see that sucks
Thanks for the review Randy.I am still driving for UBER after 3 months and 365 rides. LOVE it 97% of the time and I am ready to say go to hell UBER 3% of the time. Guess I will stay a while.
Good Luck with that, I work at a garage and those cars are awful
I don't need luck. This is not my car. As I said it's a rental. All my cars are under warranty.
I like Nissan a lot, but never, ever been a fan of the Altima. Nissan puts it up against Camry, Accord, Mazda 6, etc. but it is actually less car when you do a detailed direct comparison. Something between Corolla and Camry, Civic and Accord, Mazda 3 and Mazda 6, the Altima IMHO just falls a bit short and is almost in a class all its own, thus the lesser cost. Also, ratings, Consumer Reports rating it below near the bottom of all comparable cars, from most car magazines just show that it really doesn't compete when all things are considered. I'd definitely go with Camry, Accord, Mazda 6, etc. over Altima and spend a few more bucks, it's worth it in the long run. Yes, I have driven it at various times over the years (always hoping it would get better, including styling), but have never been impressed enough to not want to spend a little bit more money to get what I considered to be a nicer and better car. Yes, it's good on a trip. Just my opinion, but a pretty strong one concerning the Altima. Still like Nissan. Just my opinion. Uber On, Randy!
I can't disagree with you. I'd personally go with the Hyundai Sonata. Cheaper and way more car for the money. But IMHO the Altima is a more comfortable car than the Sonata.
Uber Man wondering if you have sat on the current sonatas? I too feel the seats are too hard on my 2013 but they have changed the look of the front seat.
UM,when will I hear from.u?important
What's up?
Trump approves uber and repro taxi
Uber on lol
Uber on
Uber Man, you surpass consumer reports here. Might want to consider the latter as another employment venture?
I'd be down for that lol.
rating a loner car? I don't get it.
Ok.... ??
#ad #sponser lol
I don't like French cars. Nissan has a rich history of constant recalls. more so than any other car. you spend a lot of time at the dealership.
Nissan is a Japanese multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Nishi-ku, Yokohama.
Michael Deering Nissan is owned by Renault. Renault is hq'd in a suburb near Paris. I use to audit the Renault-Nissan alliance. Nissan hasn't been a stand-alone company since 1999.
@@markzajac Renault doesn't own Nissan. They're a merged company, but Renault doesnt engineer these vehicles. It is still very much a Japanese car.
Altima fan boys, lame.
That's why I drive a '15 Mustang GT Perf. Pack. Because I love Altimas... Dipshit.
