The Equus (Hyundai Equus) was one heck of a car back when it was out, around 2011. The rear had a big screen to control stuff like HVAC and radio, where the 7-series and S Class didn't have them. It had a 4.6L V8, air suspension, massaging seats if it was the Ultimate model, heated/cooled rear seats.
Id buy it... I got a 2006 kia Sportage LX about to be for sale for $3000.. 134000 miles drives good just needs 2 front struts with mounting plates cause the bearings came out.. all new front suspension including wheel hubs and bearings ... Brakes... Getting a new radiator soon cause old.one leaks from a crack in plastic tank... Solid car thou..
Love the old Buicks and the Ford panther platforms. I currently own a 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis. I have had it for 6 years and plan on driving it for another 4or5 years. They are big comfortable and reliable. Perfect.
Love that LeSabre! Two things: Even American cars can get to two hundred thousand miles, if you take care of them. And: That will definitely get you through the next Oklahoma winter. Here in Chicago we always believed if it kept you off the bus stop on those (massively) snowy days they were worth it.
I've never heard a cluster of black ice little trees air fresheners referred to as "the felony forest" that's a good one! that is absolutely hilarious 😅 ... nice.
I think the buick is grandma keeped its nice for a poor man like me I change the oil and fix what it needs for breaks but them cars are nice in my book
Hoovie had the same equus, He was doing burnouts all day that thing was a beast, one of his most watched videos too by the way, you don't see many of them and for some reason I would just debadge it and love it, this was before Genesis was even a thing. But for some reason to me I think they're really amazing and a good bang for the buck plus with that nice big V8 they're a blast to drive. I love to find one that wasn't beat with low miles. I wonder how they hold up over time but I haven't seen one too shitty looking
Hello Randy. The 2013 Dodge Durango R/T is a good looking SUV with a little hail damage. The Hyundai Equsis is a good looking car. What is the Pontiac in front of the Durango
Randy, I always wondered why GM got rid of the 3800 V6? Any idea? I’ve had many GM vehicles, Chevy, Pontiac, Buick, and Oldsmobile with many of them from the 80’s, 90’s, and early 2000 being 54 now. Ive had a variety of their 4, 6, and 8 cylinder engines and to me that along with the old 5.7 350 were their best engines!
Regarding the equus, I guess it all depends on how confident you are in repairing its air suspension at a reasonable price - clearly the insurance company was not😅!
You gotta bid on that Hyundai Equus Randy that’s such a good buy with that V8 under the hood!!💯 The rear center console also has extra controls as well!!!
I don’t remember, maybe it was Yahoo that had a story on what you found in the Durango and it was on my Google news feed. I didn’t read the entire article because they try to make you read too many pages before getting to the point.
I'm not surprised about the Buick. I have read on many forums that say the 3800 series engines are pretty much bulletproof if serviced as they should be. Our son has a 2001 pontiac grand prix with the 3800 and it still runs just fine. One of the coil packs went bad so he went ahead and replaced all of them, and the plastic manifold cracked an was replaced. Other than that it has been a really good engine.
Hey Randy, good afternoon I just got done watching your copilot walk around and I love what you do man the last car that you just showed us before you ended the video. I think you need to try to get it and put it on your UA-cam channel I’ll be looking out for your new video on it if you decide to get it. If not, that’s fine. Can’t wait to see your next video. Whatever you have planned buddy I hope you have a great day. Talk to you later.
I've had a few of the LeSabre's and the Park Avenues they are nice cars and very reliable. Yeah they are a bit dated but as you said a few hundred bucks and your on the road riding in comfort. ✌
The "HEMI tick" is from the manifold gasket. Once the engine warms the gasket expands and the tick stops. It is not ticking valve tappets. There is a huge difference between the two.
Gotta say, I don’t always agree with your views, but you’re spot on with the Hemi tick. Ford is doing it right now with the 5.0 coyote as well, they give their customers a print out from the national engine builder association that says it’s normal and to not worry about it. Forget and proceed basically, but you’re absolutely right, an engine ticking away is not normal, especially when it didn’t or shouldn’t have done it from brand new! Couldn’t agree more.
I had an 02 dakota with the magnum v6 in it. It had the tick in it from day one. In 2020 A lady pulled out in front of our son , and he rolled it in a ditch to avoid hitting her. Even with the tick, it only failed to start and run just 1 time in 18 years and that was because it needed a new battery.
I know Toyota has recalled over 100,000 new Tundra's with the twin turbo V6, but I doubt that is why this particular Tundra (17:19 behind the black Impala) is there. The front end looked clean on both sides, so was this one destroyed in the back or what is the story?
I always wonder about these older RV’s. We live in Myrtle Beach, SC and there are SO MANY older ones for sell around here by owners that bought new ones already and have their older ones to sell still. My concern is I’ve heard that many parks don’t allow older units to come into their parks for stay. Does anyone know about that at all? My wife and I would like to get an older reasonably priced one for short trips, like to other places in SC and NC that are most no more than 5-6 hour drives. I have health issues so driving that far in a regular car is tough for me. Any and all information is much appreciated. Sorry for asking on your page Randy. Figured maybe you might know also.
The Equus is very nice and that one could be a nice car. However I noticed that the head rest on the driver side had deployed which means the car was rear ended and that deployed to help with the whiplash. To reset those is very expensive so be careful with that one.
That is the 4.6 in the 2012 equus they ditched the 4.6 for the 5.0 in 2013 and up genesis and equus models and everybody thinks that because ford had a 4.6 and a 5.0 also that hyundai used fords motors to put in their cars but that isnt the case they made their own 4.6 and 5.0s and they are very good and damn good reliable engines
Used to own a ninety-five LeSabre and loved it. Now I can't afford any thing but my ride free senior card, and the highly appreciated help of relatives.
For the winnebago class c it has a egeine battery and it has a house battery with a shut off valve for the house battery's once you click that switch on the house battery's will work
My son works at dodge dealer he says brand new hemi's will tick if they sit on lot to long without being ran just because oil has had time to leak out of lifters, he says to rev them to 3k and hold them there for 20-30 seconds .....to bad it ran out of gas I bet the tick would of stopped my 2018 Laramie does it if it sits for couple weeks
@autoauctionrebuilds Man Those LaSabre’s are great highway cruisers. They also get 30mpg’s or more out on the highway too. You can’t go wrong with the 3800 engine. That Hyundai Equus is very nice looking. The value on those dropped like a rock which makes it a bargain luxury buy that actually pretty reliable.
I'm actually watching the channel for a long time for the kind of cars you say are crappy ones. I really don't care about Camaros and supercars. I'm here for the old abandoned ones with still some life left in them that only require a bit of work. It's interesting to see you work on them too. I won't relate as much by seeing you changing a transmission on a Monte Carlo or or removing an intake manifold from a Viper. I relate to see you work with Monkey Wrench Mike on that old Saab or seeing you change brakes on an old Tempo or diagnosing on the Econoline or changing a fuel pump on a Volvo 850. I can understand that maybe it's not great money-wise to have them on the channel, though. The last cars i bought, i bought them from junkyards or about to be sent there. There is no better feeling than saving a car and noticing how someone trashed a car for so little and now you're the one enjoying it for a small amount of money and bit of elbow grease. From my own experience, they kinda have some soul or something. When you save them from their forever last ride, they tend to pay back and be reliable. To be focusing on the video again: The Equus seems to have something really wrong with it. The LH front wheel is tilted to the right while the RH front wheel seems straight. There is also something visibly broken and hanging low when you look in the wheel well behind the LH wheel. Maybe you should use some kind of stick to film under cars and have a better opinion on them. It's obvious you can't crawl and look under each one of them. No space, dirty, etc
Chrysler hemis will get the tick if they sit for long periods. There is a TSB for them, rev it to 3k rpm’s, hold for 2 minutes. If it continues you repeat the process two more times, if it continues then it needs lifters.
The screwdriver was the hood prop. And I'll take that inherent 318 tap over the 'hemi tic' any day. At least with the 318 it's seriously just part of the motor, but that hemi tic sounds dreadful.
So 2 things on the Durango. One I don’t think it was out of gas. If u notice when the engine died there was a red flashing circle while starting. That looks like the Anti theft warning light flashing that was preventing it from starting. Also number two notice the button on the driver side door? That’s for the keyless entry to lock and unlock the door. Also if u notice when he took the key out after it failed to start the display said hit brake then press button to start. There probably was a button on the key slot and someone took it and just used the key instead. Mercedes push buttons are removable too so they can just use the key.
I had a 2002 Buick Lasabre 189000 miles. Lost it two years ago. It was hit in front of my house. As devastating as it was insurance gave me 5 grand for it. Great car! Same problem with ceiling and window regulators.
Bring the Buick and save it. If it makes over what u pay for it in UA-cam revenue then do what u did before and gift it to someone in need. Just a thought people, don't shoot me down for it.
The Hemi tick is from an exhaust leak. Probably when they cut the exhaust off. The Sentra I'd drive in a heartbeat. You don't see a ton of Code Red Sentra's, unless SE-R or Spec V.

It had a 4.6L V8, air suspension, massaging seats if it was the Ultimate model, heated/cooled rear seats.
That screwdriver was probably the hood prop. Been there, done that. 😂😅
My thoughts exactly, come on now Randy lol 😂😆
obvious
Hell yes

That Equus is a great buy
That Buick definitely worth bringing to the channel
The LeSabre is the best commuter car ever. Period.
And jamming to Watermelon Crawl while commuting
Go for the LeSabre! Don't think you'll regret it. Linwood E White
They are good cars. I question their safety. I had a family member not in a major accident pass away after getting in an accident.
I'd take that Le Sabre all day long. Those 3800s run forever!
@@wushock92 been running mine for YEARS🤣
Love the old Buicks and the Ford panther platforms. I currently own a 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis. I have had it for 6 years and plan on driving it for another 4or5 years. They are big comfortable and reliable. Perfect.

Loving your vids as always mate from Perth WA!
You should have opened the rear armrest in the Eqqus. There are goodies in there.
can I finish that sentence you wouldn't finish it's a great little car for Nick
😂
New drinking game. Lol
All day yes on the Equus. I'd say a few good vids on it will be big. Hell yes on the 15,000-mile RV too! Max on the RV I'd go is 6000.
I think you should bid on the Equus and LaSabre.
I think you should bid on the huyndai equis
Randy I have a 03 E450 31 foot with 88k we show dogs has always been a solid runner.
I like the lasabre I had a 96 model that had over 300 thousand got it when it had 97 thousand ran like a champ I enjoy watching your videos
If you lower the armrest on the Hyundai equus you can operate the air conditioning and the radio from the rear
I've never heard a cluster of black ice little trees air fresheners referred to as "the felony forest" that's a good one! that is absolutely hilarious 😅 ... nice.
Oh u like those slick racist jokes dont u
I think the buick is grandma keeped its nice for a poor man like me I change the oil and fix what it needs for breaks but them cars are nice in my book

8k for that RV is way too much but you got the right idea. I'm cheap so I'd offer 2-3k max for it lol
always love the videos randy!
That equus was a budget Mercedes fully loaded with fridge and reclining rear seat cost less than a base s class and the equus had more
For that Winnebago. $4500 and that is being generous Randy.
with the shotty "rebiuld" the last guy did to it i persoanlly wouldnt touch it. who knows what kind of hidden surprises are under that tape...
$4500 for a v10 powerplant is not bad.
That winnebago is in excellent condition on the inside.
Definite potential.
Keep it up Randy we love it!
Hello Randy. The 2013 Dodge Durango R/T is a good looking SUV with a little hail damage. The Hyundai Equsis is a good looking car. What is the Pontiac in front of the Durango
Yo Randy That Was A Equus ULTIMATE Edition When You Were In The Back Seat You Didn’t Pull Down The Console Go Back And Do It Bet You Be Surprised 🤣
I would watch the Equus rebuild. Looks like a nice car
You know you're blowing up when this pops up as an article on my homepage. 👍 Keep up the videos
Randy u have to hook up the power over the R.V. for anything to work
Randy, I always wondered why GM got rid of the 3800 V6? Any idea? I’ve had many GM vehicles, Chevy, Pontiac, Buick, and Oldsmobile with many of them from the 80’s, 90’s, and early 2000 being 54 now. For the Hyundai eq the back seat has foot release like in recliner chairs that is why there is Xtra foot room in the back seat
I love my Genesis G80 and my dad loves his
I'm 39 and drive a 1999 Oldsmobile 88, get the 2004 Buick LeSabre.👍
Regarding the equus, I guess it all depends on how confident you are in repairing its air suspension at a reasonable price - clearly the insurance company was not😅!
The LeSabre is a nice car, I wouldn't turn it down for cheap money 500 is about what it's worth. Good for someone who really needs a csr.
You gotta bid on that Hyundai Equus Randy that’s such a good buy with that V8 under the hood!!💯
The rear center console also has extra controls as well!!!
I don’t remember, maybe it was Yahoo that had a story on what you found in the Durango and it was on my Google news feed. I didn’t read the entire article because they try to make you read too many pages before getting to the point.
The Buick would make a great car for someone with no money. There are more of those then when we were broke!
Get it for Nick...we like him.
Fix it
Thanks for not looking at the biohazard.
Nice looking Durango
Yeah and a nice "Hemi tick, tick, tick"....SMH...shit run for the hills on this POS.
Get that Genesis...and yes it would be a great car for Nick lol. I heard ya!
Those Buicks with the 3800 engine were great cars! Should clean up nice and bring 2500.00!
I'm not surprised about the Buick. I have read on many forums that say the 3800 series engines are pretty much bulletproof if serviced as they should be. Hyundai Equus please...lol😂
I think this year of the Buick the engine battery is under the back in the back seat in case u didn't know
The "HEMI tick" is from the manifold gasket. Once the engine warms the gasket expands and the tick stops. It is not ticking valve tappets. There is a huge difference between the two.
Put a small pair of vice grips in your bag to clamp on the hood strut rods.. Voila !! The hood stays up..
Brother you are Big time cause of this video you are on Google keep pushing blessings
Gotta say, I don’t always agree with your views, but you’re spot on with the Hemi tick. Durango's have struts to hold the hood open. They probably removed them when they installed that after market hood.
Watching from Saudi 🇸🇦 nice channel Randy first time comment here keep post the video ❤
Thanks for coming
The Buick was Lasaber, Would be a perfect car for Nick, as his first car.
That's what I was about to post; fully agree.
LeSabre someone took care, thats a nice car for low money or even a first car.
What a trooper that car was for sure.
i would drive the HELL out of that Buick. Toss a cheap aftermarket radio with android auto/ apple carplay in plafce of the stock unit and just vibe
Buy thay durango and do a cam swap and lifter replacement. I'd watch those videos for sure
I know Toyota has recalled over 100,000 new Tundra's with the twin turbo V6, but I doubt that is why this particular Tundra (17:19 behind the black Impala) is there.

You were about to say this would be a good car for Nick 🤣 you know you want that equus Randy 🤣
Get the Buick and use it for the next Power Tour!

The ultimate package on those equus have a reclining rear seat with foot rest

BOOGEY TIL YA PUKE!! Great stuff Randy !!
Buick V6 are great motor
Randy you should bring a mini Cooper to the channel perhaps like that blue and white one next to the Buick at 32:20
I like old school cars too Randy so I know what you mean keep up the go

I had a Hyundai Equis. Very powerful and reliable engine. What a sleeper car.
Oh yeah that's dodge durango looks amazing bring it two the channel
Keep up 5he good work randy
Should check the oil before starting engines cause sometimes there probably no oil on the stick
For the winnebago class c it has a egeine battery and it has a house battery with a shut off valve for the house battery's once you click that switch on the house battery's will work
Hard hit on that black Impala a lot of carnage in the yard on today’s video
My son works at dodge dealer he says brand new hemi's will tick if they sit on lot to long without being ran just because oil has had time to leak out of lifters, he says to rev them to 3k and hold them there for 20-30 seconds .....to bad it ran out of gas I bet the tick would of stopped my 2018 Laramie does it if it sits for couple weeks
I like the old Buick.
@autoauctionrebuilds Man Those LaSabre’s are great highway cruisers. They also get 30mpg’s or more out on the highway too. You can’t go wrong with the 3800 engine.

Get the Genesis
Am looking for a Grand Caravan am in Canada
Any trouble getting a repo across something I can drive home
Selling features:
"It's got a bottle of coke!"
Lmao
I'd love to see that Equus back on the road
Bring the Buick and save it. If it makes over what u pay for it in UA-cam revenue then do what u did before and gift it to someone in need. Just a thought people, don't shoot me down for it.
The Hemi tick is from an exhaust leak.
Probably when they cut the exhaust off.
The Sentra I'd drive in a heartbeat.
You don't see a ton of Code Red Sentra's, unless SE-R or Spec V.
No!!!!! I wish was that easy !
Buick lesabre is very respectable
Hey, man, I appreciate your videos. But I noticed that you hardly review mini SUV eg: Toyota Rav 4 or Chevy Trax or similar.
buy it Randy it's a nice old car better cars anyways.🥰.
I'm babying my camaro for that exact reason
