So anyone knows how auto determines what is chosen in preferred cores?
hello! i have a problem with getting into my bios, because for some reason, when i wanna boot into bios, the screen turns black and it seems the signal is intentionally blacked out.
i have an asus rog strix x670e-f gaming wifi and the green led shines (which means boot mode if i am not mistaken). it is a horror to a degree i almost regret buying my new pc, if it itself wouldn't be such a great uplift, everything is soooo smooth.
and no, there are absolutely no problems booting into windows.
I have a B650E-F + a 7950x3d and I’m stuck in the bios. Any help with that ??

good afternoon I'm considering buying the Asus ROG Strix X670E-F Gaming and on its memory full capacity, it maxes out at 128 g. But I want to buy this ddr5 Corsair Vengeance RGB 192GB (4x48GB) 5200MHz which they are at 192g? will the MB read this extra memory? Thank you for your time

So I want to know how the two systems compare! I have a 7950X/X670E Hero and both are beasts, but I've considered the 7950X3D for VR and creating content. Even if the 1% lows are improved by 15% it may be worth it for my needs.

Do you have any idea how to run 4 DDR5 sticks on x670E Hero motherboard with their full potential? I have the same motherboard with 7950x3d and 4 dominator titanium slots. The motherboard is fine and the ram is fine as well. Can run it in dual channel but PC wont boot up when we try to run it with 4 Ram sticks. Any idea on that? got Q code 15 as well. Would really appreciate your feedback on this.

No, sounds like a mounting issue or bad thermal paste, not even my 7950x3d runs 40c on idle on air
I got the 7800x3d seems fine so far temps stay around 60s while gaming 40 while idling. It’s good with the 7800xt. I should be playing 1440p but I only have 1080p monitor but it’s getting 240fps in all games I play

So did you eventually install the BIOS from the motherboard website ? And how is it ? I got the same build with the MSI x670e with 64gb and will be building around august.
@Rookblunder I waited for the update 8 months after buying the 7950x3d and the bios fried the chip with expo 1. Then 5 months later after I downgraded to the 7800x3d they put out the actual fix but I already lost a year of use and a $700 chip plus the day of work and gas to go get it.
Don't buy the 64gb of ram the board isn't stable over 32gb.
For the last few months, Ive just dealt with the slow ass boot times for a minute + and decided to update my bios last week. Still slow boots. Does anyone have a fix?

🤔They lack a power mode profile for AMD that Gigabyte is the only one that has the profile for the Ryzen 7000 3D V-Cache that uses 3D V-Cache technology, they even have it for the Ryzen 7 5800X3D that is from the previous generation.

I was worried about that as well, but my x670e with the 7950x3d mobo boots in a matter of seconds.

@@tex2995 No, expo was crashing my computer, so I left it off till I could get around to it. Is the RAM OC the reason for longer boot times then?
@@deuswulf6193 lmfao yes expo is the reason for the longer boot times. bc when i have it off my pc boots in seconds, hopefully we can get a bios update for this problem soon

'Tis an amazing chip. Thanks so much AMD. I'm overclocked just with PBO and EXPOII and 4K gameplay is beautiful at 165FPS and my system latencies and temps are super low. Having so much fun

no ...that is AM4 5800x3d 5950 5000 series B650 or x670 are your best bet ... still fighting with mine in MSFS and my older AM 4 (5950x and 6950xt)works roughly the same ... and the same issues as well, so unstable in VR it'll make you sick.... i give up as MSFS is the ONLY program i've loaded onto the new system stupid fast on EVERYTHING else LOL
7950x 3d is Fantastic gammning CPU. A must-buy CPU for gamers.

Picked up the x670e TUF, while I like more than the "essentials", I was trying to avoid the overly gamery look ROG tends to have. The other strong contender is the MSI motherboards. What ASUS should offer is simply themes, as opposed to lessened features. Tbh all motherboards should have the quick release button and a clear cmos button by default. Having to pay a $100-200 premium just for those is kind of insulting, especially when older mobos used to have them for less. I'd love to see the TUF line adopt a full shroud like NZXT mobos.
Bios flashback was a breeze.
I did notice that the ASUS boards seem to lack the RAM support found on other mobos. Enabling EXPO to get the advertised speeds simply causes BSOD. This is with the Kingston Fury Beast RAM (KF556C36BBEAK2-64).
Have you tried the new 1223 bios yet? Have you been able to enable EXPO?
I also bought the TUF x670e and 7950x3d and I am scared to load the bios
@@UltraCon79 I didn't even know they released an update, must have been around the same time I posted that. Still on 1222. Looks like we are in the same boat with the 7950x3D as well.
Doesn't look like my exact RAM kit was added to the QVL, though similar sk hynix m die kit is there.
I'm checking now to see if anyone had any issues with it. If not, I'll risk it.
@@deuswulf6193 my ram kit is the Corsair Vengeance 64GB kit 2 x 32GB CL40 at 6000hz. Basically I'm a truck driver and I put in a lot of hours. I have one chance to see if my components post before the return window closes so I'm trying to make sure I do it correctly otherwise I will have all my parts non refundable while I wait to try again.
@@UltraCon79 Those Corsairs should be the Samsung B die, which are not that great for DDR5 (bad reputation this time around). If you can return those, I would and get something with sk hynix.
The tech youtuber Jayz2cents posted a video recently about how his 7950x3D rig was having issues, and the culprit (if I remember correctly) was the corsair ram. He swapped it out for the Kingston Fury sticks.
The video in question was "My Personal Rig already DIED!" and his follow up video "Do I regret using the 7950X3D CPU in my rig? Let's talk about it!", in case you wanted to give it a watch.
Btw the Kingston Fury KF560C36BBEAK2-64 which is known to have the coveted a die . I ended up with the 5600 version, which was m die.
@@deuswulf6193 his issue was the ROG traces he swapped boards and kept the kingston over the dominator for looks.
I actually got this kit from corsair after finding out we can't use 4 sticks. They said I can try them and return it if it doesn't work.

B650 motheboards need updated bad. Supposed to support 7950x3D with 2 sticks of 5400 with no overclocking and everyone is having issues with that bard minimum including myself and "buy a more expensive board" is not an answer

i build my new PC last sunday. got them to work 4 sticks of dominator DDR5 but at 3600Mhz 🙄
you have to run them sloooooow with the latest BIOS, better to use two 32s or 64s than 4 16s or 32s less latency as well, bigger you go the slower the Cas latency

Honestly I used to think AMD was good but from my experience with my two amd pcs, Ryzen 9 7950x3d , rtx 4090, X670e hero, i’m always having issues and having to reset the pc more than 20 times now. I’m about to build another pc but INTEL BASE with RTX 4090 cos my friends on intel get better performance in gaming without driver errors/ issues. Armoury create is just another big bug on its own for amd. I’m about to reset my pc again right now and I’m OFFICIALLY done with ANYTHING AMD.
How about fixing your 1222 BIOs version, it's aboslutely trash.
Rog Strix X670E-E Gaming Wifi 6E with a 7950x3d here.
First thing I noticed was the insanely long time to get through the POST test when I turned it on. It was so slow I actually thought the memory was bad (thought it hung up) and wasted $120 getting more ram from a local Best Buy to troubleshoot. After swapping the ram and getting the same indication, I did an internet search and found on Reddit how excruciatingly slow the POST on these motherboards is. Now I know 64gb of ram is a ton of memory to test, but 10 minutes? That IS slow. 🤣
Your next video should be tips and tricks to fix the long time these boards need to boot up. No, seriously, we shouldn't have to grow a beard waiting for our computers to boot.
The good news is I now have 32gb of extra ram for my machine. Question: can I actually put the 32b of ram in alongside the 64gb of Gskill ram I already have in there, or will the two banks be too incompatible to work well?
Then I prepped the SSD on another machine I was porting from (5 year old inhell i7 that fossilized, necessitating this move to AMD). Uninstalled Nvidia and Intel drivers using DDU. then downloaded the mb and Radeon graphics drivers to install after putting the SSD into the new machine. Installed the SSD (survived the byzantine MS process to reactivate windows lol), installed the mb and graphics drivers, then ran a smoke test to see if there were any instabilities.
I found one. It's the garmin USB drivers that are incompatible with the new setup. Not your fault, I'll be bitching Garmin out about this one, and getting them to issue a revised Garmin Express app to fix the problem. Found it on who crashed logs (who crashed is a great utility for debugging new setups).
Then I flashed the BIOS using Ez-Flash. Now I think I'm set. We shall see while I run the long term smoke test to see how stabile this actually is (I don't expect problems, but am ready if they do happen).
I thought they added Memory Context Restore or something like that which reduces boot times by 50%
that MOBO HAS to re teach the memory and it will be a while then the post times will improve .... BTW make sure you don't plug a peripheral into the bios port like me you can't boot into BIOS if ya do lol !!!
