    The Chipset driver "doesn't" have to be downloaded from the Motherboard drivers (minute 08:05), if not from the AMD page that are always more up-to-date. For example, the Chipset driver available on the Asus page for the Asus Crossair X670E Hero is: AMD Chipset Driver V 5.03.24.2328, and the one that is currently on the AMD page is: 5.05.16.529
    I am buying components to assemble a good PC, and I already have a 7950X3D on my property and I want to try it soon, when I buy what I need to assemble it, what a win.
    Thank you very much for the video and greetings.

    Ok so I have the Lian Li V3000 plus. I really considering the Asus ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO ATX AM5 Motherboard. I believe it has an integrated graphics card that is built into the motherboard. Can I used any video or graphics card I choose other then the one it came with?

    Getting ready to buy the X670 Hero and the Ryzen 9 7950X or X3D wondering if the expo issues have been resolved with this board? the board 656.99 USD and the CPU 690.00 for X3D or 556.00 for the X that is up to 1200.00 USD for both and don't want to be burned by the issues.

    How is this the best possible CPU for single PC streaming if it needs to shut off half of its cores in order to properly utilize the V-Cache for gaming performance?

      Those cores are not shut off. They are parked until needed by additional applications.

    I have both of these in my current rig in conjunction with a 4090, unfortunately got a faulty board and burned itself out with the cpu. Otherwise runs like a dream. lol

    Any idea when a new bios for the 7950x3d will come out. I have the asus x670e crosshair extreme. Once I updated the bios to 0922, the pc wouldn't post. Come to find out, changing the ram profile to expo it bricks the pc, and it won't post. The ram is gskill trident z5 neo 6000hz 4x16gb. That is extremely sad. Do you have any idea when this will get resolved?

    I'm about to grab a 7950X3d and replace a 7700X. Can I continue using my Windows 10 installation and simply install chip driver or need to begin with a fresh Windows install? Thanks for your help!

      Gamer Nexus and several other YT reviewers did a review and recommended that a fresh install of windows if upgrading from a previous AMD CPU. The driver files do not delete the old drivers and that can cause an issue.
      As a rule of thumb always wipe out old Operating system on an upgrade and install new installation. Also before new chip install update the bios to the latest and most stable. Also as the man in the video recommends is to DL all the newest drivers from the manufacture website. I personally put all the drivers on a USB drive with nothing else on it. Same with the bios. USB drive are so cheap now that having a couple for that purpose recommended.

    Just got my 1st ASUS ROG MOBO and this CPU. Excited to get it running. I felt like I was missing out on features with MSI recently so I'm switching.

    So it's not possible to run the game on the chiplet with 3D V cache and at the same time run OBS on the second chiplet?

    • @Polyh3dron
      @Polyh3dron Рік тому

      It’s possible, but from what I understand there would be a significant performance hit to anything happening on the first CCD, since this whole elaborate software setup exists specifically to park all of its cores whenever a game is running for it to achieve the great gaming numbers it achieves.

      Sounds like there’s still some teething issues with prioritization. Intel had to deal with this too when they first went p/e cores

    Not touching ASUS until Armory Crate malware gets nuked from orbit thank you very much. I bought the more expensive Gigabyte board.
