I Went To Korea For Skin Treatments | Laser, Acne Scars, Botox and Fillers | Before and Afters!

  • I flew all the way to Korea to treat my acne scars and loose skin. After consulting with a doctor, I decided to try Ultherapy, Morpheus 8, Korean Botox and Korean Filler.
Exposing my skin hang-ups on UA-cam has been difficult, but it’s worth it if this vlog can help others.

So why did I bother going all the way to South Korea for skin treatments?
Well, South Korea is the global leader when it comes to skincare due to the extreme importance Koreans place on beauty as a society. As a result, Korean doctors and nurses are highly trained in the latest skin care techniques, and they use state-of-the-art equipment. The selection and innovation of treatments available in Korea are out of this world, and because of the competitive nature of the Korean beauty industry, the costs of treatments are significantly lower than other countries. So naturally Korea is starting to become the number one destination for medical tourism.
But there are over 10,000 cosmetic clinics in South Korea, so choosing which clinic was the right fit for me, was understandably overwhelming.
I cancelled out the TikTok famous clinics like PPEUM, Muse and Lienjang simply because they are so popular with foreigners that their treatments have been rumoured to be rushed, and impersonal and run a bit like a factory.
After listening to my skin concerns, I then contacted a company called Souel Guide Medical which approached clinics on my behalf. in turn, several clinics replied with quotes. This is a brilliant service for those wanting a bit more hand-holding, but I felt like I wanted to go to a clinic that was more popular with the locals.
I contacted 30 or so clinics, and the stand out was WOOA Plastic Surgery and Dermatology. They were responsive, friendly, professional and very accommodating. They were also upfront about prices and treatment options.

Thank you very much for your very helpful video, for sharing your experience and also for telling a price (which a lot of UA-camrs unfortunately do not do - but money is an important topic as not everybody of us has millions on their bank accounts).

Thanks for your video~ very helpful from foreinger's view towards Korean skin treatment. Im Korean-Australian and all these skincare treatment is quite normal for korean women and currently im having pigmentation treatment in Seoul as well. However I was quite surprised that the price you have paid ..ㅠㅠ I guess that's a bit high just for single treatment. If you want to know better idea about clinics and price plz let me know.. I can share some info~

This is SOOO helpful! ❤️ I’m glad to have stumbled upon this vlog before my trip, which is in 2 weeks. I was in fact contemplating doing Ulthera, Pico-laser and also other whitening treatments (no needles though! 😅)but not sure if I can take the pain. 😣🥴 So my question is, would you suggest that I visit the clinic on the second last day (as I’ll be leaving in the afternoon next day), just in case I develop some discomfort, soreness or even bruises which will not be ideal when I do my sightseeing and photo-taking during the trip?

I'm really happy you found it helpful! You shouldn't experience any bruising if you're not having any injections, but you will be swollen and a little red, though my redness went down really fast. I felt completely comfortable to go out in public the next day, but I didn't want to put make-up on because I was worried about putting it on super fresh skin. I definitely think getting treated a day (probably 2 days) before you leave is a good idea, just incase you have any type of flare up or reaction - which is rare btw. Don't worry about the pain, on reflection it wasn't all that bad with Ulthera. The needles was where the pain was at! And the results are totally worth it! I hope you have a great time in Korea :)

Hi Amie, I’m planning to go to Korea in 2 weeks and I’m interested in doing some face treatments, I’m also 37 years. I would appreciate any guidance on how to find a good clinic ❤

I don't have a breakdown of the prices sorry, but if you WhatsApp the clinic, they will be able to supply you with prices.

I went to Muse for Botox and paid 30€ for 2 zones 😅 But it was like a factory and it was Inntox, so not FDA approved. But everything went well, I really liked the results

Yes Muse is fairly busy - but I'm glad your results were good. It's about 2 months after my treatment, and so far my skin is looking much better but I feel like the botox has worn off already!

For reference point may I ask your age? I’m turning 37 in February and considering some of these treatments.
