the prices aren't compelling. it's weird they keep the cash and carry model in the UK when supermaret efficiencies have removed the price advantage.

You lost me at the corny, pointless, forever-taking music. If you live near a Costco and have space to store months worth of paper products or detergent, a membership might be worth it. They do have a fine meat selection at good prices, but I live alone, and the gas it would take me to drive all the way there would cancel out any savings.
