I think that’s the problem with UA-cam today. Before COVID, I noticed the channels that I used to watch had variety and encouraged it. Now, some audiences just want you to play the same game over and over again.
The thing that made backyard baseball so great was that you were the best player I’ve ever seen on UA-cam. Never seen anyone hit and narrate as good as you could.
While i really enjoy the content you have here, I totally understand where you are coming from and respect it. I hope you find a way to produce content in a way that fuels you up again. Whatever is next for you keep us posted.
As a small UA-camr myself I totally feel the pressure of videos or series performing well. It is the difficult part of making content within a niche. When I started my channel I made sure to set the expectation that I can play a variety of games. Some videos have like 2 views and some have a few hundred but because I’m not big enough to be monetized it isn’t that big a hit if something performs poorly. The UA-cam algorithm has also been the bane of my channel growth at times which is definitely frustrating. Watching you play backyard baseball inspired me to download the game and eventually make a series out of my very first season playing the game. I’m just waiting to get a new headset since mine is broken. I’ve appreciate the entertainment and I will continue the backyard baseball legacy in your absence. Godspeed my friend.
