I had to sub. Thanks for the amazing video. Can you please let me me know where you got these mods, what mods you recommend as mandatory and what VR headset and system you are using for this experience. I have a beast of a gaming PC. Thanks for your time.
Since watching.. I have a 5950x with a 2080ti build in play... 32gb ddr4 3600 ram... Rift S... Perhaps overpowered on the CPU and underpowered on the GPU? But hopefully i'll be able to hang with this experience... I got many hrs in PSVR skyrim, but it was an awful experience compared to what is shown and now possible with proper controls and power behind it. Nice work lol.

Totally agree that Skyrim is the best. Why? Just like every Bethesda game: mod authors. Other companies should take note. Share the tools and get out of the way.
exactly, even if developers were perfect and heared the community they woudn't be able to attend all demand, its better to leave the work to the modders
@@stephenriggs8177 Exactly - They make games with worlds that feel lived in enough to be worth adding to, with good enough lore to give you ideas. The flaws are only worth fixing because the core is good, otherwise what's the point? Why polish a turd?
A lot of people still don't understand that Skyrim VR, needs to be modded. Even many famous VR channels fail to emphasize this; it's crazy! Most native VR games feel vastly incomplete by comparison to what a well modded Skyrim VR, offers:)
I totally agree! I don't know why Bethesda or Zenimax hasn't noted all the work the modding community has put in and either hire some of those who created the mods or adopted the work in their own games. Like why not make a VR MMORPG? or make a VR Version of Elderscrolls Online?
@@dominickisidore5180 I think there's a really easy answer to that. Wearing a chunky box strapped to your face for hours at a time, hundreds or thousands of hours is not a great experience for most people. And I don't think the number of players with headsets willing to play the game would justify the creation of it.
Skyrim is my go to VR game. Because VR is so powerful. The shift in perspective is so complete that it's difficult to believe even when you are experiencing it at first. The night sky in Skyrim is so beautiful.
This is a powerful testimonial, makes me want to impulse buy a VR headset! I just can't justify the purchase of a VR headset until there are more games as good as Skyrim VR I have enough disposable income for a VR headset, but it's literally not worth it yet in my opinion. I think I will purchase next-gen Valve or HTC VR or Sony's PSVR2 if it works on PC. On my buddy's Oculus, I played Beatsaber, Superhot, Blade & Sorcery, and Gorn. They were fun for about 10 minutes. Flight Simulator is a great experience, but not my idea of fun. For me the only VR games worth playing are Skyrim VR and Fallout 4 VR and they require a lot of mods and configuration to enjoy properly. VR is still in its infancy, glorified gimmick, but Skyrim VR gives a taste of the future
@@EhurtAfy Yeh It's crazy that a ten year old game is better than anything else. But then that's because people have been building mods for it for ten years. There's heaps of other great things to play though. Fallout is alright but I got tired of how ugly everything is after a while. VR would have to become more popular than flat screen gaming for there to be more games like Skyrim, way more popular considering how many people have put so much work into Skyrim. There's nothing else like it in flat screen gaming either. But there are people making mods that convert a lot of flat screen favorites to VR games. I want to tell you not to wait. That you'll kick yourself for it. But I'm not a fan of any of the headsets out now. Lot of good technology compromised? The PSVR2 means dealing with Sony. I did not like being captive to their platform. Be nice to see HTC produce something good again. They have made a lot of missteps. But we'll see?
@@glenrisk5234 So I went ahead and ordered a Valve Index, apparently the base station equipment is likely to be compatible with future Valve headsets. Easy to upgrade and I like the ease-of-use with Steam. I could be waiting years for new headsets if I didn't decide soon. RTX 3090 + Valve Index should be a good experience 🤣
@@EhurtAfy I'd recommend quest pro for the lenses. Because it's pancake and the optics are really good. No warping on the outer edges and the sweet spot is basically the whole lens. Pair that with a 4090 and Skyrim might as well be a real world. You haven't seen next gen until you install 8k/12K textures in Skyrim and feel the world become real.
Yeah, its pretty much impossible to describe the difference between a 2D screen and stepping into VR. It has to be experienced, its crazy that you can sometimes feel things cause it is tricking your brain into thinking that you are there.
@@PredCaliber I've always wanted to try it, but I get motion sickness pretty easily, and I'm afraid it would happen quickly with VR. I also get a "sketchy"/untrustworthy feeling from the companies that release VR headsets (especially Facebook).
@@guruthosamarthruin4459 There is a teleportation function as well where you can “teleport” a couple of meters every time which is the most comfortable method of playing for people who experience VR nausea. :) also The Oculus Quest 2 doesn’t require a META/Facebook account anymore.
i always emphasize the change in SCALE to people who haven't played VR and Skyrim is one of the stand-out examples of that. My mind was blown the first time just doing the character creation and being able to walk around the created avatar. blown away by the presence of an NPC standing next to me at scale. And this was all with vanilla Skyrim VR. Can't wait to try it with all of the new mods.
There is nothing closer to having a holodeck than stepping into Skyrim VR, the towns, the politics, the quest, there is so much there compared to a dungeon crawler. Also, the immersion, everything from fighting dragons to creeping through caves and tunnels. One of my best moments was walking in the woods and hearing a wolf growl behind me, and physically turning in time to draw my bow and shoot it in midair as it was attacking me. No flat screen experience will ever feel that real and you will never feel the thrill of beginning in a world that is alive around you. The modders have done amazing work, it is a shame that Bethesda doesn't contract some of them out, to make an official modded release for consumers. There are a lot of people who will never experience it because they are afraid or do not know how to add mods.
Just coming out of the cave by the first set of stones with the lake to the left, and the night sky with aurora overhead reflecting on the lake. That is still my biggest WOW moment in VR. I often just sit around in this game in scenic environments to relax.
@@joshuamiller8235 Joshua, I also remember the first time I saw there was more than one moon, "I was like, wow I am not in Kansas anymore," it made me really feel like I was in another world. I also just sat staring up for the next 5 to 10 minutes.
You're right, VR is not just a gimmick, it really is a new type of human experience. On par with swimming underwater, flying, driving, drugs, space travel, etc. I used to think VR was just another fun peripheral like motion controllers or camera sensors, but it really does so much more. It is the most intuitive way to interact with three-dimensianal environments and media. I often feel like, "this the way games were meant to be played."
3:44 “Anything you can imagine to do in the real world with NPCs (or with… people I should say….)” 😂😂😂 Just waiting for the first criminal defence: “Your Honour, I thought I was in VR and they were NPCs!”
Totally agree. Kind of breaks the immersion just being able to grab anyone and play with them like a compliant ragdoll. Not that plenty of players wouldn't prefer it that way 😅
@@EarlyMist Yeah, kinda hard to keep belief suspended when you get the entire town against you for accidentally stealing a plate but are able to just yank women npcs around like nothing matters
first time i've seen an example that didn't include partial hands and crappy graphics, now this looks amazing just like you were there. BTW he seems in love with the one female would have been nice to see a dungeon and a monster or two for example. then again she had ah nice big firm eyes so i can't blame him.
I have like 200+ mods installed which doesn't impact performance. I am still looking for more mods to improve immersion. Skyrim VR should be modded 100% by everyone.
@@greyghost1379 Probably the ENB, one thing ENBs do is make things shiny in the rain (a bit too much for my taste, but you can change that yourself) and also the texture mods themself can make a big difference
There is one thing still missing. The most important thing that skyrim needs, to have really everything we always want it to have: a coop multiplayer. That would be a dream come true
I firmly believe that VR / AR will be the future of most kinds of media consumption, at least for individuals or smaller groups, but it isn't going to reach that point until it's basically plug-and-play, it's a lot more comfortable and intuitive, and the cost of entry comes way down. IOW, everybody I've personally introduced to or have been a part of their introduction to VR has been blown away and wanted that experience, but even for me if I take a break it's almost like I have to back up several steps to figure out the current state of things, re-set settings I've forgotten, etc. It's a commitment in time and energy that most people aren't going to take on, and most probably just don't have the tech savvy for. It's why Meta is pushing their experience in the direction they are. When getting into and running a top-tier VR experience is even close to as easy and intuitive as running a top-tier pancake experience, you're going to see VR explode. Until then it's just too big of a hurdle for true wide-spread adoption.
As someone who's owned an Index for a year and a half, there are some days where I want to put a headset on and be immersed in a world like I'm there, and there are some days where I want to sit my butt in a chair and play something on my monitor or TV. I can't see into the future or know what my opinion will be in ten years, but I also don't see myself ever hitting a point where I never want to be lazy and physically relax playing a video game, even if it truly becomes plug-and-play.
@@lanceolson5988 **unless we get to a point where VR is so comfortable and light you can just wear it all day and utilize AR monitors to play the 2D games via AR.
Well I have 60+ hours or so now in my modlist :) play it almost every day if time and weather allows it! (Summer heat at the moment is really preventing me to play it hours. Else I can literally play Skyrim VR for hours. )
I share the same concern with stability. I used packs of supposedly vetted mods and my game always became unstable with crashing and save corruption. It was frustrating to keep having to restart or rollback saves in an effort to avoid whatever corrupted the game saves and started all of the crashing. The engine is pretty old now and it would be awesome to see a refreshed version.
The major things I disliked about Skyrim VR is the wonky furniture sizes and oversized food and stuff. Also, the game engine's graphics, even modded, felt like I was in the old 32 bit SLE world. Things like TAA/SMAA, Ambient Occlusion, was so low res looking it made my eyes hurt. VR is definitely one of those things that you need a great amount of visual fidelity and clarity, if not, you could be motion sick all day even when you've already got your VR legs trained and do fine in other titles.
I have a quest and also now a pico neo link 3, the advantage of the pico is it uses a display port connection for PCVR instead of usb/wifi/video compression so it's a full pcvr experience without compromise also comes with effectively an elite strap and the battery is at the back for balance, if your in to PC gaming I'd recommend it over a Q2
The graphics- especially with the mode community working on it- is perfect. The next step is improving the AI so that the worlds become more complex and the character interactions are more realistic.
The only thing whats missing is a smoothing of the movements, the stuttering of all movements drives me crazy, in longterm, its a nogo for me. If that could be implemented that would be awesome.
I never got it to work, but I saw that there was a mod that utilizes your microphone so you can speak to NPCs (within the bounds of your dialogue options of course). I think it’s called Dragon Speak or something? There are so many immersive mods out there, thank you for your sharing the highlights in your vid and your mod list.
The only reason I'm interested in getting a VR Headset is for this game. Just the thought of standing on a mountain and looking out towards the horizon is enough for me to start saving up. I remember I tried out VR about 2 or 3 times at various events and even with my big ass glasses the experience stuck with me. Just having that depth is something that people don't understand till they experience it. And that was with some demo games lol. So a full game would be something else.
I hid behind the buster sword ( mod ) when that bleak falls barrow spider was lunging at me. I had configured the block settings so that raising the hilt by chest height would put me in a block state. With a car door for a sword in front me as a shield, I was able to survive with enough hp. Enough to jump in the air 10 feet high by raising my headset quickly ( mod ) and crashed said car door sword into the spider. just one of many combat encounters in SkyrimVR. There's enough resources to play as any mythical character you can imagine.
That’s awesome! :) and respect for you deciding to go in melee in Bleaks falls Barrow with that huge spider! Since it’s one of the first big encounters , it Must have been insanely intense going into melee with it haha!
Hey Pred! You should check out an female NPC overhaul called Dibella's Blessing, I use both bijin and Dibella's Blessing together and use EasyNPC to select the ones I like from each mod, it is truly amazing.
I still play PSVR Skyrim on PS4 Pro (uploaded a tour of my Manor recently), might be stock game and very basic graphic but its 60fps and razor sharp edges for PSVR that is impressive. Graphics aside from that the immersion is where it still shines.
I played Skyrim for the first ever time yesterday in VR. It’s on sale rn till the 30th for $15 btw. I was doing the first quest, admiring everything in the game. Gorgeous. Then I got to the rats. Never have I ever swung so wildly at a small critter that JUMPED at me. The spider? Scary, but I killed it off fast. Even dead it creeped me out. The scale of the game is INCREDIBLE. Now, what scared me the most and made me have a breather was the swinging trap. Slayed all the Draugr, went peacefully walking, THEN WHAM! Pressure plate pressed! I had to sit down 😂. The inscriptions that glows? Pulled me in. It was beautiful. Thankfully I had a companion from a mod with me, cause I was stuck on the puzzle door and it creeped me out. Idk why. The lore and wall engravings made me curious, but scared. Never knew you could view the items for puzzles. After I got finished with the first quest I decided “Alright, I’m gonna take a break” took off my headset, thought I played for an hour. I PLAYED FOR A WHOLE 3 HOURS! I was skeptical with Skyrim VR cause idk what I was getting into. Reason I got it was because I enjoyed StarField, but I never played any other Bethesda game. Then I watched the Fallout series. God I love it. Made me want to play Fallout. Decided “What better way to play than VR?” Heard Fallout VR is troublesome, but still fun with mods, but Skyrim? So many praises. Skyrim has been following my life for years. My cousin and brother loves it. I just never got into it as a kid, also surprisingly never heard of anything plot wise, but heard so many great things. So I’m blank, but I do love medieval stuff, but I’m more of a outlaw cowboy type of guy. So I was skeptical if I should keep the game or not. After that first quest and the journey back, 100% keeping the game. LORDY when people say it’s one of the most immersive games. IT IS! With mods of course, WHICH IS ALSO AMAZING TO BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD MODS FOR FLATSCREEN SKYRIM TO VR SKYRIM! No remaking it for VR! Even when I was just looking for an area in the town to sleep the night (couldn’t find it) I was sucked in. This video describes things amazingly, even at its surface. What an amazing game, and tbh I don’t think I’ll ever play it flatscreen now. Never had, possibly never will (unless I crave it and can’t access VR)
Your recommendations for the graphics card sort of set such a high requirement which isn't all that necessary. I am about to upgrade my pc but currently I have a RX580 and it runs skyrim vr just fine! The biggest downside is that the start up time takes like 5 mins or sometimes more then again I only have 16gb of ram.
I have to make a little bit of a nuance that mostly Scenery ENB causes the big drop. Did you run other mods for Skyrim VR? Sure a vanilla Skyrim VR runs pretty well on all PC's I guess. :) But with that I would seriously recommend at least to use VRIK, HIGGS, PLANCK, and some NPC overhauls!
This makes me really feel like....I can't wait for ES6 and a few years after it comes out. New VR tech in like 6-7 years from now with all the new graphics power we'll have... Super excited.
This is a great video! I loved skyrim back in the day when i played it on xbox, these days i have a VR headset and decently powerful PC, you've convinced me to try this out with all the mods. Thank you! :)
I just want a mod that replaces the hud with immersive hints for example being able to tell your health status by the amount of red and blood on the screen particularly the edges Instead of bars. Probably darkness for stamina and desaturation for magika, and for the compass pulling out an actual compass from your belt and looking at it same with a map and journal. Also wish there was a mod that adds on from the grabbing and pushing the npc mod that'd make them more alive. So they might resist or even aggro based off a reputation system but certain things would basically be off limits to everyone regardless so like slapping a book in someone's face or throwing an apple at someone would make them wanna fight you
I have never played in VR but Skyrim would surely be the one to make me get into it. I'd love to hear your recommendations on the hardware that is avaialble and good choices to buy. Plus how to set up a gaming environment - are you sitting, standing, moving around? How much space do you need? Is there a HDMI cable connecting you to the PC or is it completely wireless? Perhaps you could consider a new video along these lines?
Just get a quest 2 and get walking dead saints and sinners and resident evil 4. If you never played VR then those games will blow you mind. It will be like rediscovering gaming all over again.
Quest 2 if you don't have a powerful PC and want more freedom. If you'd like something more high-end, Valve Index is still your best choice, but you'd need a powerful PC. I personally use Valve Index. My rig is: GPU - GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6 GAMING OC CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core 3.7GHz AM4 Motherboard - ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING RAM - G.SKILL Aegis 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL 16 SSD - ADATA XPG GAMMIX S11 Pro 1TB 3500/3000MB/s Power Supply - Corsair CV650 80 PLUS Bronze 650W It's 2 years old and it runs everything I throw at it. On both you can play either seated or standing (Playspace walking/movement is also an option for most games, but only a few utilize it for real). The configuration for both (Quest 2 and Valve Index) is extremely easy and if you get stuck, there are many online tutorials that can help get everything up and running. For Skyrim VR, Valve Index is what you'd want to get. Have in mind that the base VR port of the game is hard to control (the button mapping is awful), the graphics are dated and the tutorial aria is useless. If you want to play Skyrim VR, you better spend day or two scrolling nexus mods. For the controls, there are many prebuild configs that you can use and it's up to you to choose what suits you best. If you choose to get into VR, I would recommend you start with the following games (Vavle Index point of view): 1. Beat Saber 2. Superhot VR 3. The lab (Valve's project) 4. Google Earth VR (it was impressive to me) 5. Accounting 6. Job simulator You can also try some of the google's spotlight stories (those are short animations). * The above mentioned are in no particular order and can be enjoyed at your own pace. If you want to fix the motion sickness, my fix was to beat Boneworks. I played Boneworks for about a week and at first you are more than likely to feel sick with the continues movement. It's best if you play the game for one, two hours and take a break. Your hands would feel small in your peripheral vision after you take off your headset :D After Boneworks, I no more have any issues with continues movement and that pays off when you play Skyrim, Half Life, Blade and Sorcery or any other game that supports continues movement. And at the end, I would like to be completely honest with you when I say: Those word's might be a bit harsh to someone that want's to get into VR, but It's what I would have liked to hear beforehand. VR is a bit overrated at the moment as most games are more like tech demos. Fun but short, expensive and not that deep. Have in mind that most UA-cam VR channels make everything look fun and exciting, but in reality it's not that special. There are some cool places here and there, but most of the time it's nothing that you haven't seen before in other flat screen games. Best advice is to measure your expectations, learn to roleplay and enjoy the experience. Have fun!
@@no7r3k That's a brilliant answer, thank you. I have very similar specs to yours but only got the upgraded GPU and CPU in the last week so looking at what more I can use the PC for :)
@@donkeysunited Valve index is old at this point, with a bad LCD display, low resolution, and it's pretty heavy. Yet the whole system is one of the most expensive. I'd recommend the HP Reverb G2. It has significantly better visuals - way higher resolution, better colours and contrast, black levels. The headset is much lighter and more comfortable, and it uses the same great audio as the Valve index. It also doesn't require any base stations to set up for the controllers, as it uses inside out tracking like the Quest 2. If you really want the index controllers, you can also use them with the G2 with a very easy set up, too. Though that will require the base stations of course. It costs 300 less than the index as well. So I'd highly recommend this headset.
@@zackmac5917 Thanks for that. I also read that the Index is not a good choice for people who wear glasses (like me) as you can't bring the screen near to the eyes, which is supposed to be one of the biggest selling points of the Index.
For me, it's the closest to feeling like you're in sao with a rich world and creatures. I hadn't played vr in a long time. But seeing alduin fly across the sky as big as he is never gets old. My jaw drops. Upgraded from a rift cv1 to quest 2.
I own just about every psvr game and there are 2 games I always go back too.Skyrim and Borderlands 2.I would love to play Skyrim on A PC but this will do for now.

@@germinarih I do have the Quest 2 a few weeks now and it's really impressive what it can do with it's technical limitations, I really like this system. But it's never gonna run Skyrim VR, not to mention with these mods, without an incredibly expensive high-end PC.
@@XiaoYuanHao it doesnt have to be extremely high end apart from the gpu, and even that you can manage with lets say an rtx 3060 depending on the mods you use

I played this on my Oculus Rift S with a 1080ti a couple of years ago. I liked it. I have a Varjo Aero now and a 4090. I think I'll try a new run through. Great video.
I love modded Skyrim a lot, will have to try vr again if I ever get a headset upgrade , it’s rough on a vive, you can really see the screen door effect on this game sadly
Yes the older headsets really have the low res / screendoor effect. The Oculus Rift S for me personally was already really good and didn’t saw any real pixels anymore. It’s also relatively easy to drive since it’s resolution it’s a bit lower than a quest 2.
how much fps do you get on the outside areas? are you using ASW or not? are you using any supersampling(oculus app, steam render resolution, skyrim vr performance settings)? Loved your mod list, I am going to buy an 3080 to run it myself, but just wanna check this details first, thanks for the content
Ultimate Graphics Mod Pack is awesome nice graphics, you should take Ultimate Graphics Mod Pack and make it VR ... :) Not tried the VR Skyrim AE yet so have you got a VR setup wabbajack yet, if not which would you recommend for VR that comes with what is in video. May have to give it a shot, You have a VR one setup on wabbajack because your Ultimate Graphics Mod Pack is awesome my friend.
I can't wait to play skyrim vr again.. I stopped because I didn't like the Oculus quest 1s resolution, it kept breaking my immersion but when the PSVR2 comes out, I'm definitely buying one, it's gonna be the best VR headset!
I’m planning on getting a PSVR2 aswell. Do you think there will be PC support? I see no reason why Sony wouldn’t do that, it will get them much more sales especially with PS5s being so hard to get apparently. And files from Spider-Man Remastered on PC suggest a PC launcher with cross buy and PSN linking, I think they could just use that software for connecting the PSVR2 to the PC and maybe if they still want people to buy a PS5 they could just make it so you cannot use it on PC if you don’t have a PS5 or haven’t set up the headset on the PS5.
@@Llamu Currently there is no PSVR2 Support for PC Which is a shame but it might change in the future so until then I might get the new PICO 4, as it has the new pancake lenses, and a higher resolution 2160 x 2160 pixels per eye than the PSVR2, lower refresh rate of 90hz but I only really want it for Skyrim VR. First though saving up for the Steam deck. Then I'll get the PICO 4 :)
Ideally, you want your senses satisfied. The most important one is touch: irl, if you can't see anything, smell anything, hear anything, taste anything, but you can physically feel your environment (pain, heat/cold, texture, softness/hardness), it still grounds you into reality.
Thanks for the mod preview. I already own the non-VR versions for a few different platforms, but have been waiting for the VR version to go on sale. Today it did (through GreenManGaming), so I picked it up, finally. I imagine I'll be spending this weekend installing all the mods. lol
Honestly, I can't play Skyrim flat anymore. After playing in VR, and seeing how BIG the world really looks from inside, it looks like a joke on a flat screen now. I had a follower bump me off a cliff, about pooped myself. 10/10 The VR mods are so good, the full VR body is a MUST. It's really sad we have to use mods to get in game bodies in so many VR games. For me, that also helps fight VR sickness. I can now play Skyrim VR with sliding movement for hours without getting sick. Very few things feel as a good as being an archer in Skyrim VR. I'm so hooked on sneaking around sniping things.
@@DerekMoore82 I have both, but for me personally the quest 2 with link cable and a Kiwi pro head strap over the Rift S. The original headband of the quest 2 sucks, but with this pro headstrap the device Feels premium, easy to lift the headset to check things, and a knob to adjust the headset is very good. Also Quest 2 battery life is fantastic, very good visuals, and just a single usb-c cable that always works perfectly fine. Can’t really say the same about the rift S. For the rest the rift S is fine still, and also easier to render things. Keep in mind the quest 2 also provides you with stand alone VR and has fully wireless options, where the rift S is PC VR only and requires a Display port and USB3

instead of observing the gameworld on a PC monitor, it puts you right inside the game. It's such a difference and a game-changer. for people who have never experienced it you just can't explain it. I had a friend over and he was like VR is just a Gimmick. then I asked him to pop my headset on and 5 hours later he was still in VR. after that he went straight home and ordered a Valve index too

I just can't justify the purchase of a VR headset until there are more games as good as Skyrim VR
I have enough disposable income for a VR headset, but it's literally not worth it yet in my opinion.

Absolutely! Especially NPC's who are walking in your field of view all of a sudden.
@@PredCaliber I've always wanted to try it, but I get motion sickness pretty easily, and I'm afraid it would happen quickly with VR. I also get a "sketchy"/untrustworthy feeling from the companies that release VR headsets (especially Facebook).

Ahah it's true that NPCs don't really have a concept of personnal space. Not a problem on a 2D screen, but surprisingly uncomfortable in VR.
"Tempting every time you are with an NPC to grab her.... *pause* ... and look into her eyes."

You're right, VR is not just a gimmick, it really is a new type of human experience. On par with swimming underwater, flying, driving, drugs, space travel, etc. I used to think VR was just another fun peripheral like motion controllers or camera sensors, but it really does so much more. There is one thing still missing. The most important thing that skyrim needs, to have really everything we always want it to have: a coop multiplayer. That would be a dream come true
It exists, called Skyrim together iirc
This is sick. I honestly didnt think this would happen so early in VR development.
I dread to think the kinds of things that get done to female NPCs in SkyrimVR
PSVR 2 will make that happen. It's going to be so good and just plug and play. Even has automatic IPD detection and adjustment.

Skyrim vr is truly the best vr experience out rn. Play it more than any other game. Simply amazing
Absolutely!! Love it every day still!
@5:37 I predict a NPC physical abuse court case in the near future. 😂
Absolutely, it’s called Dragonborn speaks naturally. It’s a very cool addition!
There is truly no other experience like it in VR currently
I have to agree, I started Skyrim VR a couple years ago and I can never go back to regular Skyrim, the experience is something you can't go back from.
So a full game would be something else.
you can buy subscription lenses for your VR headset :)
00:46 Look at the size of those peaks!!! Those mountains are huge too.

I still play PSVR Skyrim on PS4 Pro (uploaded a tour of my Manor recently), might be stock game and very basic graphic but its 60fps and razor sharp edges for PSVR that is impressive. Graphics aside from that the immersion is where it still shines.
TES VI better be native VR and even more moddable

Exactly.
Tbh, the wait for ES6 is worthwhile for this reason. It means the VR experience for it is going to be insane.
This is a great video! I loved skyrim back in the day when i played it on xbox, these days i have a VR headset and decently powerful PC, you've convinced me to try this out with all the mods. Thank you! :)
These are great textures, really impressive. Skyrims original textures were so low quality, even for 2011.
Hope this catches on and becomes main stream.
You know, I never had an interest in playing this in VR until you said the word "mods..."
My rig is:
GPU - GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6 GAMING OC
CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core 3.7GHz AM4
Motherboard - ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING
RAM - G.SKILL Aegis 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL 16
SSD - ADATA XPG GAMMIX S11 Pro 1TB 3500/3000MB/s
Power Supply - Corsair CV650 80 PLUS Bronze 650W
It's 2 years old and it runs everything I throw at it.
If you choose to get into VR, I would recommend you start with the following games (Vavle Index point of view):
1. Beat Saber
2. Superhot VR
3. The lab (Valve's project)
4. Google Earth VR (it was impressive to me)
5. Accounting
6. Job simulator
You can also try some of the google's spotlight stories (those are short animations).
Your hands would feel small in your peripheral vision after you take off your headset :D
After Boneworks, I no more have any issues with continues movement and that pays off when you play Skyrim, Half Life, Blade and Sorcery or any other game that supports continues movement.
And at the end, I would like to be completely honest with you when I say:
Those word's might be a bit harsh to someone that want's to get into VR, but It's what I would have liked to hear beforehand.

Wanted to see some sword combat. Can you just straight punch the npcs?
You are 100 percent right people have no idea how good this and VR in general really is.
Imagine a dragon landing and you grab on it as it takes off and lift off with it fighting in the air
how much fps do you get on the outside areas? are you using ASW or not? are you using any supersampling(oculus app, steam render resolution, skyrim vr performance settings)? Loved your mod list, I am going to buy an 3080 to run it myself, but just wanna check this details first, thanks for the content
Boy, that Skyrim footage sure is creepy
Ultimate Graphics Mod Pack is awesome nice graphics, you should take Ultimate Graphics Mod Pack and make it VR ... :) Not tried the VR Skyrim AE yet so have you got a VR setup wabbajack yet, if not which would you recommend for VR that comes with what is in video. May have to give it a shot, You have a VR one setup on wabbajack because your Ultimate Graphics Mod Pack is awesome my friend.
Thanks a a lot! The link in the video description is actually the VR edition! :) (still beta however)
@@PredCaliber ok thanks will have to give it a try and see how it goes. thanks again for your work on modding skyrim all these years. peace my friend.
If VR continues this path, The Matrix is going to be possible, and I can’t wait.
Ideally, you want your senses satisfied. The most important one is touch: irl, if you can't see anything, smell anything, hear anything, taste anything, but you can physically feel your environment (pain, heat/cold, texture, softness/hardness), it still grounds you into reality.
Well the best vr ever is the life we live now, perfect graphics, you feel everything and when you die you will be reborn..
@@harpapmac you seem to miss the point of vr ay
Your obsession with Serana is epic.
1 Minute in, starts grabbing dolled up, dead eyed npc women. That's skyrim modding allright😂
Thanks for the mod preview. I already own the non-VR versions for a few different platforms, but have been waiting for the VR version to go on sale. Today it did (through GreenManGaming), so I picked it up, finally. I imagine I'll be spending this weekend installing all the mods. lol
Planck is a bit creepy lmao
Honestly, I can't play Skyrim flat anymore. After playing in VR, and seeing how BIG the world really looks from inside, it looks like a joke on a flat screen now. I had a follower bump me off a cliff, about pooped myself. 10/10
The VR mods are so good, the full VR body is a MUST.
Which VR Headset do you use?
From the thumbnail it looks like the HTC Vive 👍🏼
Quest 2 :). The thumbnail is actually a stock picture haha
@@PredCaliber How does Quest 2 compare to Rift S? Which one is superior?
I've started my journey lol. 3070 obtained after months of being unsure, next up is the CPU and then finally, the Quest 2. I cannot wait.
Awesome, you are going to love it! :) Please spend 30-50$ for the KIWI elite strap, it makes all the world of difference!
@@PredCaliber An aftermarket strap replacement for the Quest 2? Never even considered it but I will take your word and pick it up lol, thanks.
@@RoxiieReadsLore Well I read mixed stories about the official pro band, and only good things about the Kiwi haha, so that’s why I went with the Kiwi. :) but love it very much!
@@PredCaliber I decided to wait for the Quest 3. Glad I did. Will finally be able to experience this here in the coming weeks.
Resident evil 4 is the best vr experience i have ever had. It is crazy intuitive with the controls and the game is super smooth. This is the experience we need more of.
Good to hear, will check out Resident Evil 4 VR, but I can imagine it must be very intense playing it in VR? :x

LOL! Its almost as if Vex has a SOUL HA HA HA HAHAHA!
Will this work on XBOX?
I've dreamt for so long to hear my dremora lord say "I smell weakness" in vr
instead of observing the gameworld on a PC monitor, it puts you right inside the game. It's such a difference and a game-changer. for people who have never experienced it you just can't explain it. I had a friend over and he was like VR is just a Gimmick. then I asked him to pop my headset on and 5 hours later he was still in VR. after that he went straight home and ordered a Valve index too
love stories like this
yes just my cousin playing on my headset once caused him to buy one too
Looking forward to your future VR Mod updates! ✨💖✨
We just need real life voice conversations with the npc's
Extremely good content. I destroyed that game so much for 11 years on PC and also on Xbox. Now it's 2023, there's VR and I'm having that setup with a supper good PC and a Quest 2. Let's destroy it again. You gave me that feeling "hey it's Skyrim as you wanted to see it back in the time... being inside it.". Thank you so much for that.
Amazing to hear! Have fun with it :)
"Best VR experience you could ever have..." 5 Mins. from now "hold my beer".
I can FINALLY get a VR headset now.
I've had issues with my right leg for so long, finally on the other side of it. Now I can actually stand and play.
Awesome! :) Its definitely more immersive standing and interacting real time, but to be honest I just play it seated with both controllers and thumbstick. Works fine as well, since standing for hours I also don't find that comfortable.
@@PredCaliber Yeah, I can imagine. Lol, absolutely.
I'll probably end up doing exactly, that, even sitting in certain chairs hurt too, no more of that.
Appreciate the reply brother. You take care.
Thank you so much for this video. I always had the impression that Skyrym VR is the best VR-game out there.
Wow, I played Skyrim with mods a couple of years ago. Such a big change in 2022. This is amazing! I'm going back.
Picture it: Oculus 2 connected to my recently updated PC via thunderbolt-C, recently downed ice coffee, vape of delicious e-juice and ready to start a great gaming session 👌
Can't wait for the rtx 4080 and then play VR with the high texture mods and enb.
Crying with a 1070 and a oculus quest 2 😪🤣
spell wheel is one of my favorite skyrim vr mods
