it depends what features you really need. I'm so astonished by the 70D's dual-pixel AF during video. It's quick and precise, great for people who want to take start in DSLR videogrpahy and especially great for vloggers. That burst-rate is pretty good. The only things I miss are: dedicated WB button, headphone-jack and ability to change microphone setting during capturing. (and those batteries are really expensive :D) and build quality could be better but for that you better buy 7D
Luciano Lessa I have the 70D and it's way better than 700D, fram what I have seen. Yeah sure both will focus, but the way 70D focuses is way better, because it doesn't have to refocus few cenimeters more and less before making sure it's in focus. But again, if you really mean it with your production you should you manual focus. For vlogers is 70D really good because it manages to track your face pretty nicely
Great job with the comparison! As a take away, the only spec I picked up to be notably different, is the autofocus. Other specs were so close to each other, that it would not make any difference in any scenario I can imagine. And with the autofocus, it's only slightly better in 70D, and makes sense only when you shoot lot of videos. Did I get that right?
Decided to upgrade from the old 350D and went for the 700D and love it. Price wise I dont think the 70D is really worth the extra money. They are both pretty similar in the majority of specs, though I wish I had the wireless built into the 700D :(
It doesn't matter which body or motor you have it's all about the lenses. You can get good lenses for af for the 700d and megapixels don't really matter these days with dslr
+CutePets I just bought 700D about a couple months ago and it is good for being familiar with using DSLR anyway. However, now I will focus more in shoot the VDO file so I might trade the 700D to 70D.
Well that goes to show what a noob I am, I'd have assumed the higher number would have made the 700D a more advance model, cannon you tricky beggers you :D That said I've got the 700D and love it, certainly not looking to upgrade any time soon, but I am wondering if anyone knows if you can hook it up to your PC as a webcam?
I currently have 600D and it all started asking whether I should upgrade to 70D for better image quality and a bit more res. However the difference does not seem to be that much. They are almost identical- the differences do not justify twice the price difference- I mean why would you buy 70D where you can buy almost everything on 700D for half the price? Am I missing something here?
I suggest you to check lenses and not body if you want to improve your image quality . If you really want to improve your image quality from a 600d and looking for a body then go for a full frame like 6d otherwise, you will benefit a lot more from a good lense
I will go for the 700d because of the budget and because is a great camara. I think that to begin my UA-cam channel is a great option, later, if I have money, then I will rethink about buying the 70d.
I will be buying it too for a second channel, people think you have to buy the best to get the best when that really isnt true, esp with dslrs where you can just buy a better lens and not worry about anything.
This video helped me out so much! The only thing I need to decide is, 700D or 70D? I'm on a limited budget, but if the 70D is that much of an upgrade, I'll save my money.
Thanks for the video! I was looking to get one or two of these beautiful machines to upgrade my video quality for my show so I'm glad that you did this comparison.
Everybody actually says the canon 70d is much better in video filming than the 700d, but if you look at all the test videos on UA-cam it seems to me that the 700d has a better color depth and has more of this cinematic look Is that true? And what do you think about this? - Just take a look at some test videos of others and compare it is really a bit confusing... Thanks for helping !!
J. v. D. The Cinematic look depends on the colour grade in post. The colour grade depends on the user's skill (and conditions such as lighting and weather), not so much the camera. An analogy could be a good artist using cheaper paintbrush creates a vivid painting. While a ameture artist using an expensive paintbrush creates a bed painting because of the bad colours he used.
This is a perfect format for comparing two products. A knowledgeable guy explaining in words while actual stats are flashed onscreen, along various product aspects. My conclusion is to save a little more $ until I am ready for the 70D, on the basis of buying the latest technology in hopes of buying more time on the obsolescence curve, and here I'm thinking of the video auto-focus and the resolution/auto-focus points. Thanks for posting.
hello sir supersaf.. would you please make a comparison of nikon d5300 vs canon 70d. thanks a lot.. im just wondering what to buy because of the futures of 70d,, and in terms of best what should i buy.. thanks a lot and more power..
I'm enjoying these compariosns. I just subscribed to you yesterday, but I'm loving your vids man! I picked up the 70D for myself yesterday and these videos help me compare the ones I didn't buy. I was looking at a lot of different models for my own UA-cam channel, and I'm really glad I picked up the 70D. It's replacing a Sony HDR CX 560V Handcam!
+CHRISTIAN VEGA Its good, but they both film in 1080p (Full HD) so quality wise there shouldn't be much of a difference. However, neither will be better than the other audio is, without an external mic!
I just asked a professional Photographer about upping my game from the G11. Although I am not a pro, I wanted my photos and videos to look pro (or just better). His recommendation were these very 2 cameras. I for price I think the Rebel will be what I can do. Most of all I would like a SLR camera that has more video capabilities and it looks like for my skill (at this time) it sounds like the 700D will work for me. Thanks this was an awesome comparison.
holy shit dude! I've seen lots of your phone comparisons.. but this is there first time I see your chin! honestly it took me a second to recognize you.. 😂
I really wonder if the 70D is going to be shipped with a built-in WFT, considering that so far no EOS camera has it, and the price tag for a Canon WFT transmitter for high end EOS cameras starts at over 700 quid.
Im interested in making video WITH AUDIO and most of the mirror less cameras do not have external audio ports. what should i get based on just video alone??
Thanks for the video! I bought a T4i a bit ago and it was a close thing to buying the 60D instead at the time. So I continue to be interested in the comparison of the two lines of cameras. One thing I've been a little disappointed with is the software in the camera for videography. Since that's my main thing it's what I care most about. Do you know if the 70D or T5i have better software for video?
Hi, Planning to upgrade from Rebel T4i to 70D or 7D M ii. Which one is better ? or the Will the existing is okay ? Primarily Bird/Wildlife photography. - Rajesh
I have a t5i and I have like 1300$ to spend should I buy 70d or not because I don't have a lens yet and I was thinking sigma f1.8 18-35mm I make little short films for class
Hi im new to photography the 700d would be my first dlsr would it be good enough just for stunning shots video and excellent zoom in easy use and flip screen if so the say get it
I'm sure the 70D will perform better than 700D in term of versatility. But The picture quality will be the same or at least extremely close. Both got new processor digic 5 and 5+, I'm guessing the '+' part is to improves the video focusing bit... I might be wrong but I don't seem much improvement in picture quality... But the other advantages is awesome...
Thank you very much for your in-depth detailed of both of these cameras. I have been looking for someone to clearly pit dslr's against one another even if it means same manufacturer. Thanks again for taking your time to do this. It means a lot and for sure beats reading the long list of pros/cons on the websites. ;)
hi do you think for beginners good to start with canon 700d or Nikon d5200 because iam a new to step in dslr camera so plz suggest me which one to start with or if you have any other good one share with me and let me know about canon 70d and Nikon d5300.

Well I wish I'm in a position to give advice in photography/videography. I'm in the same shoes as you, confused. I'm a musician and I want to shoot my gigs using a DSLR on a tripod. Low light performance is a must, they advised me to go Sony A7S, its rly a beast in low light after seeing samples. but its pricey, i cant pay more than 500$ for a used dslr and large aperture lens. and I'm lost in the options
can u help me which to buy 60d or 700d because i love photography and move making can u suggest me which will be better for me . price range not much different between them so help me !

SamoScopom 700D also does this kind of "follow focus". It's awesome!

You're right.Lenses are more important.
700d! Yay! And you almost dont see the focus difference between 70 and 700d so no point of making it better
this has been the best, easiest to watch review, thanks for the great work :). now off to sell my kidney so i can get the Canon 70D
Hahaha I know! I really want the 70d but I'm Broke😂
You made me laugh. GSOH. I just got away by selling my blood. Saved Kidney!

I just sold my T3i and am buying the 70D tomorrow. I can't wait to start shooting my film projects soon!
Just got the 70d and i am in love with the autofocus in my videos. So happy i got it

his eye brows move a lot.
lol
So true I was about to comment that haha
U think he is indian, thats why. Not trying to be racist
+Anas Qodri wtf😂
I was debating on which would be a better long term investment because my T3i has only taken me so far. I now know that I need the 70D. Thank you!
It doesn't matter which body or motor you have it's all about the lenses. You can get good lenses for af for the 700d and megapixels don't really matter these days with dslr
The 70D is so much more expensive, going to purchase the 700D
me too
I bought the 700d and film with it. If you want to see how it looks when filming watch my videos. My name is noelle candice =D
oh thanks
Thank you - Very focused and no-nonsense compare. Helps a lot to easily see why the 70D is better in all respects, except the price :P !!
He talks with his eyebrows
Laughing out loud.
Didn't notice. But can't unsee.
Wonderful. Now that's all I can see.
Cant unsee it now 🤣
Well crap.. I just bought the 700D yesterday :/
nothing to worry about. A very good camera for a reasonable price :)
I just bought 700d a week ago
Chump. Hah.
+CutePets I just bought 700D about a couple months ago and it is good for being familiar with using DSLR anyway. However, now I will focus more in shoot the VDO file so I might trade the 700D to 70D.

Yup, you can. read the instructions on disc, or download from Canon.
What kind of lens you use?
Thanks buddy and welcome to the channel. Glad you are enjoying the videos, all the best with the 70D :-)

what is the price of 700D
Looking at older second-hand cameras, so your analysis was very helpful; thank you.
thanks just got the Rebel 700D and now going to switch it out for the 70D....
This video helped me out so much! The only thing I need to decide is, 700D or 70D? I'm on a limited budget, but if the 70D is that much of an upgrade, I'll save my money.
I waiting for Canon 90D with 4K video mode, and audio out for video) Now work with 700D, but autofocus work there not good.
Thanks for the video! I was looking to get one or two of these beautiful machines to upgrade my video quality for my show so I'm glad that you did this comparison.
It doesn't have a CF slot, it has an SD slot. My apologies, I must have forgot to update the text (from a previous video)
Thank you! Just traded my Nikon in for the 70D.For better movie making, we'll see.
I like this video because it's so simple and explains a lot at the same time
Great straight forward review. So I guess it's needless to say that the 80D is significantly better than the 700D.
is the canon 700d still god for makeup videos?
Yes 🤗
for my birthday i got a 650D but i sooo want a 70D. it just is so much better as well as looking physically more pro with that top view screen.
Everybody actually says the canon 70d is much better in video filming than the 700d, but if you look at all the test videos on UA-cam it seems to me that the 700d has a better color depth and has more of this cinematic look

Great comparison. Forgot to mention weather sealed case in the 70D
Hi Saif,
An excellent review. You really value the time of the viewers. Keep up the good work.
Holy shit you were Sheldon Cooper before Sheldon Cooper
Last one in the 70D series buddy, no more I promise lol
Haha don't worry, it's easier when I do these videos in a group. Usually I would spread them out a little more.
Thanks brother your vedio tutorial very helpful
I'm enjoying these compariosns. I just subscribed to you yesterday, but I'm loving your vids man!

I just sold my t3, which helped buy my 70D. I'm so freakin excited!!! 💁
i will go with 700D!!!!!!!

Pluss the 700d is made easier for newbies
holy shit dude! I've seen lots of your phone comparisons.. but this is there first time I see your chin! honestly it took me a second to recognize you.. 😂
Nice one, seeing Saf without glasses 😊
I go for both the T5i and 70D. However, if I can only choose one of the two, then I would choose the 70D because of it's specs.
and the 70D has Multiple exposure , cant wait to have it
i like to buy 70d. if i like to buy more extra lenz how to choose.. please give me some advice.thank you very much.

I Bought 700D After Watching This Video......Thanks....For Comparison...! ✌✌✌😎😎

I love my 70D it cant be beat when it comes to focus points the best in the game Canon lets go make magic.....
Im interested in making video WITH AUDIO and most of the mirror less cameras do not have external audio ports. what should i get based on just video alone??

Great comparison!
How do you compare the 70D to the 700D? Another youtuber with plenty time on his hand.

its cheap and Fabulous In Photography
yeah im getting that
What is kind of lens you use?
Should I return my 700d and pay extra for 70d there are a few features that I like on the 70d
No 700d rules there are just some bullshits features on 70d
What do you recomend me for if I want to do short films and all of that things...the 60d or 700d?
Thanks for the video! I bought a T4i a bit ago and it was a close thing to buying the 60D instead at the time. So I continue to be interested in the comparison of the two lines of cameras. I just replaced my T3i with the 70D
Holy shit I've never seen you without a beard before today
Which one better for shooting video ?
Hi,
Planning to upgrade from Rebel T4i to 70D or 7D M ii.
Which one is better ? or the Will the existing is okay ?
Primarily Bird/Wildlife photography.
- Rajesh
If you got proper lens and budget then upgrade ur cam :D
Best video for cameras i ever seen
I have a t5i and I have like 1300$ to spend should I buy 70d or not because I don't have a lens yet and I was thinking sigma f1.8 18-35mm I make little short films for class
Oh yeah I take a lot of photos too landscape mostly
Hi im new to photography the 700d would be my first dlsr would it be good enough just for stunning shots video and excellent zoom in easy use and flip screen if so the say get it
700d is best. Its more easier for newbies
Do you know that it is th lens that controlls zoom!?!? NOT the camera itself...
She hates on the 70d because she cant afford one and insted baught the 700d. She is a looser.
Can you make one more video comparison of Canon 70D vs Nikon D5200? Thank you.
what's a good cheap lens for the 700d to be used for plane spotting
Nice Video!
I have an old Canon 5D but want better AF and Video.
Would you get the 70D or 700D?
70D of course, 700D is Entry Level
I have the 70D I love it and you will to I give it ✴✴✴✴
Black Series Production stay with the Canon 5d man....
I will go 700 d thanks for the vedio
Best camera review video I watched so far
Are you planning to do a video comparison between the 70D and 6D?
Errr man I brought yesterday the t5i what you thinks keep the t5i or change for 70d ? The technology go so fast !,
I want a camera better than the t5i, but cheaper than a 70d. There's another camera in the middle of this two? Great video
You need Panasonic G7. Only 597 $ from Amazon!
+Nasimul Hasan overpriced
Thank you very much for your in-depth detailed of both of these cameras. I have been looking for someone to clearly pit dslr's against one another even if it means same manufacturer. hi do you think for beginners good to start with canon 700d or Nikon d5200 because iam a new to step in dslr camera so plz suggest me which one to start with or if you have any other good one share with me and let me know about canon 70d and Nikon d5300.
I'll be shooting videos primarily. Which one do I get? 750D and sony A6000 are two options too.
Did you get an answer yet?
I guess Sony a6300 is best for shooting videos. Loads of features and also internal 4k recording is available. But it's a bit pricey so for less money 750D or 700D both are good options. 70D or 80D has got better image quality as it seems. But still a bit on the pricier side. What do you think?
Well I wish I'm in a position to give advice in photography/videography. I'm in the same shoes as you, confused. I'm a musician and I want to shoot my gigs using a DSLR on a tripod. Low light performance is a must, they advised me to go Sony A7S, its rly a beast in low light after seeing samples. but its pricey, i cant pay more than 500$ for a used dslr and large aperture lens. and I'm lost in the options
That's the same case with, want to shoot some videos of my performance. I think sony cameras are better in low light.
I just ordered the Panasonic G70, it's has 4k Video too and it's much cheaper than the Sony A6300.
Like can you upload the pictures from the camera to your smartphone ?
What is the difference between those cameras is written 700d as its Video and other t5i who has written on her body?
Nothing else, just the continent of manufacturing?
Thanks!
can u help me which to buy 60d or 700d because i love photography and move making can u suggest me which will be better for me . price range not much different between them so help me !
I want take films or take video so i use 70d or 700d

hey do u have any advise for rather i buy 700d or 70d plz help
can you plz suggest me which one should i purchase....1200D or 700D
700d ofc its better go watch vids for it
I'm looking to buy a camera in about summer of 2014, and I'm focused on canon. Hopefully both cameras will a drop a bit of price by then. I'm making movies with it and some pictures, but mostly videos. It's it worth me buying the 70d for what it is? I was initially going t5i but now I may reconsider. Thoughts anyone?
I would go for canon 70d😍🙋🏻
Ainmight get the canon 700d for my birthday but I really want one
considering the 700d cost $700 on ebay and the 70d is $1000, I might just spend the extra cash, considering my primary goal will be high quality video the autofocus will be good, the gh4 looks good but It will probably be twice as much, has a smaller sensor, and no magic lantern for raw files
I thought that the 700d was better
me too
would they have the same battery size?
Me 70d is coming next week so exited for it!!
what would be the best lens for the 70d? I am looking for still-life, portrait, etc.
85mm f/1.2 USM ii 'L' will get you incredebly shap picture in the light or in the dark, It has a wide apature that make it awsome for more blury backgrounds. This make the photos seem to pop more than the 1.8. I Hope this helped and good luck.
Awesome, thanks a ton
WTF? all infos are just spec reading..
What else do you want?
+topoluc12 test showdown
jeremy christian But it still comes up to the specs which one is better?
i owned 700D it is fantastic imo lovin' it
Spec-wise, the 700D can barely hold a candle to the 70D.
Dint know he made camera reviews lol
N which lens
18-135 or 18-200....
How much ll it cause approx
when I saw the 1080, I thought it was pixel resolution.
Until I saw the Euros sign next to it.
Me: oh😐😐
