After about a month of practicing off and on, I can play the first one quarter of the rhythm guitar in this song incredibly awfully.

Probably the best performance I've seen of Take No Prisoners yet. Dave's vocals are fucking on in this performance. Musically, everything is clean and wired tight. Lomenzo brought a great feel. Broderick is such a great addition to Megadeth, his leads are breathtaking, and I also believe he's the best guitarist Megadeth has had, as far as holding down rhythm guitar with Dave. Finding a great lead guitarist that is equally great at rhythm guitar is a rare occurrence, but they are out there.

Shockingly enough, this performance sounds much better than the original album version of the song or the remastered one.

Except the backing vocals in the first verse. You know, "Infiltrate them! Terminate them!" Those two have no energy when singing those but can't blame 'em I guess they're guitarists.

Bass is not as good as the original or the remastered. Somewhat muddy. That or the bass parts were altered.

Been listening to this since it came out. Just started playing guitar, now I have a whole new appreciation for it. I mean, holy shit Dave, like Holy Fuck.
They need Junior back, that mid-bassline in the song was horrible. If you've listened to the song, you know what I'm talking about.
These vocals were reproduced in the studio for the Big 4 DVD. During this tour, Dave's voice was having issues, so they had to work over them and it's extremely obvious. Still, I recently saw Megadeth with Iron Maiden in San Bernadino at they were great. Dave's voice was better that night then it was during the Big 4 Tour.

It's from the Live DVD. It has been overdubbed in the studio. Go check out other live vids online from shows during the same time, and notice the difference. I have no problem either way, i understand that singers get old and can't always keep the voice as in there twenties.
Yep, the last time they didnt overdub their live album was That one night DVD. The vocal on that one still exactly the same as the radio broadcast version which I downloaded.
Then again some classic live albums like Unleashed in the east and Life after death are heavily overdubbed.

One of my favorite ‘Deth tunes by my favorite Thrash metal band. This is before Dave’s voice gave out after many years of singing like this. Freaking awesome how he sounds. And no one, and I mean NO ONE can play such difficult shit AND sing at the same time. And let’s add in that for those that have seen Megadeth live ( or watched then live on video) knows that he barely looks at his neck. It’s crazy! Dave mustaine deserves all the credentials to be had when talking about his songwriting and guitar playing. Even if he can come across as an asshole sometimes. But I’ll always respect this man. Wish I could play even close to what he does
Chris Broderick is the best thing to happen to Megadeth since Marty Friedman, Dave Ellefson is the best thing to happen to Megadeth since Dave Ellefson! and Drover is a beast drummer... Best Megadeth lineup since Rust In Peace

To me Dave’s vocals in this era were brutal, I saw them live twice rust in piece tour and count down, his vocals are really snarlly live, and mean sounding , his vocals are a snarl anger, it’s what makes Megadeth along with the fast speed and brutal riffs
