There's actually a secret error I've found while doing BIOS corruptions. "The data may not have been moved/copied/erased." - Most likely happens when the memory card dies on you.
It's worth mentioning that the "System settings have been lost" error occurs when you've unplugged the controller port's circuit board from the rest of the system (after physically opening it up, of course). This is because the battery on that board powers the system clock, which keeps track of the date and time even when the system is off; disconnecting it from the rest of the console means the console's motherboard loses track of what the time was (as it had no power to continue keeping track).
@@TibiGamer3DS Yes. Unfortunately, on the PS3/PS4/PS5, this battery had been weaponized to enforce DRM for digital, and in the case of PS4/PS5, physical games.

Game Boy Player error is actually from the boot disc itself. The firmware for the GameCube is what's called an IPL or Initial Program Loader. Its only purpose is to (a) provide a pre-boot menu to adjust console NVRAM settings and manage memory cards, and (b) to validate and boot the disc that is in the drive. Once the disc is booted the firmware relinquishes all hardware control to the game itself.
At 2:12, this error can also happen if there is no DVD drive installed in the GameCube, or in the case of the GCLoader (and clones), it could mean a faulty SD card extender (people use them a lot). At 2:35, this error can also happen if you disconnect the controller board, which contains the battery to keep the time. This is especially important in games like Animal Crossing. And if you select No on that error screen, you will still be sent to the main menu. The Game Boy Player error can also be recreated on a Wii.

Thanks! I am now very aware of the GCN errors and I know how to fix them! I’m becoming a console collector so you are being a gigantic help! Good luck for the future, have a nice day if you are reading this!
The error on 1:56 reminds me of the "There's a problem with the disc you are using" message on the Original Xbox. Just like the Original Xbox, Nintendo required its games to constantly check for the disc in the drive; if the disc is missing, dirty or dameged, the game would then tell the user that the disc couldn't be read (message looks similar to other game messages with no OK button). This would especially occur if a game would take more than one minute to load.
I know mine's been giving the "system settings have been lost" message for the past several years now. Thankfully it's not a critical error, but every now and again I'll hit yes and find out the console thinks the year is 2054. If I still had my old copy of Animal Crossing I'm not sure it'd be playable... Edit: I've had that GameCube for almost eighteen years now if I remember correctly, so it might be an age/degradation issue. As long as it runs that's all I care about, that little console's been entertaining me for longer than a lot of the people here have been alive.
2:00 I brought Madden 07 on gamecube the disc seemed fine but unfortunately it has a 70% chance of crashing when I play the training mode and 30% chance of crashing during normal gameplay...I am so glad I took good care of all my old games when I bought them new.

That has probably happened to my wii also since ive had it for so many years. Still works!
Me too!!!😠😠😠
How? Edit: 1 second after I posted this I remember the Wii have a GameCube built into it
Same, lol
yeah its only on the wii
Thanks! I am now very aware of the GCN errors and I know how to fix them! I’m becoming a console collector so you are being a gigantic help! Good luck for the future, have a nice day if you are reading this!
2:40 If you would press no, it would take you immediately straight go the inserted game disc, or straight up to the main menu if there's no disc.
3:38 OMG! An unexpected earrape! 😰
R.I.P Headphone Users.
Mattie Martin This guy does this at the end of every video I love him but I also hate him
The error on 1:56 reminds me of the "There's a problem with the disc you are using" message on the Original Xbox.
Vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv:-
Mmmmmmmmmmmm m nnnnn
2:41 Choosing no would just initialize all settings at their defaults (more than likely inadvisable).
3:13 WHAT WAS NINTENDO THINKING?!
When there's the lost settings screen (2:35), there's a language selection screen. So, this a PAL Gamecube you use?
Yeh someone at Nintendo was like “make a game boy player error sound”
Employee: “Gotcha”
**bashes head on the piano**
0:25 This can happen if you run Bannerbomb 1.0 on system version 4.3. It is more like a medium difficulty.
2:46 I Find That Really Creepy, Damn That Noise!
Which is why I didnt want a blue GC ever again 😨😨😨
More like 3:13
Game boy player isn't connected :
Nintendo : You wanted to die
3:13 Imagine this happens at 3AM and the door starts to move
I hope one day you will be a ultimate memer
You know there’s something up with the Wii when every sound plays twice
You forgot one error. If you put a scratched GC disc inside a WII, then a error will occur.
omg...
The internal battery of the GameCube that stores the system settings might be dead
Gamecube: Where is the Gameboy player
Death: Ight, imma head out
Satan: DUDE WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT?
Imagine watching this video at 3AM then the end happens
3:39 is an earrape sound that will hurt the headphone users!
thanks buddy you saved me from going deaf lol
@@rowboat0012 No problem
3:13 is the kind of dramatic sound effects you hear from consoles or video games, just to get the message through with a little fright.
When the game boy player thing happened to me it genuinely scared me
2:00 I brought Madden 07 on gamecube the disc seemed fine but unfortunately it has a 70% chance of crashing when I play the training mode and 30% chance of crashing during normal gameplay...I am so glad I took good care of all my old games when I bought them new.
3:13 in a nutshell:
Nintendo: Lets turn on full volume on this piano, smash it and make it a random pop-up error to scare children!
Nintendo: **uploads**
**gets error** Children: *WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA*
3:13 Nintendo smashed the piano to make an error sound
Play station smashed a piano to make the boot up sound
