Boy Melanie's testimony is rather vague compared to prior interviews with Nate Eaton. I understand it's been over 3 years and memories fade but I think her motivation is that she's trying to minimize her involvement with all of the cult stuff in order to avoid being excommunicated from the LDS Church. It sounds like she was more involved with all the hocus pocus until Lori and Chad tried to have her cover up for them when JJ went missing.

I have had a feeling, about the way Chad was also trying to sell David Warick his house. IMO, I believe "They" (Chad & Lori) could have had a plan to set MG & DW Up. Since "They" knew where the kids were buried. ?? ¿¿
I certainly wouldn't put it past them!
I think MG "woke up" just in time, even though I believe she knew a little about what happens when someone turns *dark*

I agree. On day one, the prosecution has down the line showed us all of the moving parts of the conspiracy's, and the trail of bodies is shocking and shows a complete lack of empathy for any of these vicims. No empathy, no feelings of guilt, I now realize clearly how they just kept killing and lying thinking they were just going to never have to face the consequences.

Tylee had the chance in the interrogation room where she helped lie for her mom, or at the scene of charles shooting. She could have told what her mother was doing to charles when lori decided to rob the account and run off to her next player dumbbell. Tylee told her grandma, what REALLY happened and they killed charles who then told Lori what Tylee told her. Then Lori decided Tylee was a risk she wasnt willing to take. Tylee wanted to tell colby when he asked her about it. She started to tear up and her grandma escorted her to vehicle where she then left. I believe JJ was reacting out the crime scene and words spoken during crime. I dont believe he was in the car at all. I believe that's why Lori left to school the kids on lying and got JJ away in case he said different than told. That's why JJ couldn't be around anyone really or talk to his grandparents because he was repeating the truth. That's when the BS was made up about zombies and the system rate of dark and light mumbo jumbo came into play for their own excuse for murdering off people for their own lying cheating scandal. Charles left his first wife and boys for mrs glamorpuss and lying murderer. Lori destroyed charles and got rid of him when done with, just like she lied about Joe Ryan with child abuse charges of the worst kind, especially if NOT true, so she lied about him and got others to believe while hooking up with ole charlie. Then he got dead to. And yea for Lori she has charles bank account which is fine and dandy for 14 years. Then she got bored and needed a new exciting life with a new idiot.
I feel bad for what happened to all murdered, but. Charles gave the world to Lori AND her kids, but Tylee was lying about Charles for her mother. Mel Gibbs didn't murder anyone, and just because Tylee didn't care for the mumbo jumbo doesnt give her the right to be so rude to someone youve just met. Maybe she was jealous of the time Lori was giving to her new found affair and being golden saint of the heaven's and earth alike, but still just rude. And even though Charles was good to those he loved, and people in general, still left his first wife and boys to be murderer by mrs. Hotty MckNOTty.

If she looks like a cult member; think of chad's greeting on the recording, "sweet Melanie", then she probably was/is. Also, chad previously told her that Tammy was to go on a special mission, it later transpires that Tammy is "dark", so I guess that chad's prior prophecy of the mission was a dud, just as any normal person would have expected. I won't start on his day of doom, the fact that he was wrong is perfectly matched by his "faith", which has history of repeatedly calling out a day for doom, and again, any normal person knows it is a dud, and the proof, if you need any, is that we are all still here. She phoned them up to make herself look apart from them. In other words, she's distancing herself, once she realised that she could end up on trial with the two friends that she "loves". She should be with her two friends, but not as a witness but as a co-conspirer. 😇

She should have reviewed her notes before trial! Considering the gravity of this case, you’d think she’d try her best to ensure her recollections were in order for the sake of justice. When she mentioned that Lori may have know that she wasn’t the beneficiary on Charles life insurance before the murder….🤦🏻‍♀️. I really hope that they share the phone call from Lori to the insurance company trying to collect that money. She clearly did not know he had moved the beneficiary to Kay. Yes it makes sense why she was compelled from a Mormon perspective, although the beliefs and practices that Chad and Lori taught definitely outside the realm of regular everyday Mormonism. Because Mormons believe that God continues to reveal new information and that we should actively seek to have those revelatory experiences, it is understandable that Melanie would be interested in hearing about things that were "revealed" to Chad and Lori.
However, as Melanie later comes to recognize and points out in her recording, Chad and Lori's experiences don't stand the test. Revelation that goes beyond personal application should have witnesses - other people receiving the same information. It should also have some scriptural precedence, not be completely out in left field, and generally invite people to do good (as in, the opposite of having affairs and murdering people).
From personal experience, I was raised LDS and in 2017 was still LDS. I had family members who were followers of Chad Daybell and Julie Rowe, who tried to "convert" us. They told us the end was coming within a few years, and that we needed to collect certain items in order to be admitted into places of refuge to survive the tribulation. It took me all of two minutes to see that these people were off their rockers and not in line with the LDS church. Apparently Melanie was a bit more naive.

I'd guess that Lori has probably always been a dangerous person with psychopathic behavior that she has successfully kept secret & able to semi control until she couldn't. Lori was good at convincing others because not many people have the prior experience of knowing or expecting such evil.
Lori shows us this bone chilling side in her portrayal of victim, her description of events purely sick and perversely callous, her anti social behavior vividly evil.
Lori displays the glib humor & comments to the cop outside the home after the murderer, joking about her neighbors & what must they must be thinking of her..."Hi neighbors, husband got killed hehe" & then the interview with police after Charles murder. She displays the superficial charm & she is very comfortable with long winded stories, fictional events, etc.. winded lies, she tells fabricated lies, tall tales, uses word salads, convincingly while others accept her versions without much protest, she feels no shame has zero qualms over trying to discredit Charles character, reputation, she going on with great ease, a monster w/a total disconnect from being human.
And scarily, she is able to get away with this fairy tale character, easily & without much protest or skeptism from others. People believed her with her acting skills, her tone of her voice, all feigned & learned not real,
Empty, a great lack of emotional bonds, connection. A disgusting shocking lack of shame in all things, playing the victim, lacking empathy, lacking care, lacking concern, lacking remorse, lacking guilt nor awareness of what it is to be human. Zero!
Psychopathic behaviors, violating the rights of others, above the law, entitled, superior, greedy & narcissistic, shallow, childish fantasy love, calculating, self centered, arrogant, etc... What in the world is this defenses strategy? It reminds me of the Darrell Brooks case. It’s like the crossexamination has literally no direction or attempt at an alternative explanation. I doubt a person just tuning in would even beable to tell that’s it’s cross. It doesn’t sound any different then the questions the prosecution is asking. Theyre more like clarifying questions it’s BIZARRE!

This defense attorney is a real pitbull. He has a soft voice, but if you have seen this man you will realize that he is a consummate actor. He uses body language effectively and very broadly with stern and disapproving glares at the prosecution lawyers and his over-the-top number of objections. When this is over I'd like to see a list of all the objections he lodges. He is constantly slowing down the process with his objections. Sadly, he hits every now and then. I think the reality of the situation is he knows he has an unwinnable case. He is doing everything in his power to disrupt the flow in the courtroom in order to distract the jury in an effort to mitigate the damage to his client. I think the prosecution is up to the challenge, but it's going to be a fight down to the last second of testimony. This guy is really going all out for his client, as the law requires. Even if he knew she was guilty of the crimes she was charged with he has a legal obligation to provide her with a "zealous and vigorous representation". If he prevails every subsequent body that drops will be on him.

During her chat with the police at the curb, after Lori returned from taking JJ to school and running an errand to buy flip flops, she and Tylee both said that they heard the shots but didn't see anything. They repeated this during their interrogation at the CPD. Both videos are available on YT.
