Thanks man!
Ohhh hell Yessss I’ve been waiting for this video from you!!! 🤯
Haha awesome!
That potential 10k giveaway sounds good. Early congrats on 10k!
Thanks man! Slowly but surly. Jaliscos alone will be awesome, but I have a couple ideas in mind that I think people will like!
I have a 2014 q50 base rwd and I just turn off traction control keep it in first and roll into donuts it’s no problem. Standing burnouts are hard though
how
@@Awsometiger1011 nah bro I can swing and do donuts with just traction control off just roll into it and go left if you go right I can only hold the donut for like 2 and then it just spins out
Standing burn outs are easy
@@Awsometiger1011it’s cause the rwd of course. Most rwd cars have leeway and power going to back. The people who have to do the white button trick have the Awd models. Can’t burnout nothing and totally restricted if it’s awd. The white button or in the back of truck disables the awd and will turn the car temporarily to rwd.
Finally let’s go let’s grow
You guys are awesome! 👍 Subbed.
Thanks a lot!!
Great vid finally you did ur burn out👍 did u try taking the senior off the trunk ?
No did not unplug the wires in the trunk
Saw the 9.9k sub. Was hoping to get you to 10k! Sorry I wasn’t the 10k 😢 i like that q though, it’s very very aggressive, yet very very clean
So close!! Thanks for trying!
I like the exhaust sound, does it work in awd after disconnecting abs sensor in the trunk?
I would imagine so, but I can't be positive as I've never tried it myself.
It does but I wouldn’t do it their AWD for a reason
Thanks for the info Speed. I was trying to figure out how to do one for the longest the little white button didn't help lol your content is awesome.
Thank you! Yeah white button is good if you’re going to whip some donuts but for a brake stand it doesn’t help at all!

Can someone make a video on splicing the wires and adding a switch to turn on or off
After watching this, I want you to try something. I tried myself with the whole brake button/traction control off and I got nowhere. Turn traction control off, hit the brake, and as you hit the gas and the rpm’s go up to 2k, let off and then immediately mash/feather the gas again. Let me know if it works. Works on mine.
I’ll try that-it allows you to stay on the throttle and spin?
@@SpeedCultureStudios yup. Throw it in 1st and when you get to that 1.6k rpm let off the gas and hit it again until it breaks loose. After that you can keep it in 1st and redline the hell out of it or shift into second/third for some long bacon strips 😂
Do u think this will work on a 2014 Infiniti qx70 truck?
@@SpeedCultureStudios did you ever end up trying this??
@@astonishhyjack1621 I did. Does not work for me! Possibly in the newer Q like Matt’s but not for mine anyway

@@SpeedCultureStudios hey bro I still haven't figured out how to set up personal mode lmao can you show it in a future video? Its not in my driver settings
@@ZKRACE25 Do you have a red sport? I could be wrong, but I think the red sports are the only model with personal mode. I'm really not sure about a 2014, but if you can't find it, you probably don't have that option.
@@spauldingjones5763 its the 3.7. No red sport. And yes I have the personal option I promise lol
My 2017 q50 burns out nasty by taking off traction , put it on sport and on 1st gear maunal and damn that thing spins them vicious
I don’t have traction in 1st gear either.
Do you make it RWD first?
As soon as I get my car 🚗 Q50 I just want to enjoy the sound of the car and I'll have my car for a very long time I really like the way how this car which I know already it's a Nissan GTR but better it has four Doris
i wouldnt say its a gtr anything lol more like “GTR INSPIRED”
I’d consider my q50 like a 4 door 370z

Awesome video 👌 try dropping psi on the tires 20-23psi for better grip
With street radials dropping them that low really doesn’t do all that much honestly. I’m at 29.5 right now and I’ll drop to 27 on occasion but lower than that they just don’t act like slicks or even drag radials. Sidewalls aren’t constructed the same...but every tire is different too so I still have to play around some with these firehawks
@@SpeedCultureStudios I have a set of nitto nt555II 275/40 on the street at 22psi after a small burnout to get them warm I hook really good.. at the track they hook even better.. but if you want traction you need drag radials nt555rII worked really good for me and Mickey street ss worked good too.
@@notractioncontrol2023 always been a big fan of nittos! I don’t think I’ll need anything as serious as MTs though. I don’t plan to do much straight line racing with the car, but I definitely want to find the sweet spot for these tires for when I do get to the strip
@@SpeedCultureStudios at the strip you will be on glue so it's easier.. I still spun on high psi though. That's why I started to go lower till I got to where it doesn't spin much.. just chirps a bit on takeoff and slight 1st to 2nd chirp
On my g37 I had a button for the yawn sensor on and off
We have been doing this for a long time fellas and yes just wire a switch...use the plug in the trunk and will not need to push that white button by the brake pedal.
Wondered if anyone had done the switch yet. But I wouldn’t use the plug in the trunk. I would prefer a push button switch under the steering column that is easily accessible from the drivers seat.
The trunk is safer i think and u can put it in park Noprob ... ima be putting a switch for the trunk coming spring
@@SpeedCultureStudios bro you splice into the trunk harness and wire a switch up front, it's super easy, i have been running it for a while now...
@@georgebrummell4894 yeah putting in a switch wouldn’t be hard at all. Just curious what the benefit or advantage would be splicing into the trunk wires and running the switch up front. I would think it would be less hassle just splicing into the harness up front. Let me know
I have a question. I'm really not into burnouts per say, well I mean killing my expensive tires, but turning off traction control, will this help my pulls be stronger? I totally feel / notice the lagging and delays when I get on it from a stand still or at any speed 20mph, 30mph, 40mph + pulls. Its always bugged me about my Q50. I never know how its going to perform when I do play. Seems to always be a roll of the dice situation. I guess I'm just trying to fine tune my knowledge on the Traction control story. And If there is a benefit to off mode, lets say someone wants to run on the interstate from 40mph, do I just push the main TRC button off(while driving or do I need to stop first) or is it more beneficial to go the extra step and also push the little white button behind the pedal. Also is turning TRC off taking my car from AWD to only RWD? (2018 q50 luxe)
Turning TC off can potentially help with pulls as long as you’re getting grip-which can be difficult with an open diff, but if you’re awd you should hook pretty good.
What kind of rims do you have on your q50
Please help me bro
I been tryna figure this out for a while but my cable isn’t half white and half gray like yours I have a 2023 Redsport and I’m not able to get it off it looks like it has a different type of clip on it that’s harder to take off
Imma try this tommorow😂

Sick ass car
Thanks!!
Yeah I noticed if I brake boost in my 19 luxe and the tires spin at all it will basically go into a weird limp mode that won't go away until you cycle the ignition.
Bro I’ve been trying to do a stand still burnout for the longest time 😂 I just did a fat burnout lol

Do you have to unplug the white plug or can you just hold the button till the traction control turns on and produce the same result?
White button does not help with standing burnouts. I mentioned that in the vid. Plug needs to be disconnected

What does the black button do that’s next to the white one? I press the black on accident sometimes but it doesn’t seem to do anything? I’m sure it’s there for a reason though.
I believe it is for cruise control cancelation. When you press the brake, it releases that button and cancels cruise
Are we supposed to press the white button b4 unplugging as well?
No need
Has your checked engine light ever come on after doing this?
No it hasn’t
Mine did
Can you just splice the wires and add a toggle switch?
Probably. That’s sort of what I was eluding to in the first part of the vid. Extend the wires a bit so it can be reached conveniently and add a switch or a push button.
Can you make a video on doing so ? It would get alot of traction
I have a question. I heard q50 has a really slow/delayed touch screen, so can I like… put my own touch screeen? Ex - Apple carplay
It’s not slow. Some 14s had some slower loading issues, but not terrible and I don’t think it’s an issue with 15+ cars. But yes CarPlay is available now.
What did u do to turn the traction control again for mine the light just stays on
It’ll stay on until you shut the car off and turn it back on
Aren't you tuned? My tune allows me to do this, even if im in RWD or AWD mode
I was tuned before this was possible. New version of ecutek allows for it, but I’m not going to return just for a burnout

Hitting the button alone does not do it. I’m pretty sure I showed that in the video. The car will cut power if it detects the brake being pressed. It must be unplugged
@@SpeedCultureStudios sorry sir just wanted to check before I tried in my q60.

Will this work with the 370z 6spd as well
I would imagine it has the same trac control system. If you have the little white button under the brake pedal then I would guess that it works

Also the car still doesn’t always do the burnout first try or many other tries after it seems like when the car is hot already it doesn’t allow you to do the burnout at all
Pressing the button doesn’t do it. That’s good if you’re going to be swinging the car around. Some have said the plug in the trunk works, but the most success comes from unplugging the wires at the brake pedal as shown in the video.

My 2017 redsport let me spin them all day just by taking traction control off
Do you have to disconnect the tire to make it RWD first?
Cap
You're already roasting your brand new Firestone 500 tread?!? Truth is, burnouts don't do much for street tire compounds but could clean help clean them off but again not soft enough to collect rocks like a serious drag specific compound. The serious full-out drag racing tires have rubber compounds that react to the friction and making them tacky due to their design. Burnouts mainly reduce the life/use of ones street tires but tends to make them feel faster or appear to be more serious.
Couple little burnouts won’t hurt too bad.
On the street, it is mostly to clean road debris to get better contact, which is why a quick little hit is sufficient. However, a bit of heat in the tire does improve gripping characteristics. It becomes very apparent when doing 0-60 pulls. First pull will always spin unless i take time to warm up the tires, but 2nd hit has been gripping quite well.
Drag radials and slicks do respond to heat better and to a reduction in tire pressure as well, but these firehawks seem to like a bit of heat as well. My old sumitomo htr -z II liked heat too, but just the right amount. Too hot, they got greasy. Just the right amount and they’d grab nicely even with over 450lbs of torque
@@SpeedCultureStudios A quick little dry stomp is what I've tried to stick to. When you invest in $340 to 400 per a serious street tire(not full-out dragstrip tire), burnouts become very costly and show little difference if any. Example (entertaining videos:) man here in Dallas with his car 1000whp Hellcat and lightly modified 392 Challenger: ua-cam.com/video/FziGOFF-cgk/v-deo.html and his 0-60 video Dodge 392 vs. '18-19 5.0 10-speed: ua-cam.com/video/fkK3LF_ehJQ/v-deo.html The reality of burnouts and 0-60 on the street
@@GettingthruLife Well be fair, the very best ultra high performance tire cannot hold 1000 whp so no, a burnout on the street will not help. However with 3-4-500 hp, putting some heat in the tires most definitely makes a difference. Indeed it becomes costly but it’s the nature of the beast. A couple serious track days can eat up the tires very quickly-it doesn’t mean we stop doing track days! 😉
