- Finally got the Invidia Gemini catbacks installed on my Infiniti Q50. Its everything I remember it being when I had it on my G37. Quiet and understated at idle, but deep, throaty, and aggressive VQ music under load.

Great vid man. I have this same cat back on my 370Z. The Gemini really is a great package and the dynamics can provide a very chill or very intense experience as desired. There are some great backroads near where I live and I just love listening to the exhaust note echo between the trees when I stomp on it. I plan to do headers and high flow cats next.

@@wolfpack9695 I'll preface by saying I'm super biased here. The VQ37 exhaust note is very distinctive and one of the main reasons I bought the car. There's nothing like it lol. The 3.0T will be quieter and more "buzzy." Not bad, just different. Small price to pay for that extra 100 HP 😅

SCS Exhaust Setup is a really nice exhaust for about half the price of this one. But this does sound clean 🔥
Yup SCS is definitely an awesome option, I probably would have gone that route if I wasn't chasing Invidia memories from my G days 😅

@@SquareWheelsAuto With the HFC's the beast has woken up hahaha, still able to ride lurker mode, especially in Eco mode, it gets pretty quiet! Awesome exhaust setup. Performance gain is insane. Some drone right at 15000rpm but no drone anywhere else in the rpm range. Take care man!

So the HFC don’t require a tune or tune on any lights ?if so I might go with this because I just bought a ISR single exit exhaust but I might return it depending on you’re answer lmao wasn’t trying to go single exit but I couldn’t find any dual catbacks that I liked.

Thx Oscar! Ask around, I've heard some manufacturers just say rwd bc they haven't tested it on awd? I can't think of any reason why it would be different but I haven't looked under an awd 🤔

Does this add any performance gains? And did you also have a tune with this or you just added the HFC and exhaust?
Feels a bit more responsive on butt-dyno, but could be placebo effect. Planning on getting a tune eventually, just haven't gotten around to it! 😎

I don't!! I got mine secondhand off the forums - I'd recommend looking for lightly used since availability for new is SCARCE and prices are through the roof.
did you change the tips from the burnt ones it originally comes with?
Comes with either rolled stainless or burnt tips. I chose stainless 🤙🏽
Is there any drone at all with this system? I went the custom route and have hated life I can't get mine to stop droning at 2.5k - 3.2k rpms so im looking for something different
No drone on mine. I had the same setup on my G and it was same. Nice tones, no drone.

No, no, and no.
So I have isr test pipes do you think this exhaust would be the best choice or if not what one would be ?
Yeah im not familiar with the ISRs but generally if you've got test pipes they make the car a bit louder and raspier. If you're looking for a refined sounding exhaust to pair with them I'd go with either this one or the SPEEDCULTURESTUDIOS exhaust.
How did the exhaust system sound with no high flow cats and just the Invidia alone?
Got the HFCs first "unfortunately". With stock cats it'd be a lil quieter and less "throaty" probably. HFCs definitely add some growl.
Hey bro ,I was thinking about deleting my resonators on my invidia Gemini. I have it on my G37s coupe with header and resonators test pipe and it still didn’t sound as deep . I love ur sound , would you recommend it
Idk man I think you'd definitely get louder with less resonators but idk about deeper. I'd be worried about rasp too.

No. I'm no pro, but I don't think any cutback exhaust would cause that.
Did you add any mods to the front exterior of your q50?
Not much up front. Chrome delete, blacked out the grill and added an led emblem. And I made the lower part of the bumper black to follow the lines of the grille.
Hey man I got one just recently is it normal for it to make the tsss sound when reving/accelerating with air intakes?
Yep there's an audible hiss sometimes. I can't make it happen consistently, but definitely happens.

Had one o my g37x coupe. Definitely need a Gemini on my q60rs. Too quite. Not looking for obnoxiously loud this is a good middle ground. Did you turn off the fake exhaust sound in the cabin in secret menu?

@@SquareWheelsAuto did yours work ok on stock tune when you upgraded exhaust? I do plan to upgrade intakes and heat exchanger start of summer and know it will need a tune so they work together nicely. Just want to do exhaust first. My g37 went nuts with the stillen intakes so I had to tune it and upgrade the exhaust. It was pretty much undrivable.
Ne er had any issue with my VQs with intakes/HFC/exhaust and no tune. It's WAY better with a tune, but I actually never tuned my G37 with takeda intakes/kinetix HFC/this exhaust
@@SquareWheelsAuto ah OK. I did the stillen on g37. Was OK first few weeks then kept throwing maf fault codes. You could be at 5k rpm car would not get past 40mph. Dyno showed huge torque drop, dip between 4500 and 5500 rpm. You could floor it and car wouldn't respond at all. Exhaust and tune fixed it. Had to basically. Got to 300whp.

Probably really similar since the engines are essentially the same engines. I had the same exhaust on my G and it sounded a tiny bit throatier than my Q

I feel u! I love these cars but Nissfiniti definitely could have made some better decisions to make them more attractive for enthusiasts... These are successors to the G's, which were/are targeted directly at enthusiasts. Didn't make any sense to water them down :(
@@SquareWheelsAuto they had to for costs sake. Sports cars don’t sell as much as regular commuter cars so they had to make it a sporty car for the general consumer, knowing that enthusiasts are gonna drive em either way. Nissan’s been “broke” for a while now

@@bn4241 i had some rasp when I was just running HFC but the invidia helped to smooth most of it out. Worst case scenario: add more resonators!

Invidia Gemini or speedculturestudios custom exhaust are best bets in my opinion. Muffler delete won't really change your sound, it'll just amplify it
