As a beginner guitar student, as in, just now learning actual chords. Finger style like JTis my goal in life. However, I am 41 years old and this seems light years away for me right now. I love how he can say that’s a jamestaylorism and then just hits country road like nothing
usually I am fan of this site but to explain the picking pattern for the intro only, which does change in the verse and chorus and to completely omit that in a 30 min tutorial blows my mind especially since there is obviously no picking pattern (like Travis picking) for the rest of the song and you have to figure out by yourself by slow mo how to do all of that...

Technically you cant play it exactly like this in the same key without the capo. But you could play it like this without the capo it will just be 1 tone lower
