      @@brandondeel3567 The thing is that people drift for points. Me I drive as I drive my real drift car on track with my buddys. Some people doesnt know the basic of tandeming, the either drag race you and you have no fun behind or when following they bump you really hard because of a huge surge because they doesn't anticipate your lead. Yes I will need to slow down when leading please anticipate instead of surging like crazy.

    Great Video!, Two things that really help me is that when transitioning, try to start your transition at or before the car in front of you does, this gives me the jump on diving in on them in the next corner. the second thing is that when driving with 3+ cars, if you are a middle car, don't drive unpredictable and dive in and jam on the brakes hard, drive a smooth follow run so your actions/corrections don't propagate down the drift train.

    • @ChrisDrift
      @ChrisDrift 6 років тому +2

      yeah biggest thing that helped me with chasing is starting your transition a little before the lead car. In reality it ends up being at about the same time, but the fact that you start thinking about it and getting the car ready for it just before you think you should helps a lot for me

    • @chelseadenofa
      @chelseadenofa  6 років тому +9

      If you have the right placement you can wait and let them transition then drive back in. Transitioning at the same time only works if you have a gap between the two cars. If your on their door you have to give up then transition

    Just saw this video for the first time and I gotta say, as someone that's coming from sim a lot holds true. However the idea about chasing the rear of the car versus the door of the car made SO MUCH SENSE. On sim, you can just go back to pits and then you're off again. In real life you gotta help your buddy fix his broken s*** and potentially fix your broken s*** too. Thanks for the incredible tips, can't wait to bring my car out to my first grass roots event (RIP PARC) haha.

    Can anybody answer my question? So let’s say your on topppp of somebody’s door, basically tapping. What’s the best way to slow down to give room for transition? Handbrake, left foot brake, or just letting off throttle? Would it depend on the situation? Or a mixture of any of the 3?

    • @chelseadenofa
      @chelseadenofa  2 місяці тому

      If you’re gaining slowly left foot brake, if you’re gaining rapidly hand brake, if you’re closing very fast both foot and brake.
      For giving room for transition breathing early to let them cross in front of you. Then blast on the throttle as soon as your bumper is clear
