  • Lucy organizes a Revolutionary Day Celebration, including a statue dedication. Ricky is going to give the dedication speech. Lucy accidentally breaks the statue and decides to step in with stone makeup to take its place for the ceremony.
"I Love Lucy" is an iconic American television sitcom that originally aired from 1951 to 1957. The show starred Lucille Ball as Lucy Ricardo, Desi Arnaz as her husband Ricky Ricardo, and their neighbors and best friends, Fred and Ethel Mertz, played by William Frawley and Vivian Vance.
The show is centered around the life of Lucy Ricardo, a zany housewife with a knack for getting herself into comical predicaments, often involving her attempts to break into show business, much to the chagrin of her bandleader husband, Ricky. The chemistry between the cast and the innovative use of a three-camera setup with a live studio audience contributed to the show's massive success.
"I Love Lucy" is credited with pioneering many elements of modern television comedy, including physical comedy and slapstick humor. It also broke new ground in television history by portraying an interracial marriage between Lucy and Ricky, who were married in real life as well. The show's legacy continues to influence sitcoms today, and it remains beloved by fans for its timeless humor and memorable moments.

Continuity person should've caught that incorrect statement that they got Fred from pound! Little Ricky brought him home from a friend's house in New York! 😉

Yep, that's right. Then a few months later (1957-58 TV season), this fabulous foursome did the sequel, monthly, series called "The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour". Which lasted until March of 1960.
