I don't hunt notes, but do check mine before handing out, just in case. I need a Rennicks book before I even consider note hunting, currently flying blind.

first two numbers tell you the year. So CD18xxxxx is a 2018 note.
I found a new $10 note first prefix AA, its also a semi solid number with 4 9's! how much value does that have?

Hey mate, I been wondering how to tell a notes release. Late last year I ended up with a 2020 20cent piece and started looking for a 2020 $20 redback and wanted to get them both coin and note mounted sealed airtight as collectibles for my 8month old grandson who was born midyear last year. I figure with 2020 being the memorable nightmare year it was, having the Australian currency's 2020 20's as collectibles a good investment for the young fella. Can you clarify this and point me in the right direction.
Fairly certain that there were no $20 notes made in 2020. The way to tell the date is by the first 2 numbers after the prefix

Dont open the roll has more value! I found an individual coin and they're going for $15. Was looking at the rolls too and they're already going for over $200! Also how did you find the rolls? Didn't you buy them?

@@nicholask2760 , I don't believe they would know how many were in the roll unless they undid it. It may be possible that they are all the same special coin though.

Currently in New York for a few more days before heading to Washington. Fly to San Francisco, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas and the finish in LA for the last 10 day. Visiting the 911 site at the moment.

Yes, I'm a bit late with my reply but most definitely keep any new fifties.
There's a spelling mistake in the micro printing and these notes will all be destroyed.
I've noticed now that I no longer see the new ones because I believe that they are already being withdrawn from circulation and destroyed.
Unfortunately I only kept one for my collection

@@ravern19 . Yes, according to the RAM these notes will be dribbled out when needed but I haven't seen a single one for some time.
They claim it's not that big a deal.
Which it isn't but at the same time it doesn't cost them anything to destroy them and start again because we pay the bills
