I've seen this joke before
As a guy who lives in Zimbabwe, my parents always say "back in the day, bread was a million dollars
The first trillionares would've been in Zimbabwe, but that would've been equal to £1 or less.
Our economy is being broken deliberately. Our leaders have been making very reckless decisions for a long time, and now we all get to suffer the consequences. Given the pace at which things are spinning out of control, within a few short months we may find ourselves in the middle of a deep recession, a stock market meltdown, and a housing crash that'll be unlike anything we've ever seen. what moves can we make to generate more income because I can’t afford to see my savings of about $320k turn to dust
At this point, everyone can see that we're officially entering another devastating economic downturn that can erupt a lot sooner than previously expected. Financial and economic losses are rising to the tune of trillions of dollars with each passing month.
Avoid too-good-to-be-true scam schemes. Seek advice from a fiduciary counselor they provide personalized advice to individuals based on their risk appetite, placing them among the best of the best. There are bad ones, but some with good track records can be very good.
@@GarrettDills I agree. Based on firsthand encounter with a fiduciary counselor KATHERINE DUFFY BURKE, i have $385k in a well diversified portfolio which has grown by 3x with compounding, venturing doesn’t necessarily boil down to money but you also have to be informed, be patient and back it up with good hands

What about the Hungarians in 1946?
When I was in high school circa 1990, one of my friends went on a school trip to Poland. They were having a slightly less epic hyperinflation event at the time (they ended up doing a 10,000-to-1 redenomination of the złoty a few years later), and I remember my friend came back with a 1-million-złoty bill. It wasn't _completely_ worthless, but at the exchange rate in effect at the time he was there, it had cost him something like $20, which he figured was worth it to be able to tell people he was a millionaire. :)
i am from Poland and barely remember this period as i was just a few years old. New banknotes started appearing in 1994 but old ones were legal tenders until about 1998 I think (with their 1:10000 conversion ratio). Hyperinflation was stopped in about 1992-3, it remained in double digits until 2000-ish but it was a far cry from 1989-1990 craziness. Even though getting salaries in the millions (a common salary in mid-1990's was about 10 million old PLN or 1000 new PLN) was pretty short-lived people got used to it and liked it. They were often expressing their income / spending in millions well into the 2000's.
The bad side of high inflation was running out of money before you'll receive your next paycheck. Normally people were used to living on a monthly wage and could plan their spending, but when this inflation came into place this was no longer possible. You realized that it's still 10 days to next paycheck and you ran out of money. You have nothing left, not even for a single pack of cigs or loaf of bread. People started demanding employers to pay them twice a month or even once a week. At least we didn't reached completely uncontrolled inflation levels like Germany in 1923 or Hungary in 1946. In those cases prices were doubling every few hours. Currency was completely useless and people were paid in raw goods instead.
If WE had a dollar for everytime WE’ve been told in the last three years that the monies ( RV ) going through this week or next week or this weekend, or Monday, we would all be millionaires right now. The new war will serve as another excuse to KEEP the RV from happening.
My teacher told me to do a paragraph about hyperflation so I used this vid as a example thx you man 👍

He went to local exchange office to sell some 50 West German Marks (this was in like eighties). My aunt told him, he absolutely has to take something to carry his money around. Like a plastic bag... or three. Well, she was right. Dad claims to this day, to have brought back about fifteen kilo worth of money.

Shrimpshot Yeah so true
Yep
Then our pal with the big H came and stables the economy

More like fall if rhodesia
If the notes have fallen out of use, then has their rate of production also decreased to less than what it was before or even stopped? If so will the value of older notes increase as more and more of them are lost or destroyed
This is really good!! Specificially the part where you said that hyperinflation specificially happens when the amount of money risings when the number of assets or goods don't. Some economics channels miss that!!
If you assign the money a task on the board then its value doesn't fall, this when economic stimuluses work, as long as that is in your country and not to pay debts to other countries, and then you end up like the Wemiar Republic.

“Print more money”
Weimar Republic in a nutshell
The editing style is really cool and i like it😄
Before I saw this video I had absolutely not idea what inflation was thank you so much!
Toilets paper only to be used in toilet
No cardboard
No cloth
No newspaper
No ZIMBABWE DOLLARS..
An anecdote that there was more paper in the Zim money needed to buy a package of toilet paper than there was in the toilet paper.
Centredoorplugs Thornton A real description note I saw in the museum when I was young: "The post-WWII inflation is so high that moeny became worthless. People used 5-yuan bills to make paper fans."
When printing money doesn't work:

That’s how you get cancer from ink fumes
Every single time I watch I get goosebumps
I really like this video you really explain it very well that anyone can understand it🤩
Im Zimbabwean and I actually lived this
OOF
Ayyy gang
How long does that last?
Go to an other country and you will be super rich
@AYUSHMAN PARIDA he was just joking mate
This reminds me of a time I was at my grandparents house and they had a "$1,000,000" dollar bill on a pin board and I contemplated stealing it and thought I would be rich
I wonder how the would react if they saw it missing
@@loganbuckley2010 Hahaha
@@loganbuckley2010 “eh its only a dollar”
in germany after the first world war There was also hyperinflation because of that now we have the most expensive bridge in germany wich costs about a trillion/billon German mark
that 100 trillion dollar note is $327. i bet its worth 10 cents in Zimbabwe. they must be making a fortune off these.
Could I sell Zimbabwe notes as “paper” and get more profit than actually using the notes?
Sell it as toys to kids
@@crytexk102 okay thats smart
Do origami with it and sell it for more than it's own worth
smartest idea ever
You can sell them to collectors then you might get some value

Zimbabwe guy: Yes

Why are there comments like this which don’t have the sentence add up
This dead meme is not funny it's actually stupid
1 trillion sir
@Okiee Komedija i igrice I ja hahahah
I’d love one of these banknotes in crisp uncirculated condition for my collection!
As a 🇿🇼, I am glad to have 'em all.
