This is such a good video. Don’t forget to take those bolts out that are hard to see, pay attention to which bolts he’s talking about. Once the bolts are out, you really gotta yank that sucker, don’t use a pry tool around the edges like I’ve seen on every fit. It just fucks up that super soft edge. I’ve seen it on every fit. Don’t pry. Yank from the bottom and work up, there’s clips on both sides, sometimes not exactly even. Sometimes they are stuck. And if you leave the bolts in you’ll be yanking to no avail.
Awesome..thank you… I didn’t know about the glove box lid thing, to disconnect those cables inside, and to get the console out, I had to unscrew and detach the white aircon and fan controls… Ok until the last screw which took me a couple hours, and had to sacrifice a screw driver to make up a special tool… Will be much easier to put back together again now after watching this… In Australia, the Fit is called a Jazz, and in Europe is called something else..if you edited the heading of your clip to have Fit/Jazz/Etc, would likely get many more hits..?? It deserves it…
Nice video. My radio did not come out like that I ended up breaking the old radio out from the top those clips said nope staying here. But it was a replacement so oh well
You left out the part how the bolts are up inside of it, due to lack of information my screws had got bent, and i literally had to cut the entire thing out of my car to get out the stereo which took 4 hours... thanks alot man!
At 4:15 in the video, I tried to show the location of the 2x 8mm bolts that are deep up within radio mount. On my car, someone had previously left those bolts out so they weren’t there, but this I did say and try to show it.

Thanks for the tip with pressing down the white plastic
This video worked great for me! Thank you!
The unit seemed to have enough space to release without releasing the cables controlling the heater?
It did not just pop out how tf did you pull it
helped me fix the hot/cold knob on my fit. thanks!

Does it make a difference if the average button is on the left vs the ac button being on the right?
Do you get any codes for not using the stock stereo?
Thanks dude, was about to lose my shit trying to rip the blower control out 😅
