- The Call of Duty franchise is the same franchise that MrBeast, Hollow and FaZe first created videos on. Call of Duty 10 years ago was considered to be at its peak with the release of Black Ops 2. However, with the overwhelming negative reviews of Modern Warfare 3. We are going to look into what Activision have done to ruin their reputation of their best franchise.

Everybody gonna hate me for this but the last good COD game was BO2 (MW 2019 for me was the last good COD but the titles between BO2 and MW 2019 sucked ass) and everything after 2019 is just a worse reskin.

Cold War's campaign was way better.
You are correct but acc to me last good cod was I think ww2 I liked black ops cold war but I am tired of getting sequels based on sequels of the mainline entries. C mon Activision deliver us like black ops 5 , advanced warfare 2 ,mw4. Cold war was sequel to black ops 1 and now I find out gulf war is going to be a black ops 2 sequel.🤦
3:24 Man, it really sucks when you have a DLC that your friends don't have, because they understandably don't want to give 15$, and it feels as if neither of you can play the map - since you can't play together.

How poor the game is. This franchise will never die because there are still some fraction of people who have excessive money bucks in their a** will always pay no matter how shitty the game is.
Safe bet strategy only became an issue after COD started sucking. The confusion that new is always better and the contrived need for constant change is what killed the franchise. COD was originally a game about honoring soldiers who fought in historic wars. Once they broke away from that paradigm COD became increasingly stupid and fantastical such to the extent that they all boil down to some Tom Clancy esq super soldier squad taking down some legion of super bad guys who are trying to destroy the world or whatever. COD never needed a story because history was the story, everything else could be relegated to the loading screen or to the imagination. If Activision had stuck to improving on the original formula and extrapolated it onto other 20th century wars then COD would still be great. Like imagine a COD Vietnam that was actually about the experience of a soldier in the Vietnam war and not about some fake black ops war against a secret communist legion of doom out to gas the planet. I want a COD that is actually dedicated to historicity and war again.

@@ricardoavacado3901 i mean they all have somewhat decent gameplay but the stories are like straight out of my middle school fantasies and therefore are not good at all. Theres a time and place for spec ops. The COD engine is absolutely not geared for that type of gameplay, in the most rigorous sense, so it’s all dumbed down and retarded compared to any tailor made spec ops game like splinter cell, ghost recon, MGS, etc… All you get in COD is “press B” now “press X” now “move over to that guy press R3 and watch the cutscene” and “kill 50 enemies by yourself”, its just dumb and basic like an arcade game.
@@Ashurbanipal7446 I disagree with your "unrealistic/fictional campaigns are bad" point. Is Batman stupid? No. There can still be "hero elements" in CoD campaigns, and maybe you're right that the realism side is malnourished, but just because there's an operator squad "superweapon" that nobody's ever heard of before that the government wants to keep secret from their enemies in a campaign doesn't mean it's dumb.
@@ricardoavacado3901 i don’t think batman is dumb but i don’t find it particularly interesting anymore. It is not super weapons that make the cod campaigns bad or ahistorical. The nuclear bomb was a secret super weapon too. What makes the campaign’s suck to me is the awful fantastical stories, which are more like a hollywood thriller than a real war, that i have no interest in paying attention to at all. I love the original modern warfare games but the story got progressively worse till 3, up to the point where it became incredibly dumb. The same is true with Black ops. The OG Black ops was cool but it became downright stupid and fantastical as the series grew. Personally id rather have had a real cold war game and not made up stuff but to each their own. I prefer the historical and impersonal approach of the older games because war games are fun. Don’t get me wrong i enjoy spec ops or super soldier type games (namely splinter cell, ghost recon, metal gear solid etc) but those franchises are tailor built to play well under those conditions. COD just isn’t because its like a run and gun arcade shooter, so something like Ghosts just absolutely pales in comparison to a real spec ops game. To me, COD is clearly superior when it sticks to it’s roots.

As much as i want to believe it, my friends are still obsessed and dumping money into it for skins, guns and battle pass. This is why COD wins...

At this point its all about Which one sucks and which one doesnt.
The toxic play environment between players it what started the ball rolling. Activation tried a merg with Bliz but Bliz was in the process of destroying its own self with toxic elitism among a sparce 8-10% of top end players. The bread and butter subscribers started dropping off which is why now that microsoft turned their anchor game wow back around where regular players are subscribing again they proceeded to can everyone at the top directly tied to the BfA and SL expansions.
The best thing they ever did was to stop only accenting top teir raid, dungeon, and tournaments and instead focus on features and game play appealing to a more general casual player.
If they want to pull CoD up they will start permanently banning truly toxic players, insert features the common player wants, along with events geared more for the low and mid skill player, and finally Put much less time and money into tournaments and more into writers and designers.

I don’t mind micro transactions. But you can tell the devs got lazy by making the game by being money hungry. The game is not really a call of duty game with ridiculous skins. SBMM mest the game up and pay to win skins.

i know alot of people will disagree with me, but i geniunely really liked the MWIII campaign. i know it may have its downsides, but I enjoyed it.

MW3 Multiplayers is better than ever like i said. if you guys played MW1 or MW2 you would know what i mean.
- SBMM : We know more about it than ever... that doesnt make MW3 the most SBMM based cod, it just says what they did the other years ago...
- TTK (TIME TO KILL) : Since the start of MW1 (REMASTERED) there was a insane time to kill where you die instantly in MW3 you have the best Gunfights since BO3 BO4
- MAPS : Maps are not the best i must agree with that. But when i think about traiding the maps for the old time to kill i 100% wouldn't do that.
