A superhero movie directed by Ewe Boll , produced by Michael Bay distributed by Sony. Which is the sequel to Pixels. 🤨 Maybe have Zack Snyder do something too.
I think we can all agree that Michael Chiklis as the thing was spot on. He was actually the only actor with actual knowledge of the Fantastic Four comics and was a die-hard fan of the Thing. He fought hard for a practical suit instead of a CGI one.

To be fair, the Fantastic 4 didn't really focus on crime fighting too much in the comics, but more on the themes of family and exploration, kinda like how Spiderman focused on growing up and Ironman focused on becoming a better man.
+Nighthawk Hawk That ended after a few years when Jane Foster was thrown out and Sif was brought in. The FF were explorers. They discovered lost civilizations like the Inhumans and the Mole Man''s monsters, and uncovered alien activity on Earth from races like the Skrulls and the Kree. And the first alternate dimension in the Marvel Universe, the Negative Zone. They also tended to fight mad scientists like Dr. Doom, the Wizard, and the Mad Thinker a lot.
I really did feel bad for Ben. Being turned into a rock monster really was a terrible experience. His fiancee stopped loving him, the gang's fans were somewhat skeptical about him initially, he got embarssed when his weight prevented the elevator from going up, Johnny was somewhat of a prick to him, and was given an initially rather insulting super hero name without his consent. It's scarcely any wonder he wasn't happy that Reed wasn't putting much effort into fixing the machine

Yes! That's the key element of the Fantastic Four that distinguishes them from other Marvel characters. They are a group of explorers and scientists first then crime-fighters when needed.
Black Ninja same here. Most people were just mad because it wasn’t the typical balls-to-the-wall action flick they wanted it to be. When I was little this, Superman Returns, and BATMAN AND ROBIN where some of my favorite superhero films. It was only until I saw Iron Man that I realized I was an idiot.
Quint Dunaway I think it's because, as kids, we were satisfied with "THINGS! EXCITEMENT! MOTION!", but then get exposed to more cerebral things and don't need to watch things constantly just happen to be entertained, like in Iron Man. (which then leads us to see why the two sequels never live up to the first one...)
To be fair, the Fantastic Four were never about "crime fighting" per say. They were always more explorers/scientists than superheros though they do have their fair share of villains.
To be honest though, I think it might have been a good movie even without crimefighting. It could have been about the four doofuses who have got some powers out of nowhere and a responsibility that they have never asked for, and them coming to terms with it would, I believe, make a great story.
Well, to be fair, the Fantastic Four are explorers and don't really care for doing hero stuff (save Johnny). In the comics, they're always out in deep space or some parallel dimension or they're at home doing science stuff. They only fight crime because they just happen to get caught up in superhero stuff. It's somewhat our fault for expecting every superhero movie to have crime fighting when every comic book doesn't have crime fighting in it. The Four do indeed spend a lot of time sitting around.
Shady Doorags Poor excuse, because they always have to end up doing hero things to save the day. Your feeble argument doesnt make this piece of shit movie any better.
Smokey McJoint theres a lot of ways to play superhero other than just fighting crime. if you one tiny iota about the fantastic four youd get how oants-on-head retarded your comment is
Shady Doorags And the first issue did have the ones from movies, especially the one where The Thing started a panick in New York and even destroying roads in the process. And they did hero stuff like stopping monsters and Eldritch abomination, not to mention allying with Avengers and Spiderman.
*throws boomerang* Boomerang always comes back. If you happen to duck . . . . *metalbends armor chest plate around head right before explosion* Never, ever, try to fight a Beifong.
TheSufferingDarkness it was more of trying to help his family and shit like that. I don't remember that well. Sometimes the best villains aren't always the evilist.
+Daniel „Hero's Apprentice's Brick“ Scharn as far as i got it his motivation for his deeds is literally because he wants to save the world and humanity. i agree. he is a badass and i would be happy when they make a movie just about doom and his rise to power. and after 3 ff movies i would suggest that the ff fuck off and the movie would be just about doom.
I agree. We need a doom movie, because if we're getting a Black Panther film yet not a Black Widow movie, we should get a good Doom movie for every bad FF movie
WAAAAIIIITTTT!!!! The original meaning for "Doom" wasn't negative, it meant more along the lines of "Fate". However, over the centuries it was corrupted into a negative meaning since Fate is usually shitty. So having a family name of von Doom isn't that much of a stretch, since it could have meant something along the lines of "of Fate", perhaps stemming from when the family gained wealth or fame through fate (although it would have been much more likely to ascribe it to God instead of Fate). So the name of von Doom isn't _impossible_, just absurdly unlikely.
Victor von doom is one of the greatest comic book villains of all times. His villain name is literally his real name, dr. Doom. He is the leader of a European country and has diplomatic immunity. That doesn't even include the fact that he has magic powers that can beat the avengers
I'm sorry but, I love this movie! It came out when I was little and my family and I loved watching it! I didn't focus on the logic but the coolness of it!
Except ot failed at that by just them sitting around most of the film rather than doing anything useful or fun, silver surfer fixed it a little but still failed again...
+Omnicidal Clown It wasn''t very good even at the time, but at least it was a fun ride and a guilty pleasure to many. The last one was absolutely garbage and lame, with terrible acting, pacing and an even worse Doctor Doom.
"I'm so the Watcher. Jeez, Nostalgia Critic called it LONG before it became a fan theory. I mean I didn't even hear fans considering the fact that he was the watcher until Civil War came out and this was a year before that I applaud you nostalgia critic.
Well this isn't the first time he added a ATLA reference in a video not related to it. The "My Cabbages" quote is heard in the Stephen King Mini-Series when Malcolm jumped out the window when Critic acts like Jack Torrence.
The Fantastic Four aren't crime fighting superheroes. That's not what they do. They're a family of explorers and scientists. They research and only fight whenever they HAVE to. As in when Doom or Mole Man or Annihilus attack. They don't save people from street thugs and rescue cats out of trees, that's what Spider-Man and The Avengers are for.
Well considering the picture he showed was from shortly after his first Super Saiyan transformation which was triggered by Goku's rage at the death of Krillin, I believe he was getting at the fact that the Super Saiyan transformation is powered by emotion.
It's a Saiyan trait but it works better for Gohan Goten and Trunks because they are half human so their emotions are not repressed by their genetics like Goku and Vegetas. When Goku and Vegeta get peak angry they get stronger too, but Gohan feels a lot more than they do and hes a gentle person in the first place.
6:19 Victor: I have four words. Reed: The cloud is accelerating!! "Will you marry me? (4 words) and The cloud is accelerating!! (4 words)" Me: Holy shit, how did I not notice that the first time??? XD
Wait, Matilda's powers weren't tied to her emotions. She got telekinesis due to her brain simply having _nothing else to do,_ and went away once she finally got to tackle challenging material instead of simple and meaningless tripe.
Kyle Krazer I'd say there's a difference between an emotional outburst involving one's powers, and them being _based_ on their emotions; she figures out how to finely control them pretty quickly. (I'm going by the book on this, I barely remember the movie)
Willie Lumpkin was a character Stan tried to sell as a comic strip in the 1950s. In the 1960s he decided to toss him into Fantastic Four to keep him from being completely forgotten.
Seriously? First off there were only two before this one. This one and it's sequel. The one made before these two was never released, it doesn't count. And the new one makes these two films look like masterpieces. The new one was an inexcusable mess of a film. If you find the new one better, something's really wrong with you.
+YTWarrior100 the unreleased has been on the internet for awhile has been by a thousands of people maybe more sense I seen it I still count it. anyways 05 the actors were horrible in that one except chris Evans. the thing makeup looked horrible It was trying way to hard to be funny and ever joked fell flat. sue storm was way to young to be dating reed and jessica alba was fucking horrible in that film.
fran zamor They still were better than the actors in the new film. The actors in this film were at least trying. And Thing was naked in the new film. Enough said.
+YTWarrior100 Michael b jordan and the father forgot the actors name made the film watchable for me I thing at least looks like a monster made of rock instead of the 05 which looks like a monster made out of clay. the friendship of reed and ben was better in the 15 instead of the 05
5:29 you’re right in endgame he did manage to escape where tony tried to go upstairs but hulk burst shouting no stairs Can this movie be a prequel could it be a episode of the upcoming Loki Disney+ series Oh yeah a little word of advice marvel GIVE US JOHN KRASANSKI AND EMILY BLUNT AS REED RICHARDS AND THE INVISIBLE WOMAN!!!
At 14:00, it's funny that the Critic would make fun of Jessica Alba's age, considering that she's older than he is (and he was already in his twenties when this movie came out).
That “blind lady” might have been based on Alicia from the comics. Or at least a nod/reference to her. Since her first appearance in issue #8, Alicia served as a recurring ally to the F4 and she and the Thing even develop something of a relationship.
8:55 The Man of Steel DID save Metropolis. Zod was trying to destroy it, and in fact the damage to the city was by Zod, who took one of the World Changers there. The military showed up to fight Zod in Metropolis, too. In this scene of F4, Grimm actively causes much more death and chaos than would have been without his involvement. That is not the case in Man of Steel. I seriously don't understand why anyone says Superman destroyed Metropolis. :/
After re watching Fantastic 4 (2005) on Disney+, I’m sorry I still like it from when I was a little. Ok it was goofy, but it still had some funny moments and the effects and action were fine. Marvel announced a while ago that they’re rebooting the Fantastic 4 in 2022. I do hope we get a more serious Fantastic 4 movie. Until then, I’ll take the 2005 version over the 2015 version any day.
The funny thing is that in the comics Doom hates Reed because Doom fucked up and ruined his business and he refuses to accept it and projects it onto Reed. In here...him kicked out of his own company kind of IS Reed's fault. I mean Reed's data being bad is the reason the space mission went tits up and that's what got him thrown out.
What business? Victor was pissed at Reed because he thought he sabotaged his science project, which caused an explosion that left him scarred and expelled from the school.
+Dakota Nelson He was trying to contact the spirit of his mother. He made an error in his calculations. Reed tried to fix it and Doom told him to get out because he never made mistakes. So when it exploded his ego convinced him Reed must have tampered with his calculations. There's a much later story claiming it actually was sabotaged by Ben Grimm, but that was during the time that the series was badly failing and they were trying anything they could think of to improve sales. Anything, that is, except actually making the stories good.
It looks like Doug has a bad sunburn here. Also, why is Jessica Alba wearing a star of david at 18:22? I also read that apparently she was directed to have a very flat affect and that they'd "add tears in post" or something like that. She wasn't treated very well here.
geargrinder87 Because Sony is really desperate right now. They are losing money and the financial and critical failure of Amazing Spider-man 2 pushed them into this situation. Fox on the other hand don't give a shit.
C'mon, it not a great movie and is a bit cringy but you got to admit the characters are developed well, Doom is menacing and better then the new one, and they have a strong character dynamic. No where near as terrible as Fant4stic.
I do too. While there was little crime fighting, I thought they treated what it would be like if four people suddenly had powers. And I doubt everyone would suddenly become crime-fighters after getting powers.
The newer one was OK, a bit more serious I guess. This version was campier and light-hearted, but maybe that's what they were going for. For what it is, I liked this version.

Nope, that title belongs to The Incredibles...and it's not even a Fantastic Four movie, go to figure that one out :S
There not four heroes but five.
same concept though

When I was little this, Superman Returns, and BATMAN AND ROBIN where some of my favorite superhero films. It was only until I saw Iron Man that I realized I was an idiot.
That comment combined with the profile picture made me fucking DIE!

Just to ruin it, I gave it the 70th like.
Well this was better than fan4stic by 110% anyday

To be fair, the Fantastic Four were never about "crime fighting" per say. They were always more explorers/scientists than superheros though they do have their fair share of villains.
2:11 I love how the three seashell thingy is still on the board.
Today on UA-camrs I didn't expect to see on others UA-camr's comments section.
To be honest though, I think it might have been a good movie even without crimefighting. It could have been about the four doofuses who have got some powers out of nowhere and a responsibility that they have never asked for, and them coming to terms with it would, I believe, make a great story.
Fan4stic tried doing that, but we all know where that went.
It's called "Chronicle."
Shady Doorags
Poor excuse, because they always have to end up doing hero things to save the day.
+Shady Doorags This is because the series has been horribly mishandled in recent years, one of the reasons it was cancelled.
His name is DOOM!

These movies were shit. But you gotta admit either way: Victor Von Doom is a badass villain. (Mostly in the comics)
Though there is evidence in the comics that Doom isn't that evil
TheSufferingDarkness it was more of trying to help his family and shit like that. I don't remember that well.
Sometimes the best villains aren't always the evilist.
+Daniel „Hero's Apprentice's Brick“ Scharn
as far as i got it his motivation for his deeds is literally because he wants to save the world and humanity.
i agree. he is a badass and i would be happy when they make a movie just about doom and his rise to power.
and after 3 ff movies i would suggest that the ff fuck off and the movie would be just about doom.
I agree. We need a doom movie, because if we're getting a Black Panther film yet not a Black Widow movie, we should get a good Doom movie for every bad FF movie
+Daniel “Hero's Apprentice's Brick” Scharn He wasn't that bad in this movie either. At least they got the costume right, and he was fairly sinister.
11:31 I'm not giving the film credit, but it could be because Reed has been said to be on the sprecturm. It's believed by a few that he's an Aspie.
Anyone else think Critic's hero name shouldve been FingerBang??? I mean cmon.

If they actually knew and cared about that in the film, it might have been an interesting dynamic. "It's only inevitable, Reed, as predicted by fate."
+K-C Rhoder IN THE YEEEAAAR 2016!! I'M GONNA SING THE FATE SONG NOW
Also weird originally meant fate.
+Kellosian So his name literally means Victor of Fate?
Hershel Layton
Kinda, if you use an old definition. Like Middle Ages old.
I didn't focus on the logic but the coolness of it!
me too. even know when i acknoledge that is not the ebst movie is still a good one
Except ot failed at that by just them sitting around most of the film rather than doing anything useful or fun, silver surfer fixed it a little but still failed again...

I still think this Fantastic 4 is better than the latest Fantastic 4 movie.
+Omnicidal Clown A lot of people do
+Omnicidal Clown It wasn''t very good even at the time, but at least it was a fun ride and a guilty pleasure to many. The last one was absolutely garbage and lame, with terrible acting, pacing and an even worse Doctor Doom.
+Omnicidal Clown Yeah, we can call this the "good" Fantastic Four movie now.
+Omnicidal Clown Is there actually any Fantastic-ing going on in that one?
The Roger Corman film looks pretty good compared to the new one.
Play the video game version of this movie and you'll see what was missing, heck even Nick Fury was in the game
Even the final fight with Dr Doom was better in the game
"I'm so the Watcher. Jeez, Nostalgia Critic called it LONG before it became a fan theory. I mean I didn't even hear fans considering the fact that he was the watcher until Civil War came out and this was a year before that I applaud you nostalgia critic.
I just started cracking up web Nostalgia's name was "Sparky Sparky Boom Man" classic avatar reference!
Well this isn't the first time he added a ATLA reference in a video not related to it. The "My Cabbages" quote is heard in the Stephen King Mini-Series when Malcolm jumped out the window when Critic acts like Jack Torrence.
I know about that too! XD
Ace Fenton sparky sparky boom man is the only tru name ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
The Fantastic Four aren't crime fighting superheroes. That's not what they do. They're a family of explorers and scientists. They research and only fight whenever they HAVE to. As in when Doom or Mole Man or Annihilus attack. They don't save people from street thugs and rescue cats out of trees, that's what Spider-Man and The Avengers are for.
True, but then why don't they let them go on adventures, instead of sitting around?
They did go on an adventure... in space. It was only their first movie and they had to research themselves first.
+Purnell Collins They could have done that quicker. Don't make the entire movie the build up
they saved the day quite a bit in the comics...and kittens:)
Unfortunately, this movie did that neither so that point's kind of moot.
4:48 Hey, at least he is qualified to be Captain America!
The "old" 2 FF films were Masterpieces compared to the Reboot. The new FF was so bad they didnt even bother with a Sequel.
I agree. I am trying to make memes off of the Tim Story films.
You know sometimes when they make a sequel to a bad movie they tried to redeem their selves to make it better than the last one
You know what? There should be a superhero that fights by turning things into video game characters.
Eric Hardeman Static Shock villain
Actually, Gohan is the one who draws his power from his emotions; not Goku.
Neeeeeeeeeeeerd!!!!!!
Yeah but he showed super saiyan which you get by getting angry

Wait, Matilda's powers weren't tied to her emotions. She got telekinesis due to her brain simply having _nothing else to do,_ and went away once she finally got to tackle challenging material instead of simple and meaningless tripe.
They kind of were. You saw that look before she destroyed that TV.
Kyle Krazer I'd say there's a difference between an emotional outburst involving one's powers, and them being _based_ on their emotions; she figures out how to finely control them pretty quickly.
(I'm going by the book on this, I barely remember the movie)
Think he's talking about movie Matilda.
Wait so advanced math is her weakness
Well that sucks
+Al Malone Let's be honest, we all have that as a weakness too
Stan lee plays a mailman in this movie and a delivery man in civil war, huh
Same character maybe?
Willie Lumpkin was a character Stan tried to sell as a comic strip in the 1950s. In the 1960s he decided to toss him into Fantastic Four to keep him from being completely forgotten.
+Nightmare Tomb Plus Willie looked exactly like Stan Lee.
The artist that created Dr. Sivana for Captain Marvel looked just like Sivana when he passed away.
Hmmmmmmmmm...
It's better than the new one
So the critic's super power is summoning explosions? Sounds more like Michael Bay to me, but I'll just roll with it.
2:30 and it did suck. it sucked badly
still find it better than the first three
+YTWarrior100 Michael b jordan and the father forgot the actors name made the film watchable for me I thing at least looks like a monster made of rock instead of the 05 which looks like a monster made out of clay. the friendship of reed and ben was better in the 15 instead of the 05
You should review the new one. It's REALLY bad, mainly because it's boring and the writer sounds like they have social troubles.
Not to mention it's stupid villain and final battle that has like one minute of fighting
5:29 you’re right in endgame he did manage to escape where tony tried to go upstairs but hulk burst shouting no stairs
Can this movie be a prequel could it be a episode of the upcoming Loki Disney+ series
Oh yeah a little word of advice marvel
GIVE US JOHN KRASANSKI AND EMILY BLUNT AS REED RICHARDS AND THE INVISIBLE WOMAN!!!
At 14:00, it's funny that the Critic would make fun of Jessica Alba's age, considering that she's older than he is (and he was already in his twenties when this movie came out).
😏With that being said, 😠Does this actress even know the difference between girl and a woman? 😡IT'S LITERALLY THE EXACT SAME GENDER!!
Critic's power sounds like something Michael Bay wish he had.
Well he loved the name Sokka gave that guy in The Last Airbender
Alex-Zander Browne he does
If Michael Bay had that, he would die of dehydration.
"A person whose power is tied to their emotion? I have never seen that." I've seen a person like that. Her name was Raven.
Or Starfire from the cartoon.
+Corey Pack Marvel's main character that had to control her emotions is Storm.
What about Elsa from Frozen, or Jack Frost from 2012's Rise of the Guardians (the personification of Winter)?
That “blind lady” might have been based on Alicia from the comics. Or at least a nod/reference to her. Since her first appearance in issue #8, Alicia served as a recurring ally to the F4 and she and the Thing even develop something of a relationship.
They even got married in recent years and adopted alien children!
I shat when I saw the Akira reference. I fucking love that movie.
Quadroblitz Where? XD
Shenron When he was sarcastically remarking that the Invisible Woman's powers are linked to emotion.

The only accurate thing about Doom here is him hating Reed.
Also the irony of the actor who played in Titanic being frozen in ice.

Jon Watts is directing the F4 reboot in the MCU. I have high hopes.
I just hope they don't go the same route as the 2015 version
8:49 I saw that Man of Steel joke coming from a mile away. lol

This movie is actually a guilty pleasure of mine. I saw this movie as a kid and love it then. I guess I just have a soft spot for this movie.
+Ronald M Isn't there a moment where he actually makes it to hell to see his mother and it turns out she wanted to stay with Mephisto in hell?
Marvel wiki says she rejected her son's attempts to free her and somehow that released her soul to choose a better afterlife.
Thatis in Triumph and torment when Docotr doom all but asks Dr. Strange's help to free her.
I actually like this version of the Fantastic 4. A guilty pleasure, I guess!
Same here.
I used to like it.

@@jalencampbell8807 tbf, the 1994 unreleased film was better than the shitshow that is Fant4stic.

I wanna see an entire movie about the adequately impressive three
But all they're gonna do is watch Daredevil and Jessica Jones on Netflix
It looks like Doug has a bad sunburn here.
Also, why is Jessica Alba wearing a star of david at 18:22? I also read that apparently she was directed to have a very flat affect and that they'd "add tears in post" or something like that. She wasn't treated very well here.
Why are the Fantastic Four cursed to never get a good movie?
geargrinder87 Because Marvel doesn't have the movie rights to them.
So why doesn't Marvel just buy the rights back? And why not do the same thing with X-Men, Spider-Man, and all their other characters?
geargrinder87 Because Fox and Sony either refuse to sell the rights back or have jacked up the selling price too high. It's probably both.
And this is why we can't have a single, unified MCU. Thanks a lot, guys. At least Sony is being semi-reasonable with Spider-Man
geargrinder87 Because Sony is really desperate right now.
I hate to say this but I really enjoyed this movie and its sequel. At least it's better than the 2015 film.
Well at least we know he's right when he said that it would suck
+BRRGames I've always enjoyed this movie too but I've never actually seen the sequel though.
I do too. While there was little crime fighting, I thought they treated what it would be like if four people suddenly had powers. And I doubt everyone would suddenly become crime-fighters after getting powers.
summons explosions at will? Did that meteorite turn you into Michael Bay
I'm not a big FF fan but I know they don't take on street crime
Sooo, what are there enemies then?
WJZAV big things like Doctor Doom or other world threats

Wrong. We all know Galactus was some street punk and their greatest enemy was Kingpin
Jesus fucking Christ, they aren't crime fighters
They were more of explorers than justicers
14:09 "Time to go Street Fighter: Bonus Level" still kills me after all these years
2015 version made this version look good
To be fair, none of the three adaptation did that well
*2015*
The newer one was OK, a bit more serious I guess. This version was campier and light-hearted, but maybe that's what they were going for. For what it is, I liked this version.
Bets that when Doctor Doom appears in the MCU somebody is going to make fun of his incredibly obvious evil name.
-Ant Man, I am looking at you.
