I love Herschnerrs!! After ordering yarn from them many many times I told my husband I want to go on a road trip to check them out. Im only a couple of hundred miles away so away we went. It is quite the place! They have loads of yarn and they had part of their warehouse open with sale yarns. Of course I walked out with quite a dent in my bank account from getting yarn. Definately will go back and was well worth the trip. The staff was helpful and very kind. Thanks Herschnerr's!

My suggestion for your border is to make some of the blanket and see which color really pops out at you. Then use it for the border. My guess is that it will be one of the darker colors, possibly black. I hope you will show us the finished blanket even if you do not do a tutorial. I would like to see the finished product. I love Herschnerrs! I learned about them from Ross at Smells Like Yarn. So! I think it would be great if you combined the light Grey and tan into the border. Maybe try both in a double border with Grey on the inside. Herschnerr's yarns are really nice. Nice yardage, too.

I tried the Herrschner's Worsted Supreme just before Christmas. Oh myyy, I'm in love with it. One of the softest worsted yarns I ever worked with. anti-pilling. I think it's all acrylic.

My opinion, I think the grey would look great as a boarder for the New Years Eve blanket. I agree, I think Georgie would look like a King George in a sweater made of gold velvet. Fleckin’ hat & scarf set would be what I would do with the Modern Tweed flecked, even though you’d have to buy more-oh darn lol.
