A modern radio such as the FTDX-10 should support bluetooth mouse and keyboard and bluetooth headset. No excuse really, the technology isn't expensive.
Simple video but very informative. Thanks for posting. I like the idea that you can use a mouse to control the display. My TS990S can't do that. As a second radio, I'm really liking the FTDX10. It has a lot of neat features but that dumb 3D display is not one of them. That's got to be the dumbest feature I ever saw on a radio. Thank god the radio is not limited to that display. Barry, KU3X
@@aaronlabranche2977 Thanks for the swift reply. I am seeing that lots of folk are having trouble using the M310 with the FTDX10 tho. Is there a specific full model number or such info? Others have said the the dongle with the "orange star" printed on the body will not work?
@@richiemills7 I can't speak to any other hams having issues I haven't seen it mine was simple cost mr 15 bucks on amazon nothing more just my experience
@@aaronlabranche2977 Watched a video on UA-cam and the guy said a Logitech M185 worked as it was a lot cheaper than the M310 I bought it. Plugged the receiver into the FTdx10 and it does NOT work. In fact, it locks the rig up as none of the buttons work and you have to reboot the rig. Wired mouse works fine.
I was going to ask the same. Should be able to use the wheel to fine tune the frequency at least, if that makes sense. Anyway, cool video as always, love your setup. 73 - W8DBC

Well I have my 1200 love that . Miss 2 antenna ports but over all love the dx10 and 1200 is back up for now thinking maybe sell 1200 replace with 991a for pota and backup

Do you use only the RF gain to reduce the noise, because I saw your S-meter indicates a constant 7.

Logitech 310 is what a whole lot of people use....it works. Plug and play.

Did you just plug the included USB bluetooth receiver of the M310 into the back of the radio and it worked right out of the box?

Do firmware update and then it will accept any mouse.. just done mine & tested 2 wireless mice and both work.. now using Lenovo mouse

It's fussy I hear. Limited drivers in the dx10 by now I'm sure a hand full have been found to work I only know of this one...

The mouse scroll wheel now works with firmware version released in August 2023.
Ok so if you were hooked up to a monitor would the mouse show up on it. That would be really cool if I could control it that way.

@@aaronlabranche2977 The 991A is excellent for ancillary work; 2m for local nets, C4FM, FT8 and other digital modes and, as you suggest, back up HF.
