    I personally like magnet fishing and scavenging, and I would probably be able to make some cool things with the ‘rubbish’!

      Thanks for the sub , that beach was loaded with metal from the collapsed rubbish dump , you would definitely be able to make some cool things from all that variety of material

    Never been to Lyme Regis. Been to Charmouth a few times, really enjoy it there. Maybe one day I'll drive the extra few miles down the road! Again never been to seatown which is before Charmouth lol. Nice video anyways. Fossil hunting is a great adventure 👍

    I have a piece similar to the one you found with the wood, they probably washed up against that wood and then got covered, a great freeze-frame of the sea bed millions of years ago.

      For sure, all these fossils have their own unique story to tell from a time so long ago

    That's my local beach and I hope you kept the piece of wood-stone because that's what we local fossil hunters treasure above the pyrite ammonites, of which I have hundreds (sorry) but the thrill of finding one never diminishes.

    • @Treasurehunter11001
      @Treasurehunter11001  3 роки тому +2

      Shirley Swaine I didn’t realise until recently that wood-stone was a thing there that’s two references to it in the past couple of days, I was watching Dan from fossil academy prepping a large piece on one of his videos. I still have it and will definitely be looking for more when I am next there. I know those little pyrite ammonites are common there but was the first time I ever found any so was really cool for me I am a kid at heart lol.

      @@Treasurehunter11001 I think all of us who fossil hunt are kids at heart (and in my mind, there's nothing wrong in that) for as I said, though I may have hundreds of the pyrite ammonites, it is STILL a thrill every time I find one, so I really do understood your joy at finding your first ones, I was just frustrated at your seeming disappointment/lack of enthusiasm at finding the wood stone and I was (in my head :D ) shouting at the screen "No" That's your real treasure!" lol. Enjoy and happy hunting.
