Very informative, so in general rule Ceramic goes to wall and Porcelain goes to floor?

I have what seems like glass tiles, we had 2 slip and falls , which my son had to get stitches after falling and wacking his face off granite counter top.Even when we shower the condensation gets on floor which is dangerous. I do have 2 mats now but there is still areas of possible slips. Is this type of tile ideal for a bathroom floor. And are slips common on tiles.

Yes, tiles are tiles but if you get the really cheap thin ones they can crack easily. The most important thing is what kind of adhesive you use. Make sure your tile adhesive is rated for getting submerged in water.

Is there any difference in the porosity of the tiles? You mention the need to seal porcelain. Does this mean it is more prone to picking up and retaining water? Also, on average, are porcelain tiles more prone to bowing during manufacture? Many thanks for your videos!

What do you mean sealing for the porcelain tile? How is it sealed?

I've just realised I've tiled my bathroom walls with porcelain tiles but used a ceramic ready mixed adhesive. Am I going to be in the sh1t? Just finished and it all looks great just hope that they don't all fall off 😞

Hi Bradley, ok, that’s suboptimal really. You won’t get the bond required for porcelain and the flexibility they need. What you might find is that the bond breaks over time and they may pop from the wall (depending on the substrate and if water gets behind). Fingers crossed they’ll be ok buddy. Take care.
