Maverick and Steel Vengeance beating out Top Thrill 2, I can see, but Magnum?!?!?!?!?!? That thing is rough!!!!!!! I only rode it once. Once!!! And I have no plans to re-ride it anytime soon.
When I ridden Magnum back in '03, it was a great ride and pretty smooth in 1-2, then I rode it again in the famed 1-3 and it beat the crap out of me and not in a good way.
I think it would easily be better than the original dragster the launch is still gonna be powerful its gonna have high positives going up the backwards spike and that headchopper might be the best of any coaster
top thrill 2 looks boring af, its just tall. theres nothing special about it other than just being really high and going backwards for a bit, and plenty of rides have done the same layout, or those things better
What was so good about the original dragster I'm not getting it definitely had the best launch ever but I don't think a launch can make a ride world class
The 0-120 launch is gone and it won't be as intense, I honestly don't understand how this can possible be better than the original other than reliability (which is not even a guarantee). I mean swing launches are fun but I think they're very overrated and nothing mindblowing and not nearly as intense as the original launch. I'd say it will achieve high ridership in its opening year but will immediately die down once people realize it's not as good as the og. Guess Cedar Point will be home to the 2 most overrated coasters in the world the other being Millennium Force.

Magnum is very polarizing, and I guess I’m just lucky enough to have gotten good rides on it 😅
