Excellent job Mike in explaining how to make the "Stock Pitch Shot!" I could have used this video today before I played in our weekly club tournament! I was rather inconsistent with my pitching! Probably because I was inconsistent in my set up and doing the basics as you are suggesting. A Job Well Done Mike! Because of what I saw in the video, I have become a new subscriber to you channel!
That’s aweosme Josh! Thank you so much for sharing and for subscribing! I’m so happy to welcome you to the fam! You’ll get those pitches down next time you are out! Keep me posted how it goes and let me know if you have any specific questions on any aspect of the game!
Again straight back with the hands! A great thing would be to do this with a towel under both armpits and use towel and your chest to move the arms and club! That will keep the hands from getting disconnected!
Mike I needed this. I couldn't get my wedges in the air. Watched this video and chipped in 3x on one 18 hole round. Contact is butter. But now my 80 to 130 yard shot is suffering and I can't seem to apply this lesson to get that same butter feeling when I need the ball to go further and maybe have less lofted club. Are the swings totally different?
That’s awesome! Way to go! So the big difference is that when you get past 50 yards you need to start creating some more angle between your lead arm and your club! You also need to be sure that you don’t sway into your back foot in an effort to hit the ball further. Keys -Keep weight on front foot -Keep Clubface looking at the ball in the takeaway (toe down) -create an “L” between your arms and club at the chest high positon -Through the ball move the hands fast and try to hit it low! Here is another video you can reference on how to hit your wedges, a little lower and further! m.ua-cam.com/video/Ul9yS2ERWPQ/v-deo.html Thanks for watching!!
Yes! In a pitch shot, you want to feel like you're the leaning tower of Piza. This will help deliver a downward blow on the ball. For the Hip Bump in the full swing, we bump our hip onee inch to the target BUT we make a full shoulder turn in the backswing where our lead shoulder feels like its going to the trail foot!
Maybe one day! But if you are interested in booking an online lesson with me, please email info@golfpitt.com. We want to make our teachings accessible to anyone at anytime!

Mike are you using a tensei red in your wedge?
👍

Awesome video! Is the lean forward on the pitch shot different than the hip bump?
Yes! In a pitch shot, you want to feel like you're the leaning tower of Piza. This will help deliver a downward blow on the ball.

Butterfly grip with this pitch shot?
Oh yes!
Thanks a lot, what club do you use?
In this video, I was using a 58!
Unfortunately it looks like you are in Southern California. Wish you were in Florida.

My only swing thought during the swing ... keep the triangle! Another great piece of instruction. Thanks
