Love the video Andy! I think a lot of golfers understand that the short game is what helps your scoring the most, but many don't know how to improve the short game. This will go a long way in helping many I'm sure!
Don't often make comments but have to say this is GOLD! Watched and taken to the practice area then the course several of your chipping and pitching tips and the change is huge! Had 12 months of shanks and thins and confidence through the floor. Now I'm picking flights, landing spots and tapping in up and downs. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Glad that I came across this searching for Pelz pitching information. I'm a new golfer, but obsessive when I take something on. I'm reading the Pelz short game bible, but reading words is hard to translate to physical actions. Your technique agrees with his - and your detailed explanations about stance, grip, posture, etc etc were very helpful. liked and subscribed - thank you & Merry Christmas '23!
Your explanation of the golf swing is one of the clearest and simplified that I have come across. I hope it will help me overcome a major hurdle on my golf journey. From Kampala with deep appreciation.
Like it. What I would love to see tips or drills on is tempo and smooth transition. My big fault is rushing the downswing so when pressured not finishing the backswing. Any thoughts/feels would be great
Why do my pitch shots go left of the target? I try to make sure my shoulders are closed and my feet are a little open like you say to do I. This video but my shots still go left.
Interesting. Slow and long is not my swing for short game. Must try it. I was taught the 4 “L”s, Lie, Landing, Length (distance) and only then pick your Loft. I try to follow this each time, but it’s no use with my usual skull across the green…
Thanks for another fantastic video. I’d love to see a video that explains how to read the lie of your ball before you hit a pitch or chip, in order to determine what type of shot is best to play given the situation. Keep up the great work and it was awesome to see you and Pete donate the $25K to Tiny Tickers!
My nemesis shot … They seem so simple, but my brain takes over and ‘panic’ sets in … also tough to practice at average ranges as you’re forced to play off mats … something I’ve just never been able to do …
Andy let's do yardage distances from the sand. 10 to 20 to 30 to 40 and so on. Just what you feel when doing it. I have a good 15 yard shot. Struggle to kno what the difference in feel should be as I go up. Sane speed catch more is tough .
Yeh that is brutally tough. My advice. Never ever leave it in s bunker that will give you those yardages. Anywhere else but the bunker!! Course management
The subconscious reaction of the body to “help” is such a great and under-discussed point. Set up is important! Thanks Carter.

Super lesson Andy, i learned so much from your instruction and it is a tricky shot to execute especially when under pressure

Quite probably the best video I've found on the basics of hitting pitch shots. 👌🏼
Great vlog Andy - I've worked quite a bit recently on this range using your previous content - progress is being made!
Cheers

I watched your video this morning as I was struggling with my pitch shot. I followed your instructions and it worked!

"Dip, Turn, Up"...Like the sequence! Thank you, Andy!
Boom!
your instruction is getting more meaning for me, the more fundamental it is
Glad it’s helping
Excellent video great information appreciate it
Will be taking this to the range tomorrow...
I watched some Dan Greive the other day. I really had a good round of chipping to the green last outing
Dan is a legend
Great video. I Will be using these tips on saturday for my comp. I'll be on the range chipping to targets first! Lol.
Your on fire recently i must admit
Great video of instruction and definitely helpful. Which wedge would be idea in these distances?
It depends on the scenario but i think 54/56 degree as standard
Hi dear- how to make a lift shot for a tree right in front of T and a 3 par green at 140 yards

@7:00 I try to channel Tommy Fleetwood for my extension on my pitch shots.
I would like you to cover proper opsec for deploying hand and foot wedges 🧐
Why do my pitch shots go left of the target? I try to make sure my shoulders are closed and my feet are a little open like you say to do I. This video but my shots still go left.
I have been hitting my pitch shots left which is soul destroying and costly after your other shots were fine but I will be practicing this.
Ohh boy, same here. Very frustrating.

Is this Bristol Golf Club?
Yes indeed

Thanks Scott, very enjoyable video to film too!

I use a strong grip for everything, I never duff a chip & will chip off a tight lie all day every day ! 👍
Good man. Generally that isnt the case thats why I mention it but if its not broken for you then dont fix if
@@andycartergolf 👍
Hence whilst you're here looking for chipping tips 😆 full of 💩
I’m going to try it but he contradicts the king, Dan Grieve, especially with the plant of the right foot. He does make some sense though
Try it ;)
👍❤️
If you need proof watch his up and down ability against Pete in the big skins match😁 way to close it out Andy
Haha you know it
To much talking
Talk way to much
Sorry, I will stay silent!
Will you have a video showing off your new irons?
Yes coming soon
