Yup, I'm a mess! Giggle
Clara, one day, using my AI & air brush, looking at what I'd just blown.....didn't release the air gun & still had the needle nose bottle of Pinata brass pointing sideways in my left hand...a few drops came out & I splattered brass everywhere! Also...NEVER open gilding flakes or mica powders with a fan blowing!!! Lol!!! I'm sure we could compile a book about our oopsies!!l
@@lynnemeyers3735 Ha I've done that with the mica powders before and a fan going! Yes, what a book we would make.
Here's a fantastic tip: This will allow you to have a good grip on the ornament while applying al inks. Get a dowel about 6" long that is skinnier than the opening at the top of the ball. Wrap a couple rubber bands... 2.. 3... 4... at one end of the dowel in order to make that end fit snuggly into the ball. Make sure fit is snug enough to hold ball onto dowel while you pounce or wipe or whatever. You'll have a secure hold of the dowel to be able to turn the dowel with the ball in any direction needed without having to worry about accidently putting fingers into wet areas. When done painting ball, leave ball on dowel. Stick free end of dowel into hole in styrofoam so ball can dry!! I did not come up with this idea. I saw it on an ornament painting video a few weeks ago. I wish I had made note of the artists name so I could thank her & acknowledge her.
