I’m having a real problem with the paint/flotrol mix when I pour it into the ornament to create a white background for the alcohol inks. It doesn’t stick!!!
Thanks. Yes, you could. I would definitely make sure I had at least 3 coats of UV on there first and lightly spray the gloss on there at first and then after that dries, do another coat if desired.
Beautiful 😍😍 I can’t wait to see your other techniques! One thing I’m confused about is if alcohol inks reactivate other alcohol inks, how come you’re able to build layers? Wouldn’t the second layer reactivate the dried first layer?
Thanks. If the alcohol ink has a chance to dry and that is easy to do when you work on another area. When you go over it again, you noticed I didn't stay in that area long and was pouncing. That doesn't wipe it off and just adds to it. If I kept manipulating it while it was wet, it would move it around and possibly off. If you build, go in quick and out again. I'll mention that the next time I do a technique that requires build up. Good point. BTW there is a playlist for all the ornament. ua-cam.com/play/PLZLi8qs8ketvnDKDAoKKQNX2wthDh_PgD.html

I love it! I like my ornaments shiny though. Can you do a gloss coat after the several coats of matte have dried?

Hi Clara what did you use the resin for?😚
Sorry, I left the image and the links in because I primarily play with resin.
