Gorgeous shop. I like the black. Today I watched a UA-cam, Red and April off grid, build a shop very similar to yours. They live in the Arizona desert. They made a time-lapse video of the build. You enjoy watching it.

Make sure you add a cat door!! They work wonders for keeping the rodent away. I also really like that wood boiler setup.
I just picked one up so it's going in tomorrow -- yeah our cats are savage mice killers :)

Really like the videos. On a side note was laughing when I watched the concrete pour only to realize I live less than an hour from Newfield which is where my old boss lives and you do Tree Service work and I own a log truck and haul to the local mills. Small world. Look forward to up coming videos.

Wow! So good to see how it’s all come together and the story of how you did it. Any plans to add a ceiling hoist like I think I saw in one of your old shop vids?
I'm in desperate need of that hoist you describe but keep going back-and-forth on how to install it and where. My ceiling is 13' up so that seems kinda high to me ... for that reason I'm considering building a gantry. Or maybe my low mezzanine will work for some things. Or the garage door opening ... so I'll have to see how it works out

Hello from sweden 😀 Now you have a new place to be in when it is snowing😉 I was wondering why you have you have 2 pumps at the same line? You only need 1🤔
Sweden! I run a second pump on the line with the thought (guesswork?) that it will help the pump at the lowest part of the system. But like you said one would probably be enough! :)
On Amazon, they've got LA D lights are one inch wide and they are awesome. I put him in my wife's sworn room. And they were 60 bucks for 6 of them. And they throw out a lot of light. It wouldn't take twelve of those to light up your whole shop and that's only one hundred and twenty bucks

How far apart are the shipping containers? I got a similar plan just kinda looking at this seeing how my project will look. My trusses are 28' wide so I was planning on placing the shipping containers 27' apart. Looks like these are probably 30
Yeah I’ve got 30’ trusses so put the boxes 27’ apart
What is the advantage of the containers? Wouldn't you get more space by just building it with wood?
In my case the advantage was having immediate storage on site long before having anything built. But if you just want a simple building and, in the end, SPACE and LOW COST are your main objectives, your best bet is a traditional pole barn
With all the tree work you do, why are you not heating with a wood stove or wood furnace?
The water system is all heated by an outdoor wood fired boiler -- so we're on the same page. All of our heat for the house and this building comes from the jobs ... great to have people pay to provide free heat :)

MY VIEW IS THAT THE MORE YOU WALK THE HEALTHIER AND HAPPIER YOU ARE :) PLUS, WITH A LARGE PROPERTY WE LIKE TO SPACE OUR BUILDINGS OUT A BIT FOR PARKING AND MACHINERY AND JUST TO KEEP THINGS FROM GETTING TOO CLOSE. IT'S NICE TO LOOK OUT THE WINDOWS OF THE HOUSE AND SEE FIELS AND WOODS, NOT JUST THE BUILDINGS JAMMED UP AGAINST US ... CHEERS MATE!
