    Times like that the winch remote cord can never be long enough. Glad you are safe. I always say the same thing, I don't do how to videos, I do how I videos and you may not want to do it how I do it. Keep up the good work.

    Just watched all 3 trailer-barn videos this morning, this was fun to watch. I think I enjoy your videos mostly because you use the tools you have and you figure out a way to get something done with what you have, like back in the day when folks had to use what they had.     AWESOME! I feel like there's a bit of a theme in the background where the timely wench upgrade was an instance of providence or something. All of its just sorta come together at the right time.

    those chains are supposedly unbreakable, except you got a big boy winch and a snatch block
    unstoppable force vs immovable object

    What works best for me is to lock in in 4 low and set the parking brake

    That was a tough go moving that one. Those hi lift jacks work great but can be really sketchy too! I speak from experience. :-) That winch has really come in handy. I'm glad it all worked out!

      I'm kinda surprised the hi-lift design is still around given the number of pinched fingers and smashed toes we've all experienced with them. Still, very handy (as you say).

    Oh… man, was I happy to not see your tongue sticking out well you were double jacking those tall boy jacks
    I had one of those come loose and hit me in the chin when I was about eight years old… stars.. then knocked me clean out…. Amazing the rope didn’t break but the chain did that’s just almost mind boguling. Cheers.

    Wow! So, how heavy are those containers? Much heavier than I thought they were, by the looks of things. Breaking chains and cables is very scary stuff! I have faith you will be ok at all times...

      These guys are 8,775 lbs empty and they were pretttttty much empty. Definitely too much for my tractor to lift, and I thought it could lift anything :)

    Get a few sections of 4” steel pipe, you could pull it anywhere you want. But, considering how much pipe is these days, you did great with the wood👍

      If you coated the pipes or boards with liquid dish soap, the friction would be reduced.

    try a tire rim under the winch line next time, as close as possible to the container, the lateral force from the pull and the wedging effect of the rim will lift the attached end of the container off the ground making it easier to drag..

    I agree Spencer.... DO NOT DO WHAT THIS GUY DOES, I on the other hand would have used bigger LOGS to roll the container and not drag it ass into the ground....muahahahahhaa

    I was wondering in the beginning if you asked the delivery guy if he could move the old one. Then I figured he didn't winch the containers onto his trailer. I'm hoping to build a similar structure in the next year or so. Making notes on what not to do

      Oh how I asked Jimmy to lift that other container ... I even offered him $100 (don't think I had it) ... he didn't want to go off the gravel with his truck for some reason. Oh well, it was a learning experience

      I don't really keep track of expenses and costs, if that's that you mean :) But it is my firm belief, having built this building, that you can build a regular pole barn for less $$

      @metaspencer well I was making plans on a house with that design. You think it'd still be best as pole barn? Me doing labor or buying kit and they get structure up?

      I got these containers at different times from an outfit called "Container One." I think the first one was $4k and the second one was almost twice that due to pandemic inflation stuff. So they're not cheap. I have a buddy who just picked one up for $3500 but it's a low cube ... it would be nice to find them second hand and local but I couldn't in my area

      Oh ouch! Yeah those farm jacks are crazy: when they're not pinching your fingers they're falling on your feet. The box slipped off the black jack a few times but luckily the red jack caught it. Yikes!

      It's funny: I had planned to roll it over there on logs but when the first few dug into the ground I just opted to drag it. What you're describing would have been much more elegant
