      Yes, there’s difference between them during each season. My favorite is Mikawa Yatsubusa, Hupps Dwarf, Kuro Hime, Hana Matoi and Lillian’s Jewel

    Your garden is so so meticulous and beautiful!
    Among those which one is most red?

    • @MapleNutz
      @MapleNutz  4 місяці тому

      Orangeola is my favorite of these four lace leaf. As far as the red goes, Crimson Queen’s red is brighter.

    Do you have ever red maple 🍁 tree? I bought one from Home Depot but can’t find it on UA-cam. Beautiful. Garden …

      If it’s an upright red maple is most likely a Bloodgood or Emperor one. If it’s a laceleafy (wiping form) then is most likely a Crimson Queen or Tamukeyama. My big red maple is a Bloodgood from Lowes and my 4 Tamukeyamas are also from Lowes. Do you have the label to it? Scan the barcode with your home depot app and see what it tells you.

      @@MapleNutz Thank you 🙏🏾 so much. I will try to scan it. They had bloodgood , green waterfalls and ever red. I bought waterfalls (wiping form) and ever red looks like it has wiping form and , it’s kind of short . It was very different from bloodgood. Then I bought 2 from the nursery very tall just acer plantar… on the tag 🏷️ confused 😐 .

    where I live there are about 15 JM trees on the property. eight of them are Tamukeyama and crimson queen 20 year old trees or older. The others are the regular green leaf trees. ( 5 point). I'm seeing many many seedlings growing up under the green trees but none under the lace leaf trees. The ? is on the laceleafs will the seedling have seven points on the leaf? all the seedlings I see have five points on the leaf. So I guess the ? is on the lace leaf trees will the leaves on the seedlings have just 5 points? Yes I'm brand new to Japanese Maple trees and bonsai. I've collected about 10 seedlings and some are 8 to 12 inches tall already. Thanks if you can set me straight.

      I promise, I don’t understand what information you are trying to get. But here we go. Seedlings aren’t true to the parents plant, you will get many different varieties from seedlings and they will all look a little different.

      some JM have 5 pointed leaves , some have 7. the laceleaf have 7 the others have 5. When the lace leaf are seedlings will they have 5 or 7 points on the leaf?

    which one is better for 9b with clay loam soil?

    • @MapleNutz
      @MapleNutz  4 місяці тому

      Clay loam soil is way better than sandy loam every time all the time. Clay loam has so much nutrients and the ability to hold nutrients is unmatched while also providing air through aggregation.
