- This is how I met Wanda Wilson, when I was 14, thanks to Buford Pusser, or at least the legend of him. You might need a little popcorn to endure these scenes from our B-movie adventures wherein I play a car thief and Wanda an informant to the exiled Dixie mafia kingpin. Wanda first appears at 5:17 of this clip in the one scene we shared. Before that are scenes I'm in and after are two more scenes Wanda is in.
This is the 2nd among 6 credits IMDB lists for Wanda as an actress (most notably in Craig Brewer's first film: "The Poor & Hungry" - named for Wanda's own "Beer Joint of Your Dreams" in Memphis).
The first acting credit IMDB lists for Wanda Wilson is a 1972 horror film called "Enter the Devil?" which I've been doubtful this is the same Wanda (can anyone confirm?). IMDB mistakenly credits my role as "Avery" from "Final Chapter:Walking Tall" to a prolific character actor named David Leonard (I) who died in 1967 - 10 years before the film was made! The real me in IMDB is David Leonard(V).
We need Buford today.
I was born and raised in McNairy County. I even worked for the Sheriff's Department. I grew up in the Stantonville Community off Hwy 64 and Guys Community. I graduated from Adamsville High School in 1992. Bill Morris was my neighbor.

And BTW (by the way) what’s wrong with your cattle roper that you can’t snoop around and ask some questions and find out what’s going on in your city and take a chance on turning it over to a federal agency definitely not your local police department? You could definitely be the one that might actually make a difference, as I said turn it over to the feds and definitely do not let your local police department know what you were out doing and attempting to do, by hanging out in bars and just keeping your ears open and your mouth shut. And the older and more broke down you are the easier it is to get information from people.

Which would be better, a police record or raking a few leaves. I think we call it community service.

Creative punishment in those days made youngsters think twice and were able to go into adult hood with a clean slate and be productive. Once we started taking juvenile delinquents to jail instead of taking them home to their parents, we created a future crime wave.

"Who's fat ass is that?" Logan Ramsey, Jr really out did himself in the two Pusser flicks. Luke Askew and "that moron ray Henry" also excellent - and of course the late great Richard jaeckel.
Morgan Woodward did an excellent job as The Boss. Shame Witter didn;t get whacked on camers.

In the real chase, just like the movie, Buford knew those boys were drunk, & wouldn't have normally done that; he didn't want them to have a criminal record, at this young age! Good man!

I bought the trilogy Blu-ray dvd of Walking Tall.
I went and visited where this gas station scene was filmed and also retraced the car chase route. I would love to talk to you about all of this.
You retraced the car chase route? Wow. Do you live around there? I was only 14 and I'm not sure how much I can remember to tell you. When you see us in the car we are not actually doing the stunts; we are towed by a camera truck with a camera mounted on the hood. I did also ride in the stunt car which was not supposed to happen but my stuntman double was hungover I heard when they asked if I'd like to ride in the stunt car. I probably should've been paid double for that but it was still a blast for me. I said yes without asking my mother who then saw me zooming around and was not so happy about it..

Sure wished he was here to deal with means of my daily life the bad ones I daily know if people like that here then life might be okay to say to certain folks who the lyer n issue who is the dishonest people he might have to to bust folks out and tell them how dirty low and put them in the correct place where they belong and help ones who are consumed by the assholes who deceave others and suck the energy of life and emotionally killing others with there evil ways and cold hearted family ways he might kick balls around
